To go or not to go, that is the question, the Gryffindor told himself, contemplating whether he should go to the dance, or go somewhere else. Jeremy's experiences with dances has never been a success, and he never had fun at this type of social event. Currently he was in the Gryffindor Common Room, on the world's most comfortable chair. He stared into the fire, as if the answer was in the warm flames.
Jeremy was wearing a black shirt that had the words, "I need medication, because of people like you," written upon it in white letter. To go with his shirt, he wore tan shorts, that barely went past his knees. That was his normal clothing choices, when he didn't have to wear his robes. Well, most people won't dress up for this either, he reassured himself. Jeremy took everything in consideration in his decision to go or not.
He stood up, stretched his arms, and walked to the entrance of the Common Room. After he exited the place that had homed him for the last two years, he turned around and looked at the painting of the armored nobleman, which was also the entrance to the Gryffindor Common Room. Be brave, if I can't handle a dance, how will I be able to handle a worse situation? Jeremy asked himself this, even though he did act well during the Shadow War.
Jeremy decided that his next course of actions should be traveling to the Shining Lake, which was the place he thought most clearly. While Jeremy was making his way out of the school, he walked past the Feasting Hall, home to the dance. "I should enter quickly, see how it is, and I feel misplaced, I will just leave," he whispered to himself, as he entered through the door.
The Feasting Hall looked, we magical. A peaceful night sky as the ceiling, light illuminating from the floor, and everything else a normal dance would have. Jeremy had missed the speech gave by Talon by a few moments. He found a wall in the back to lean against, he was obviously under dressed for this type of event. Women wore gorgeous gowns, men wore brilliant tuxes, and Jeremy wore casual wear, as if he was going to play football or go to a rock concert.
A look of embarrassment could be seen on the face of the Gryffindor student. It seems I should be leaving soon, here is no reason for me to stay, he told himself. He looked at the exits, to see swarm of kids was either blocking them or entering them. Jeremy decided to wait a little longer, so he wouldn't have to cut through a crowd of people. For Jeremy, this was hell on earth, being basically trapped in a place that he no longer wants to be in. "This is torture," he said quietly.
