Telanie walked to the edge of the woods and breathed in a deep breath Ahh fresh air, nature is abundent here. he walked up to the edge of the forest closer and drew a line, he chanted "With this step I walk away rfom man and into the world of the beasts, nature, and harmony." He walked over the line and proceeded until he came to a clearing where he kneeled on the ground rubbed some dirt on his bare chest a prayed. Getting closer and closer to the creaters of this new land in spirit, talking with various animals of the forest. he then reached a darker part of the forest in this 'spririt world' it was something he had never seen before. He was not afriad but curious. he thought he knew about every creature in the world. but this was diffrent. It was hard to consintrate on because it seemed to change shape, it was human but sowemthing else. he got this flash in his mind of a great Black wolf bighting him, or was it this new creater being bitten. it was just a memory, but a signifcant one at that, Telanie dared not delve deeper, into the creatures mind without permission so he simply sat in wait.

Miles hiked through Fenrir's wood. As far as he could tell, Fenrir did not seem to mind other lycans around, for he had not been attacked yet. He was not transformed, and did not do so often. Especially not here, it might have been seen as an act of aggression.
Presently, he came to a clearing near the edge of the forest and there was an interesting sight to greet him. It was a young African man. He could tell he was from Africa, and not just African-American. There was definitely something different about him. For starters, he was about seven feet tall. And he had obvoiusly undergone tribal scarification. He seemed to be waiting for something.
Miles stepped out of the trees. The American approached him and said a greeting. "Hello, how are you? Enjoying the forest? I'm Miles, Miles Landon. You are?"bg

"OOO" He leaped up from his kneeling position, not expecting a human to come from there. Or was it human he couldn't;t be sure. "Sorry I was praying, I didn't expect there to be some one else here. Pardon me I am Telanie Eluvias." He stood and bowed to the man "Yes I do like the forest it calms me, I find it to be very relaxing. And you? Why are you hiking through these woods?" He noticed however that his spirit seemed different his walk and even the way he spoke. Maybe this is why I did not notice him coming.bg

"Pretty much the same here. The forest is quiet and I had to get out of Drakborough. I was going crazy in my little apartment. Well, its nice to meet you, Telanie."
He looked this guy up and down and decided if he were to meet Fenrir, he could take care of himself.
"Do you go to the school? My brother goes there, a Gryffindor. You know, the only reason anyone from up there, come down here, is to find Fenris Fenrir. Not a good idea. From what I hear, that guy is unhinged. He wouldn't appreciate a human in his woods. You gotta be careful. By the way. I'm a lycan like he is, but I, on the other hand, am completely sane."

Telanie took a couple of seconds to take in this new information, he realized that this Fenrir he speaks of must be the creature he saw in his vision. Then came back having figured out his response. "Yes I am a student of this school, and I too am from the house Gryffindor. But really concerns me is this forest. I had seen a vision of blackness.. not evil but something dark that wasn't right or angry. This Fenrir you speak of must be the one I saw. I think that I can help him, if what i hear about him is right then he and I should get along very well."
He then knelt again as too not seem like a threat to any of the animals around.
"However, I would appreciate your help in locating him, I believe that we two have much to discuss. So tell me Miles will you help me? I would be glad to protect you if anything were to attack us."
With these words he reached out his hand waiting for his reply and the traditional handshake.bg

Miles raised an eyebrow but shook his hand anyways.
"Telanie, I think you have it all backwards. If anything, I'm your protection. Do you know what a lycan is? Short for lycanthrope it means someone who is able to transform at will into a large, powerful, wolflike creature. I am one, Fenris Fenrir is one as well as many, many others. It's really more of a curse as you tend to lose control of yourself in that form, but I take a potion to counter that effect."
"Now that you know, shall we go? I'll lead the way and make the introductions should we find him. Hell, I have to introduce myself because I haven't even met him yet." bg

Telanie did not understand what could be wrong with what is natural, but decided that it must be something that Lycans think. After all they are part human.
"Thank you for helping me, let us depart. The sooner we find him the better."
He then jumped up from his postion and picked up his ritual staff, and waited for Miles to lead the way.bg

