It seemed like a life time ago that Professor O'Conner had gone to the library for research purposes. Her Aunt Ashlee had always said that to be a good grand one must remain a student of several thing for the rest of ones life. Professor O'Conner remembered well her surprise when Professor O'Conner didn't balk or blink at the pronouncement.
She exclaimed how even she herself hadn't been too keen on being Grand when she'd heard that. Professor O'Conner explained how she couldn't imagine being Grand without being able to keep learning and adapting, after all, that's how Trithers fell, buy not adapting to the times. Therefore it was logical that no one could lead a Trither without constantly learning about the changes in magic and the Wizarding World.
Aunt Ashlee had smiled and merely stated I knew you'd be a good candidate for consideration.
However today was not a day for adaptive research or learning new magic. Today Ashelle was here to find books on the Black Forest Church. Today was a day of Know-thy-Enemy research, a skill she had taught herself while in the BFC's service. As usual Raiku accompanied her.
She knew there were modern history books in the new part of the library, going on and on about the evils of magical creatures and parading how wonderful Bismarck was for destroying them. She'd even picked up one or two of them. Know-thy-Enemy meant you must know every aspect of him after all.
"This history needs to become the past, like yesterday." she murmured to herself.
She'd also hoped to find some books in the old section about the BFC. She'd deposited her stack of books on a nearby table and was looking delicately though the old section. Being it was a secret organization back then she didn't expect to find much and was surprised to find quiet a bit of odd books on the subject including a scrap book of -what seemed to be- flyers?
"I think we might have a fan here in Mr. Slytherin, Raiku." Raiku looked at her and made the spots above her eyes go up and down one after the other, showing she was curious. This usually made Professor O'Conner laugh when she was down, she liked to call the spots 'Dancing Eyebrows'. Professor O'Conner pet the old dogs head and took the books she'd found back to the table.
"I wish he was alive so he could tell us what he knew." she said to the Malamute.
