"With your entire mind, body and soul you say", grinned Fenrir toothily, "Boy; I admire your determination. But are you sure you can handle the wilds of these lands? For you are out of Africa and everything here is new and unique to you. Why; even the simplest of creatures may not seem familiar to you. But since you are already here and you are a willing pupil; I shall teach you the wonders of the wood. Though you will have to pass a test of course; numbers, facts and information will not serve you well in what I intend to test you on; only your heart's purest desire will let me know what it is you truely are and what it is you truely seek in my domain."
Fenris paced toward a beech tree, a kind that was common to his wood and leaned against it while looking away from the other two. A sad smile crossed his face as he gazed through the breaks in the canopy of trees up into the daylight sky. "You know; you are some of the few people that I have come across in my forest. For I have only met several other beings here and only one of them is like me; even though she is different in so many ways. You; Miles could be my son if we were compared agewise for we both are lycans. You; Telanie are like me in the sense that we both appreciate the wonders that Nature grants us. Perhaps...living in these woods too long with wolves for too long has dulled my interest in company."
"But I do not mind it when it comes to me. So for now; I must bid thee farewell. Telanie Eluvias; I shall meet you in the wood a few days from now. Rest, feast and grow stronger in your heart; for the test before you is not an easy one. And as for you Miles Landon; you are welcome into these woods so long as you do not bring trouble in with you. A lycan you may be, but the stentch of humans is strong on you. I do not say this to be rude; I say this because humans hate me and I hate them. Having humans come into this wood to hunt me down...would be like sending cows to the slaughterhouse. So remember my words well friends and all shall be well."
"Any questions kiddies?", said Fenrir with an estatic grin.