"Right, let's go."
He led the way down an animal path, sniffing at the air to try and catch the other lycan's scent. He had experienced it more than once, but this time it was proving impossible. "So, if we find him, you'll want to keep your distance. If he bites you, that's it. You're one of us. You think its pretty cool, seven years old. Faster, stronger, better senses. But, people look at you differently, you know? They can tell."
He caught a scent, but he wasn't sure though. Might have been Orca's. He followed it anyways. "Come on, I got a scent."bg
Slumbering a mile up the path was a mound of leaves, twigs, and silver-grey fur. The deep release and inhale of breath was strong enough at times to shake the leaves from their very trees, and that was the reason that many a leaf had fallen upon the slumbering guardian of Nature. Fenrir had fallen into a deep slumber after all this time, for he had not truly slept in some time. He deprived himself of that luxury when he could; there was simply to much for him to watch after to get the large amounts of sleep to satisfy a beast of his magnitude. So after the events that had occured on the edge of the River with Headmaster Windwaltz, he made time for slumber; there was no reason on Earth why he shouldn't be at his physical peak when such tumultuous times were upon him.
In his slumber, the colossal wolf dreamt of all that could befall from his decsion; some of these events would be unavoidable while others could be shaped by his actions. And who would have thought that the stubborn mind of Fenris could be bended with the mention of freedom. All dream of freedom in some form, and the taste of freedom was so sweet that Fenrir longed to taste it more than anything else. His servatitude to Azrael had lasted almost as long as he had been created, and it was his word of honor that continued to bind the two. No matter what he did, Fenris Fenrir would never break his word; but that didn't mean he could have others do it for him.
In the midst of his slumber, his snout twitched with anticipation as he picked up some scents in his dream world. He was no where near awake, but even in his slumber he could discern which way they were coming and what they were. A human boy and a lycan unknown to him where trudging in his general direction; unaware that he lay directly on their path.
Yet there was something different about this new lycan's scent; whatever it was he couldn't tell, but it was something he had not smelt before among his kin. Time to play his ace; Fenrir sent a mental surge into his mind and arose from the ground. As he continued to stand to his fullest, leaves fell from his shaggy coat and black coals stared at the approaching figures that were slowly drawing near. Due to his immense bulk, they had to be able to see him from their distance, so all that he needed to do was to alert them of his presence.
Throwing back his mighty head, Fenrir let loose a howl that few could forget when they heard it in battle; yet these two wanderers had yet to prove a threat. Once finished his howl, he stared hard at the two approaching figures and sent into their thoughts, 'Who enters the domain of the Wood; realm of Fenris Fenrir?'

As Telanie followed the lycan who had so kindly decided to bring him to Fenrir, Telanie couldn't help but get more and more excited about meeting Fenrir. He got the feeling that this creature was trapped but couldn't make out in what way he might be trapped. From what he has heard of this Fenrir he doubted that it was physical.
Continuing on he could feel them getting closer to Fenrir, the power emanating from Fenrir was extreme. Not just that but as he got closer he could tell that the Fenrir had been facing many trials of will and strength as of recently. Such trials these must be. Telanie thought to himself.
They still got closer and at the top of a hill saw the form of a wolf like creature but much larger, it began to stand and shook off some leaves stuck to it's fur. Then it let out loud roar and faced Telanie and Miles. Then something came to his mind, it was the creature talking telepathically to him. 'Who enters the domain of the Wood; realm of Fenris Fenrir?' He could feel the power and sacredness in these words. So he knelt to the ground as a sign of respect, he also brought his staff to his side parallel to the ground.
"My name is Telanie Eluvias, I come from Africa in search of unknown creatures to my self. I felt your presence in the woods and would like to speak to you and share story's of nature. You see I am a man of nature and wish to get close with nature. I need the wisdom of the creatures in every form in order to accomplish this goal." Telanie felt a surge of pride to be greeted by the most powerful creature. He knew just from his words that he would get along with Fenrir.bg
"Animals are such agreeable friends - they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms."
If a wolf could snort in both surprise and amusement, that is the sound that Fenris would have made when one of the wanderers knelt to the ground and addressed him. Either this human had a way with words, unparalleled when it came to convincing the mind of a beast as himself, or he simply meant what he said from the depths of his heart. For it would be in Telanie's best interests to have meant what he said; should Fenris Fenrir detect a lie amongst his flora, he would be most displeased and be forced into...aggressive negoiations.
'Master Telanie; either what you say is true or you are gifted with a silver tongue. No human has set foot into these woods since I first made it my domain, and yet here you are; bowing to me like I am your master. Stand up like a man; for you bipeds were not designed to crawl on the ground like a common beast.'came Fenrir's thoughts int Telanie's mind, 'You say you are from Africa? The Dark Continent; it is called that by some for so much of it still remains a mystery to the outside world. You wish to hear stories of Nature? You want to talk with me young Telanie?'
'No man has wanted to speak with me save the Headmaster of this school and we are on the barest of terms. But perhaps I can chance you; let this first meeting of ours be proof of your intents. And I have not forgotten you lycan, my comrade in arms; what brings you into my realm? And if I may be so bold; what foul stench clings to you? Perhaps it's the nose of an old man, but I swear that there is a stench of death about you but I cannot place it anywhere.'

