As the sun had not yet risen on the castle grounds, it was no surprise that the feast hall stood empty. Still, Zeik paused as he slipped in through the doors, scanning the four tables carefully for any signs of life. There were none. Perfect.
So far, the year was going exactly according to plan. In the past, he had noticed, there were few students around, and the classes that met were a mix of students across all years. Classes that never really caught his interest, truth be told. It was enough to make a boy wonder if anyone would notice if he never showed up.
Thus, this year would be different.
The first day he arrived this summer, Zeik pledged to stay away from the classrooms all together. Roll lists were probably put together by the teachers on the first class of the year, so by not showing up to those he avoided that obstacle. He stayed in his room throughout the daylight hours, avoiding contact with other students or teachers that might question him about his studies. He would have stayed in his room all the time, really, drawing and playing at his leisure, if he didn't have to take care of certain needs.
Zeik had to eat. The only food was here. And the only time that was safe to come here, when no one was around, was now.
Satisfied in his solitude, Zeik made his way to the Ravenclaw table, ready to eat.

Rolling over in bed for what seemed like the millionth time, Jackie heaved a heavy sigh of defeat. Her body just did not want to sleep anymore. Which was surprising, considering she had had only a few hours of sleep. Rubbing her eyes with her palms, she yawned lightly, stretched, and then kicked the covers off of herself. There was no use just laying in bed, she should get up and do something. She grabbed her towel and headed for the showers, glancing at the clock and saw that it was about three in the morning. She gave a quite "Ugh."[/b] and continued to the washroom.
After her shower and using her wand to dry her hair, she slipped into some comfy clothes for the morning, consisting of a tank top and some cute jogging pants, she stretched and then decided to see if there was any food ready in the feasting hall. She slipped out of the dormitories and headed down to, what she hoped was, breakfast.
Stepping into the feasting hall, she saw just a single boy, at the Ravenclaw table. She didn't recognize him that much, but since he was in her house, she might as well introduce herself. She grabbed an apple from the bowl at the end of the table and took a bite as she walked, barefoot, to where he was. "Care if I join you?"[/b] she asked politely, stopping next to him.[/color]
