bic- As Morgan had waited for Lucius in his common room, Willow was now waiting for Morgan in the Ravenclaw room. Not that she knew anything about the pair's secret meeting. More specifically, Willow was waiting in the dorm. The lycan had found her bed easily by the Pendragon girl's scent, and she was now sitting at the foot, a box by her leg and a note folded on top. Seth's note. She hadn't read it. It was the werewolf's business.
On the other hand...
She eyed the shoebox, which held the remains of the color-changing rabbit. The mangled body didn't smell, for some reason. Strange. Willow had wrapped it in her old cloak before setting it in the box. It felt wrong just to leave the box and the note on the bed and leave again. Besides, Willow felt a need to talk about it. For some strange reason.
There would be no need to tell Morgan what Willow was. If she was smart, and since she was in Ravenclaw she obviously was, it wouldn't take much for Morgan to put the pieces together. Perhaps she would even know Willow merely by the information picked up through the girl's other familiars, that wolf and the big bird. A falcon.
Willow sighed and settled more comfortably on the comforters. It had been a long time since she'd been in the dorms, save that uncomfortable episode with Malachy...The lycan shoved the thought out of her mind, and waited for her former fellow classmate to arrive.

Morgan was still exhausted from everthing that had happened to her recently. Seth's attack, Asher's death, Lucius, breaking up with Shadow; all of it took its toll on the girl. She still hadn't recovered Asher's body from the woods. Both Dora and Mondlied had said they couldn't find it, and Morgan was afraid that Seth, or some other predator had eaten it. She just wished she had it so she could have some closure on the issue. Give Asher a nice burial, maybe reminice a little with Dora and Mond.
She wasn't really mad at Seth. Yes, she grieved for the death of her rabbit. Asher was more than just a pet, he was a familiar. He was, essentially, a part of her. Not many wizards knew how familiars really worked, even if they used them. Morgan had studied the phenomenon extensively.
Familliars worked a lot like horcruxes, in that the animals shared your soul. Only, instead of you fractioning your soul into pieces, you bonded your whole soul to their whole soul. That's why it was difficult to have more than one familiar at a time, as Morgan did. The moment Asher died weakened not only her, but Dora and Mond as well. If she ever died, the backlash would kill both of them. Humans, as a large and complex as they were, could withstand the death of a familiar, but since familiars were often simpler animals, they rarely survived the death of the humans they were bonded to.
In any case, Morgan was alone as she clibmed the stairs to her dorm. As she entered, she was surprised to see Willow, but she didn't say anything. She just stood in the doorway.
There were soft footsteps, then the soft creak of the door. Morgan, looking slightly surprised, stood in the doorway, as if waiting for Willow to say something. The lycan smiled weakly and held up the box.
"I thought....you might want him back." She swallowed. "Seth told me his name. Asher, right?" She wasn't really sure what else to do, except apologize. Willow always felt like everything was her fault. This time it was. She should have kept an eye on Seth. "I'm sorry. I should have paid more attention."
Willow looked down at the box, with the folded note on top of the lid. She had managed to find the little creature after she had left Erin behind. Which hadn't probably been the greatest idea. Willow wasn't sure where Erin was right now. "Seth wrote you a note." She waved it slightly. "Sorry I surprised you like this, I know I should even be at the school.."
Morgan was just staring at her, like she wasn't sure where she was or who Willow was. Then again, they had never officially met. Willow tried to remember if they had ever had a class together, or something like that. Maybe. It had been a long time since Willow had seen her. She hadn't been in the village when the others had shown up, but she knew Morgan had been there at some point, that's what the others had told her.
[ooc: Would it be appropriate for me to enter into the thread after your reply, Christine, or should I keep our thread separate? I figure this might be interesting considering Willow-Torrid is extremely complicated and new and Morgan and TJ are like soul buddies and haven't seen each other in, like, a year. >_> You and Willow's call.]

