It was bright and sunny out. Birds where singing off in the distance. Amy walked around the tall bleachers and onto the field. The Quidditch pitch was no different than the one at Durmstrang. But there where differences. Especially when it cam to colors.
After a moment of quiet reminiscing she made her way towards the Ravenclaw Locker rooms and Boom closet. She wanted to see what her team had to offer here. She found the Door to the broom closet locked and un locked it with a simple Alohamora Spell.
She saw that her team had reasonable brooms nothing above nimbus class but they looked in good order. she wondered What the uniforms looked like. And then wondered where they kept the other equipment.
And moments later she was dressed in a Ravenclaw Uniform, and had the best shooting star broom they had in the boom closet. She also had a beaters bat in her one had a wand in the other and the trunk on the ground was open with wo bludgers struggling against their restraints.
Time for some practice. she though as she got ready to fly.
It was a good day to be a Gryffindor. In fact, it was a good day to be a student. No, scratch that! It was a good day to be alive. The sun was shining, the clouds were clouding, and birds were off in the distance, singing and junk.
Channah smiled as she walked. She didn't have much to do today. In fact, she didn't have much to do... ever. Her life was a simple one, but that didn't mean she wasn't excited for her day! Who knew who she'd bump into, or who she would talk to today. Every day was an adventure and every adventure was something Channah wanted to jump into headfirst with all her heart.
Today, she was at the Quidditch Pitch, a place where people went to fly around on brooms, or just watch people fly around on brooms. She was tempted to start skipping, but as a fourteen year old that would be kind of embarassing. It was just such a nice day that she (almost) couldn't help it. She wished that she had her own broomstick and had dreams of owning one of those fancy new ones one day. Of course, 'one day' was probably far in the future and those fancy new ones would be replaced by fancier, newer ones, but that didn't really matter to her. Besides, she wasn't all that great at flying.
She was passing by the locker rooms when she saw that she wasn't alone on the Quidditch Pitch. There, right in front of her, was (apparantly) a member of the Ravenclaw team! Crazy. There hadn't been an "official" match in a while, but it was nice to see that there was still some structure within the ranks of even other houses.
"Hi!" Channah called out, waving as she walked towards Amy. She looked down at the struggling bludgers before looking back up towards the other girl, suddenly unsure of what to say now that she'd spoken. "U-um.. How are you? Nice day, for um, quidditch? Aha.. ha... ha?"
Amy turned her head towards the voice that was addressing her. well she assumed it was he since no one else was on the field. The first thing she noticed was that she was wearing red and gold (assuming hes in his school uniform) He was a Gryffindor, the type that liked to jump head long into trouble without really thinking. She guessed that there where exceptions.
She lowered the broom so that it was now parallel with the flat ground. and the sat down on the broom side saddle-like stayed and the air hovering just high enough for he to sit comfortably and low enough for her feet to rest on the ground.
"Hello my name is Amy, I'm doing fine, and how do you do this fine day?" She asked politely as she pleased the beaters bat on her lap. She had her wand tucked into her wristguard

Channah's boobs quietly sat underneath her robes, there almost solely to remind her (and everyone else, especially Amy) that she was, in fact, a girl. She smiled up at the other girl as she hopped on her broomstick. Dang. She hoped that she could be as offhand about that one day. She didn't really get a chance to practice on her flying skills, so she was way more wobbly than she wanted to be.
"I'm alright!" Channah said, happy to be talking to someone, maybe even a new friend. "My name is Channah. It means gracious." She nodded at the balls on the ground again, followed by her eyeing the large bat in the girl's bat. "I take it you play beater, then? That's awesome! I've never played Quidditch for real before."
She leaned back and forth onto the toes of her sneakers.
"I don't fly much at all, actually." She looked around. "Are you having team practice today?" It was so nice out, it wasn't far-fetched that they could be having practice. She wondered how the line-up was this year, and how her own Gryffindors would match up against them. She had no unhappy feelings towards Ravenclaws, so she hoped it would be just a friendly rivalry.
