"Well I haven't been here yet," Toshiya mused aloud as he walked the dueling field. His Shikigami (Japanese familiar), Raijin, walked beside him in the form of a fox. To everyone else it would look like a pet, but in truth Rai, as Toshiya called him, could prove to be quite dangerous.
"So, do you just want to stay here and wait for someone so we can dust off some old skills?" the sixteen year old Asian asked the familiar. the fox gave a soft nod of his head and sat down beside his master.
Taking out his wand, the young gothic looking male sat down in the grass closing his eyes trying to get in touch with the world around him. Well that and to sense the aura of a possible opponent.

Felix was feeling tired yet joyful. He wanted to find out some adventure or at least something yet for some odd reason he felt like he could sleep anywhere. Determined not to give in to his odd dreariness the young thirteen year old decided to watch some people duel at the field.
Wearing a smile pair of jeans and a light red and yellow jack, Felix took the long way down to the dueling field down on Firefox’s grounds. He knew the nice shortcut by heart yet still he wanted the walk. Even the shining sun and freezing breeze could detour Felix from his mission. He wanted to learn more magic to be able to really fight. Gwen had offered to teach him but he hadn’t seen her around. He attempted to ask Morgan, but he had no idea if she would ever do it. Still desperate, Felix hoped watching some duels would get his skill up in the area. He desperately needed to know, seeing the quest that he was to embark on soon.
The dueling field was quite empty when Felix got there, much to his disappointment. A lone Slytherin, with a fox at his side, was dreamily looked about, looking like he was waiting for a fight. The student looked much older then Felix, and he also looked like he could kick butt if he had to. Felix didn’t really want to fight but he might as well make a friend and hope they don’t turn into a future enemy.
Seeing his face, Felix recognized him. He knew he had seen him around before. The distinctive smile and asian look Felix also recognized. Taking a wild guess, hoping he had nothing to lose, Felix walked up to the kid.
“Hey, your Toshiya, right?”
((Blah!))

Hearing his name, Toshiya looked up at the Gryffindor and nodded with a slightly confused look in his eyes. "Yeah that's me," he said softly as he stood up shoving a hands into his pocket. "Why do you ask?" he questioned raising an eyebrow. Looking down at his empty hand, Toshiya smiled and flicked his wrist producing a black rose, a signature trademark that he was beginning to acquire.
"And since you know who I am," he stated holding the ebony flower out the the younger male as an offer, and a token of a possible friendship to form. "Who are you?" he asked bluntly as he studied the boy. Well no big threat, perhaps needs some work in the art of dueling, he thought to himself reading the kid's aura.
This guy reminded the Shaman of a friend that he had back at home. Just as short, had the same basic vibe, perhaps with more of a mischievous look to him. And though Toshiya was looking for a duel or a challenge, there was no shame in making friends with the guy before asking for a friendly duel.

Toshiya didn't seem very hostile to Felix. After he acknowledged Felix, with a flick of his wrist, offered Felix a black rose. Felix didn't think much of it, except that it was odd. Taking it, Felix stuck it in his back pocket for later.
"Oh, I'm Felix. It's just I know your cousin Reka and I wanted to meet you, or at least figure out who you were. It was more of a lucky guess."
Toshiya was nice, not angry, mad, or over achievingly annoying like the other Slytherin guys he had meet.

"Well it's great to meet ya Felix-san," Toshiya smiled with a polite bow in greeting. He met my cousin, well that's very odd I wonder how he pondered to himself as he looked around the field. The guy seemed to check out as okay, perhaps they could grow to be close friends.
"Ah I see," he smiled nodding in understanding. Taking a final glance around the field, he smiled brightly. "So what do you say that we have a friendly duel?" he asked softly and politely. "You see, I haven't dueled in a long time and I want to get some of the rust off," he said with a small laugh.

Felix smiled at Toshiya, he was more then completely different then any Slytherin guy he had meet so far.
"Ah, you say you need to get the rust off, I don't have anything to rust. This is only my second semester with magic so I'm not so keen at all the dueling spells. I know a few basic ones, but not much more, so don't be surprised when you beat me in a few spells."

Toshiya was taken aback from what Felix was telling him. Aww poor kid, know what I will make it my personal mission to help this kid get some experience, he thought to himself with a great sense of pride. "Know what, forget cleaning off the gears, I'm going to teach you how to use offensive magic," he nodded pointing at the Gryffindor dramatically.
And indeed he will, right here right now. Well that is, if Felix took up on the offer.
Toshiya nodded with a grin. "But before we get started. What year are you in?" he asked raising an eyebrow. "And if you want I can try and teach you some eastern magic," he smiled brightly.

"Eastern magic? Sounds like some mystic sorcery that know one knows were it come from..." changing the sound of his voice as to a wise old story teller. "...it's roots are so magical, anyone who tries to find them shall disappear... forever! One who masters it will be mastered by it, never to be the same... it's mythical powers so great... that you become like a god!" Turning back to his normal voice with a smile. "Yeah, sounds fun. I'm third year, How about you?"

"Nah, it's simple stuff really, but it takes forever to learn," he shrugged. "But whatever floats your boat wee man," he laughed at Felix's description. "Third year, interesting," he smiled kindly. "But for me, I'm a sixth year," he said warmly. "But anyway if you want I can try and teach you everything I know," he offered. "Some of it will require us to go to the Crypt, but the things that don't I can help you with now."
Placing his hands on the back of his head and lacing his fingers together, Toshiya began to whistle a common Disney song. The song in question was "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo," from Cinderella.

Felix liked the way that Toshiya was so laid back and nice. Finally someone who was not ignorant, prestigious, or mad in this whole war. Apparently Toshiya thought that a visit to the Crypts was necessary for him to learn.
“Never been to the Crypts. I didn’t know that students were allowed there, and I haven’t had a reason to sneak in yet. Why there? You need the spirits or something to make the magic work?”
((It’s ok man, wow, this post was b-l-a-h! Don't feel like writing a page longer....))

"Well the magic I will be teaching you involves spirits. Well more like opening your sixth sense and communicating with them. I can be quite useful when you need information from a while back," he explained. "And also this is something I will need to get my grandparents insight on, but I can try and see I can teach you how to gain and control a shikigami," he stated calmly.
"Oh and a shikigami is something similar to a western familiar, but they are invisible and can do cool stuff like change shape between human and animal, possess or bewitch people, and even cause bodily harm or death. Though the whole cause bodily harm and death ain't cool, it can still be useful in a fight or flight situation."
Though he couldn't quite control his own shikigami yet, he could at least teach Felix the basics if he could get one of his own.