((Once again, I apologize for the delay.))
Morgan opened her mouth to speak, perhaps to ask the girl who she was and waht she was doing on Morgan's bed. However, no sound came out, and Morgan's mouth closed again as the girl began to speak. Asher! What was left of Asher, anyway. Morgan felt the irony of his name. Asher, of Hebrew origin, meaning happy, lucky, and blessed. The little rabbit was neither lucky nor blessed the night he ran into Seth.
Who was this girl? Morgan remembered her vaguely, but couldn't recall from where. She just had a nagging feeling she'd seen her face before. And plants, this girl had something to do with plants. Her name maybe. She could be a Rose, or an Ivy, or a Heather, or a Holly. No... None of those sounded right. It was a tree. Ash? Aspen? Rowan? Hazel? No.
Morgan regained her composure enough to cross the room and take the box. She would bury it tomorrow, first thing in the morning. Seth had sent her. Morgan looked at the note on top of the box and put it into her pocket. She would read it later, when she wasn't so upset. If Seth had sent this tree girl, then she had to be a Lycan. Maybe she was one of the Lycans in the forest that night.
Morgan had to know. "Um...thank you for returning him to me. I'm going to bury him in the morning. Do you think Fenrir would mind if I dug his grave on the edge of the woods? You could come if you wanted. Seth too." She sat on the bed next to Willow. "I'm sorry," she said, "but I can't remember your name."
"It's not a problem." She looked awkwardly around her, waiting for the girl to speak again. Oh yeah. Willow shouldn't have expected Morgan to remember her, nevermind her name. What was wrong with her?
"It's Willow," the lycan replied quickly, avoiding Morgan's eyes. Her eyes were stinging. Tears? Willow didn't cry, this is ridiculous. She blinked harshly and looked up at Morgan. "I'm sorry. I should have paid more attention to Beast. I mean..Seth."
Go with her, a voice pressed. Willow found herself nodding in response to Morgan's suggestion. "I don't know how Fenrir will take it, but he might be okay if another lycan is present." That answer should be enough to satisfy any questions, Willow thought, even though it wasn't direct. "Seth is confined to the forest. That's why he couldn't come with me." No sense bringing up the rest of the punishment. Morgan didn't need to know the gruesome details....

It wasn't Willow's fault. It was hers. She hadn't been paying enough attention to Asher. Of course, beating herself up about it would do no one any good. Besides, she didn't want Dora and Mondleid to worry over her, or worse, blame themselves for the little rabbit's death. Really, it was no one's fault. She smiled weakly. "Thank you again, Willow, for bringing him to me."
She ran her hand over the box's lid. How odd that she would never pet him again, or hear his snarky commentary in her head. She stared at the box for a while. There was no way she'd be able to bring herself to open it before she buried it tomorrow. and what could she do with it until then? She didn't want it too close to her, but stuffing it under her bed for the night seemed disrespectful to Asher.
At last, she lifted her eyes to Willow. "Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow. If you don't mind, I think I'd like to be alone." She fell silent for a moment, before adding, "Orca and Fenrir can come too. You know...if they want to." She had kind of figured Willow was a lycan at the beggining of this business. After all, she wan't from the school, Morgan knew, and she wasn't old enough to have graduated. The only options were lycan or vampire, and there was no way a vampire would have returned somebody's pet rabbit to them.
Oops. She'd completely forgotten about Fenrir up until a point. He had said bury it. And technically, she was. Just not. Right Now. Willow nodded at Morgan. "Um...Fenrir doesn't actually know I brought Asher to you. He won't...Well. Don't worry about it, I'll handle it. I don't think you should go in the woods, but if you really want to, I'll meet you there tomorrow," she added.
The lycan rose and slid past Morgan on hushed footsteps, eyes full of sympathy. "I never had a familiar. Before. But I have lost people, so I know how you feel."
Now, Willow wasn't a very, well...emotional person. As she passed Morgan, Willow gave her a small hug and then slipped away, flush racing across her pale cheeks. Fenrir could get mad, Willow didn't care. It was one little thing. He'd killed people, he had NO right to get mad at her about this. Did he? He was her alpha...Willow shoved that problem to the back of her mind. She would worry about it later.