Telanie was extatic as much as he could be, non the less exstatic." Stand up like a man" to Telanei and most creatures this was a sign of respect and honor, meaning that he was invited to Fenrir's pressence. "As a biped I might be I still respect the laws of nature adn submission is a sign of respect for ones power among creatures. I am close to nature, and nature is close to me. I can fell the ground cry from digging, and trees yell as they are burned or cut down."
Telanie began to take a more serious tone just thinking about thsee horrible things and looked Fenrir in the eyes, this he could feel that Fenrir too had a closeness to nature.
"I am sorry but thinking of such things brings pain to my heart. coming from Africa alot things like that are rarely felt, but in this place I feel like everything is crying out... forgive me for intruding or making assumptions but I feel this in you too. You are trapped by something, and thats not right, i can help you. I would like to become cub is the closes word I can find under you, I want you to teach me the ways these northern lands. That is what brings me to these woods, I could feel the pain all the way from Africa."
Telanie again felt the world cry, he stood his ground still looking at Fenrir, but couldn't hold back a tear and let it crawl through the various grooves of his scares of animals. This he felt was right he had to do this or die trying.bg

The stench of death? Does he mean Skoll? Because I killed him? Or the Wolfsbane Potion?
The sight of this enormous wolf would be enough to humble the most proud man, but Miles stood his ground. He sent out his thoughts.
O great Fenris Fenrir, I was but enjoying the beauty of your woods. I am sorry that we have not had a chance to speak before this. The "stench of death" you speak of, I'm not sure what you mean. I killed a lycan once. A maniac named Andre Skoll. It was he that made me a lycan. I encountered him in the woods near my school and he tried to kill me. We battled for hours but I emerged victorious.
You wish for me to take you into these woods and teach the ways of the Northern Realms?, came Fenrir's thoughts; sounding puzzled yet intrigued. No son of Adam or Daughter of Eve had asked such a thing of him before, and this memories whisked back to when he thought that he had sired Hayzie Roberts to be his daughter. She was something special to him; the first chance that he had given humanity to prove to him that they were not all evil, but it was through Hayzie that Fenrir was betrayed and all hope of chancing Human trust was lost.
Now he had the chance presented to him once more, but in a willing vassal rather than a forced child. Telanie wanted to be with Fenrir; he wished to absorb any knowledge that Fenris could pass onto him about the wilds of the North. Perhaps...yes, this was a perfect time for Carpe Diem; to seize the day. Yes; with Telanie, Fenrir would be able to test humanity once more as he longed to in the past and he wouldn't pass up a chance like this. The mighty wolf stood on his hind legs and morphed back into a man that many feared and hated. "Young Telanie; if that you say is true and there is no vile intent in your heart to undermine this land; then I accept as an honorary member of this Forest, since you are neither woodland creature or supernatural such as myself and Mr. Landon here."
"I can teach you many things that Africa would never be able to yield no matter how hard you try to learn there", said Fenrir; his eyes flickering with the love of his subject, "I can teach you of every tree in this wood; how they grow, what they can be used for and so much more. Every rock, stone, bird and beast that dwells here; I know them all and can pass on that knowledge to you. But you must pledge to me that you will follow my teachings once they are taught to you. I do not ask you to follow any order that I give you, but to live by what I teach you."
"And you Mr. Landon, forgive me for being suspicious of you; for I cannot afford much love to a lycan that would kill his own. But if what you say is true, then you did the honorable thing and held your ground; rendering you victorious. It's just I once knew a man name Skoll, but he wasn't Andre Skoll; the mention of his name made me remember several interesting missions we went on. But if there is anything that I can help with while you are in this wood, then tell me Brother so that I can assist you. Now Telanie how do you pledge yourself to what I am willing to teach you?"

ooc:It's all good friend
bic: Telanie became ecstatic with what Fenrir had said. He finally was able to feel the hope and warmth of the knowledge of all nature. He knew that Fenrir could teach him a lot. And now he felt feeling from Fenrir as if this was not the first time, so he felt at ease that the lycan would know how to teach a human. To be human with out knowledge was a waste of space, this is how Telanie felt and now he would be complete with the teaching that were to come from Fenrir.
"I pledge with every fiber of my body mind and soul, that with this knowledge of which you will bestow upon me, that it shall be used for the greater good of nature, and everything that nature stands for. This is my word and i offer it to you. It will never be broken."
Telanie felt great pride for being excepted among Fenrir and his forest. He would remember this day forever. To Telanie this was more then just getting a new teacher this was about being more then just human. With every fragment of knowledge was passed down to him from other creatures he became closer to nature, and with the knowledge of Fenrir, he could be closer to nature then he had ever hoped.bg