Amy smiled at the fact that the girl thought she was on the team hell team tryouts weren't for a while. "Oh no I'm not part of the team But My favorite position is Beater. She said. and the she looked over at the ball crate. "I was just gonna smack a ball or two around because i was bourd and wanted to see how good this schools equipment compares to my old school's." She explained
"Do you play quidditch? We could practice if you like i really want to get on the team so i could use all the practice I can get." She asked eager to have a commentator she wonder how this gryffindor held up she expected them to be pretty good players. She knew the house had produced a few. The known ones where Charlie Weasely and the Boy Who live himself.
However Amy had played the same field as Victor Krum, who unlike weasley and Pottter actually had a professional career. She had a lot to live up to being from Durmstrang.
"Oh!" Channah said, surprised at the fact that Amy wasn't on the Ravenclaw team. "I just thought... Nevermind." Channah continued to smile, shaking her head as if to say it wasn't a big deal. She'd assumed that anyone who could fly, and anyone who would in their freetime, was probably a member of the quidditch team. Showed what she knew! She really did have a lot to learn, about a lot of things. Maybe flying was one of them.
"I've never really played before," Channah said, wide-eyed and holding her hands up as if to say 'nah, bro'. "I don't even have my own broomstick!" She raised a hand to scratch at the back of her head in mild embarassment. She knew that Gryffindors were supposed to be known for their flying prowess, but she'd just never had the time! Well, that wasn't exactly true. She did just admit to not really having much to do, after all. Maybe it was time she took up a sport, and if she was going to take up a sport, Quidditch was definitely the sport she would choose. It was so fun to watch, it must be twice as fun to play, if a bit dangerous. But that was what made things fun, right? A little danger? Still, though, she didn't know if she was cut out for the most dangerous position to be in besides maybe the Seeker and Keeper.
"I really like to watch, though!" She smiled, eyes closing briefly as she looked up at the girl, sun shining in her face and through her almost dirty blonde hair. "Would you want to show me some of your moves? I mean, if you don't mind, of course! I just like to watch people fly."
So the girl wasn't a quidditch player. oh well. She guessed she would just have to practice solo. She hoped Channah didn't mind, then The other girl said she actually wanted to watch.
Amy shrugged. Well I am gonna practice either way. There are brooms over there in the schools broom cupboard." She said pointing over at the shed that held the brooms. "That's where i got this one. Can't afford my own so i make do with what's around me."
She mounted her broom and kicked of and soured 10 feet in the air. she pulled out her wand and flicked it at the qudditch box. One of the latched holding a bludger back unlatched and the bludger flew out strait at her. She Spun in the air to dodge it and then ascended to the proper 50 feet. And the bludger curved around and shot back at her but she was ready, wand tucked safely in her wrist guard and bat firmly in both hand she swung hard.
SMACK! She felt the heavy jolt as the bludger and the wooden bat collided. It flew in the opposite direction through a goal post. It looped around and came back. this time she shot at the bludger as fast as she could and in a flash of motion. SMACK! the bludger was sent flying and it was head right for Channa.
AMy pause for only a second to calculate her move. the bludger was moving faster than her broom could go and she needed to act fast. He brought her broom to top speed and threw her bat it flew strait and intercepted the bludeger knocking it Off coarse. but then the bludger was after her again and she had no bat She Kept going "THROW ME THE BAT!" She said as she flew towards the ground.
Channah followed Amy's gesture. There were community brooms? That was news to her, but she supposed that made sense! Maybe she would be getting a chance to practice soon after all. Maybe even today! For now, though, she was content to just watch as Amy went through her routine or whatever it was called when quidditch players practiced by themselves. She supposed that a routine more suited like, a dance practice or something, but when it came down to it, flying around on a broom was sort of similar to dancing. You had to be graceful and you had to know what you were doing to do it properly. They were both relaxing to watch, too, while at the same time being visually and emotionally exciting. A quidditch match was just as good as a good ballet when it came down to it, she decided.
