Upon reaching the eight floor of Firefox University, you find a short hallway at the end of which stand large, mahogany double doors. A small, glass window is located in either door, each colored and glazed to display two of the four house mascots: a lion and snake in one, a badger and raven in the other.
Once you pass through the doors, you enter the Hospital Wing proper. This is a large room lined with ten beds on either side of the main aisle. The beds are positioned so that each stands directly in front of a large window. Next to each bed stands a small bed-side table, on which a magically refilling water pitcher, drinking glass, and a vase of wildflowers (which are never wilt, of course) can be found. On the other side of each bed there is a chair with a pile of fresh bed linen, towels, and a patient nightgown upon it.
Up above in the room's domed ceiling float magical incense candles. They remain lit all night and take the shapes of constellations in the night sky. The mixed aroma of sage, chamomile, lavender, and eucalyptus help heal the patients while they sleep.
If you continue walking down past the hospital beds, you will come upon another set of double doors at the far end of the room. Through them there is another small hallway that branches off into three rooms: the Hospital Wing storeroom, the bathrooms, and Nurse Lardale's personal quarters.
While the doors to the Hospital Wing always remain open, the room itself is still heavily protected by various spells and charms. The windows are magically sealed; they are impossible to open and cannot be broken through from either side, magically or physically. Also, an alchemy-created dragon made entirely of blue stone has taken up residence in the Wing. It is a unique being with powers unequal to its small size. No danger shall befall those taking refuge in the Hospital Wing while this being is about.
Before your character ventures a visit, take note to follow these few simple rules:
