Invite only...
The moon shone bright overhead as the lithe teacher picked her way through the forest- her first lesson as a teacher had been a delightful hit, and she wanted to duplicate that in her second lesson. She wanted something that would make the students go wild, but something that hopefully wouldn't get her fired. That would be incredibly bad. So she had come into the woods to search. Maybe it was a bit naive of her to think that it wasn't that dangerous of a place, but she was a teacher. She could take care of herself. Herself... and Bennett, of course. The dog had refused to stay behind when he'd seen her leaving her room, so she had decided to take him with her. Maybe he could provide her some company, and hopefully he wouldn't turn out to be a bit of a liability. Right now, she was just hoping that one of the creatures in here didn't have a taste for dog.
So far, she'd been in the forest for a half hour and hadn't found a single thing. Eventually, when she could no longer see the school, she had begun to leave tiny red sparks to light up where she'd been, just so that she could make a quick exit if needed. And, so far Bennett had been on his best behavior. She had decided to leave his leash back at the school, since it might be a bit of a hinderence if they were to get into any trouble. Plus, he was a very well trained dog. She had no doubts that he would stick by her side, no matter what, through thick and thin...
"Bennett! What the hell....?!" The border collie suddenly let out a loud bark that ended in a howl and then took off, racing through the trees so fast that she could hardly follow him fast enough. Something had, apparently, caught his attention. Psh. Most likely, it was something that could easily tear the both of them in two. It was a good thing that the moon was full and illuminating the forest, otherwise she probably would have tripped over at least five logs and torn her cloak on five hundred or so branches. But, despite all of this, her wardrobe remained immaculate. That was one thing she'd been taught in Africa- how to race through the forest, and still come out looking like a complete babe.
However, that wasn't her main concern tonight.
"Bennett! Here boy! Please come back... I've got treats!" She said, trying a combination of whistling and jiggling a treat bag in an attempt to bring the animal back to her. No luck, of course. He could be damn stubborn when he wanted to, and he probably wouldn't decide to come back for a few days. This would be the last time she ever let him out of the castle without a leash... next time, it would be a leash all the way, twenty-four seven. Sighing, she decided to leave. For now, her hunt for the perfect lesson was over, and right now the only thing she was hoping to find was her own less-than-intelligent animal.