She watched as Amy darted around, in lethal combat with the large black ball flying through the air. She watched, entranced, as the ball flew around and Amy countered each of its attacks. She leaned and cringed and gasped at all the right moments, totally into it. It wasn't until the very last second that she realized that the bludger was heading in her direction. She closed her eyes in fear, sure that she was about the be bludgeoned -- no, bludgered -- to death or at least into a small coma. Out of nowhere, though, she felt it whoosh past her, and she opened her eyes to see, of all things, Amy's bat near her. She looked up, eyes following the rush of black through the air.
Throw her the bat?
Channah's eyes were wide. This day was way too action-packed for her already. Acting mostly on instinct and partly out of fear for her (hopefully) new friend, she pounced forward and scooped up the bat by the handle. She turned to where Amy was flying towards her, and without even thinking, threw the bat end over end at the girl on the broom. Dangerous? Yes. Bad ass? Yes.
"Look out!" She cried after the bat, mostly useless.
The wind kowled in Amys ears and everthing was a blur save for the single object she need. The bat flew end over end and the bludger got closer and closer what happened happened fast. Her hand gripped the bat's handle she swerved just in time for the bludger to to whip her sleeve back she spun and SMACK!
She hit the ball downard it hit the ground and made a sizable crater she lept from her broom and it fell and she fell taking the bludger to the gut as she tackled it while it was coming back up. She wrestled around with it a bit before noticing the box was on the other side of the field.
" would you..." She was slammed to the ground but held on. "Get the box." She struggled to say.

"Oh, no!" Channah cried as she watched the events unfold confusingly before her. Amy grabbed the back and totally hit the ball! The ball totally hit the ground and then Amy hit the ball with herself and then they both hit the ground! Holy crap! This was all just too exciting. She wouldn't be able to watchy any Bruce Willis films any time soon, her heart might just burst.
She stood, dumbfounded, as Amy spoke to her from apparantly across the entire Quidditch pitch. It was a little hard to hear, but she heard something about the box. Also, the 'grond'? What was that? Quidditch slang?
A little confused but always gracious, Channah quickly grabbed the box laying near her and began running towards Amy. The other bludger struggled within his (or her?!) confines as the box bounced against her calf and thigh, but Channah paid it no mind. It was Amy she was worried about, after all, not the comfort of some inanimate animate object.
It took a sec, but she eventually reached Amy across the field, panting as she did so. She dropped the box next to Amy, putting her hands on her knees as she took a moment to breathe. She really needed to get out more! A demure smile crossed her face as she looked at Amy.
"Here you... go." It was hard to talk, and her side was starting to hurt. She eyed the other bludger in the box. "Do you, um... Want help putting that one away?" There was no way it was comfy for Amy to be rolling in the hay with that bowling ball thing. In fact, it looked painful. Wait...
Her brain went through the last few posts scenes in her head. Amy had totally jumped off her broom and tackled something coming straight at her. There was no way she was okay!
"Oh no!" She gasped once more, hands coming up to her mouth. "Are you okay, Amy? Do you need... help? Or or or, medical attention!?"
Channah stared down at the body holding the bludger tight and waited, but there was no response. She waited for what seemed like eternities, or at least two and a half months almost to the day, but nothing came. She felt tears start to well in her eyes. Was... Was Amy Frost dead? Was she witness to a suicide?
Fighting the urge to sob, she quickly stabbed at the bludger with her wand, freezing it and tucking it back into the box. She cast a charm on Amy, making her a little lighter than usual, (she was already quite light, little thing, but she could use all the help she could get) and tenderly wrapped her arms around her body. She felt her curves, her bones, through her clothes, but she could also feel her breathing. She must've just gotten knocked out, or something.
Choking down the sob that finally began to surface, she buried her face in Amy Frost's hair for a moment. What if she was in... a coma? A sleep-like state where she never woke, or didn't wake for months?
She had to get Amy Frost to the nurse, and as soon as possible. Channah clung to her body and walked as fast as she could back towards the school, leaving the broom and box of Quidditch equipment behind.
