FORSAKEN CREATURE APP.
Birth Name: Sorrel Witherbloom
Alias: The Autumn Maiden; Queen of Autumn
Gender: Female
Age: Old as the Autumn
Species: Fae
General Personality: Sorrel's personality, like her appearance, changes with the seasons. In general, she is more interested in the mortals than her kin.
Dominant Appearance
General: In the height of her power, the Autumnal Equinox, she is a lovely maiden in the prime of her youth. She is olive-complected with warm brown eyes that remind one of cinnamon and ginger. Her hair is a mop of russet and golden curls that cascade to her waist.
In the winter, however, her youth begins to fade, and she is a matronly woman with a stocky build. Her hair is coarser and her features dulled by time. In the Spring, at her weakest, she is an old crone with wispy gray hair and a gaunt frame. In the summer, she is a child, and again she grows into maidenhood, until it is finally time to take her place as Queen.
Prominent Features: Ever-changing, her features never stay the same for long.
Other: Sorrel prefers to wear the colors of fall leaves, although the cut and fit of her garments changes as she does.
Submissive Appearance
General: Sorrel can make herself appear as both a fox and a phoenix. She could have other forms, but these are the most common for her.
Optional.
Occupation: Queen of Autumn
Companion: The fallen leaves, the animals preparing for the harsh winter, and all those who enjoy pumpkin spice muffins.
Items of Interest: A magical cornucopia which is forever full of autumn's bounty.
Relationships of Significance: TBD
Powers: She rules the wind of the fall, as well as the harvest.
Strengths:
Weaknesses: Iron, plastic, spring.
General: Sorrel has often been more beloved of mortals than her kin. This is for two reasons. First, unlike the others, she knows the pains and troubles of age, although she is immortal. Secondly, as Man developed agriculture, autumn--and Sorrel by extension--became known as a time of harvest, plenty and celebration. Sorrel provides relief from Aelfric's cruel summer heat, and she provides food to all men.
Her aging is a curiosity among Fae, and even she is not sure from whence this trait came. All she knows is that as the year progresses, she ages from child to maiden to matron to crone. As spring draws to a close, she rises again as a child. There is a legend that it is from Sorrel that the entire race of phoenixes sprang, and she does nothing to dispel this.
Place of Origin: where the first fallen leaf of autumn brushed the Earth
Current Residence: Nymph woods
