The forest was rather nice but why was it off limits to the students of Firefox?
The thought occupied the Second year Ravenclaw as she slowly wandered around the forest. She won't get lost. Her mind can trace her back to the school. A simple task.
Not long after, the girl had taken a seat underneath the shading of a tree. The girl had brought her bag with her and soon took out a not very worn sketchbook and a box of pencils. It's been forever since little Selly last drawn anything...
And so she kept sketching but kept her mind open. The forest was closed off for a reason...

Marc was doing his usual ordered exorcises -this time a run around the forest- when- a odd smell caught his attention. That smells like a person but it's not Ashelle, he thought. I should go warn her, he sniffed the air again to make sure, yes, I will go warn her to leave before the others find her. Marc trotted towards the smell but suddenly stopped. It had occurred to him that she might be with the BFC. He decided to approach her silently, then if she was fine he'd back track and come in normally. Luckily there was a bluff nearby covered in brush and bushes, a look out he'd used more than once. Silently he walked to the edge and lowered himself so he could see who it was. As he had suspected, twas a girl from the school minding her own business and - was that a drawing she was making?
Art and Music is how most Beings decide whether other Beings are intelligent. Marc recalled his Father saying once. What many don't understand is that there is Music in what they call 'howling'. You know this as Wolfsong. Nor do they see the beautiful art in our water baskets or our hide-bags. The reason why even you young males must learn sewing and weaving is to preserve these traditions, until other beings are ready to understand that we too are truly intelligent beings.
Marc jogged back to where he'd first caught the girls scent and walked forward somewhat noisily so she wasn't startled when he finally walked into the glade. Hello, he called out to her with his mind. Is there room for two where you sit?

The first telepathic message from the lycan had startled her at first due to the fact that her mind hadn't kept a good lookout while she sketched. Selena had been too concentrated on the drawing itself or else she would have sensed the lycan already. The only reasons that the girl had believed Mar must be friendly was that his mind's voice sounded young and an enemy, or even a vampire, wouldn't ask to sit with her.
Selena's silver eyes glanced up from her own sketchbook and glanced around for the source of the telepathic message. If the little Ravenclaw had been surprised that she wasn't alone, Marc should get a kick out of her reply with telepathy. She quietly muttered a charm onto her sketchbook as the drawing had been about one of her visions once more. The drawing had to be hidden inside of an illusion. The book was more of a mental and emotional relief to her than anything else the psychic had tried.

Marc trotted happily into the clearing and sat down in front of her, not really paying any special attention to the telepathic reply. The kids at the school were wizards right? He assumed she had put a spell on herself or was just replying along the line he'd sent to her.
Miss, he thought to her, with a sad whine, It grieves me to inform you that you are in terrible danger. Mr. Fenris Fenrir -who's woods these are- doesn't like students or other wizards in here. If he found you he'd be extremely put out. Please, won't you allow me to escort you to the edge of the forest? I can assure you the tree's are just as pretty from the outside as they are in here. He gave her a sheepish smile and bowed his head to her, trying to show her he was sincere.
Selena could only blink as she slowly comprehended the words the little lycan had telepathed to her. Looks like the rumors were true. Fenrir really did dwell in this forest.
But still, the little Ravenclaw had never met a lycan before and he seemed to be pretty young too like he was almost a pup but not quite an adult. Marc was even caring enough to warn her about the supposed 'Almight Fenrir of the Forest'. But still, if he stated that she was in danger, then she must be in danger.
...Ok....I guess I'll have to trust you on that. What's your name?[/i] telepathed Selly as she put away the sketchbook and the pencils that was used inside her bag. Before long the young girl was standing up with her bag slung over her shoulder. Thanks for warning me.

It was my pleasure to help, and my name is Marc, of the Streampaw Clan thought Marc back to her. Then he walked over to the log she had sat on and sniffed that air. Ok, the coast seems clear this way. Follow me, I'll lead you back to the edge of the forest. Marc turned down a deer path. He trotted slowly, he didn't want the nice girl to lose him after all.
Do you have a preference of what I should call you, Miss? he thought, trying to make conversation. Also, if you don't mind me asking, what made you come in here? A dare, perhaps? My father always said dares are fool's games and should always be walked away from, while challenges are an honorable way of settling a dispute. The trouble is in telling them from one another. Marc paused to sniff the air again then turned to make sure he was still being followed.
Selena had started to follow the lycan as soon as he started trotting. He wouldn't need to worry about losing her due to the fact that she could keep up and even if she got lost, the girl could find a way out on her own. Just follow the minds.
Marc...That's a nice name. Mine's Selena. I don't belong to any clan unless you count the house of Ravenclaw. [/i] answered the psychic with a small smile. And no, it wasn't a dare. I only grew curious. Even for a 12 year old, the girl kept up with the lycan.

Curiosity killed the pup, but satisfaction brought him back, quoted Marc of his Gram. Then he smiled and trotted on again. Miss Ashelle told me you're clan is the smartest in the school, she told me she had a heard time keeping up with you guys. I suggested to her that she find her own way to learn if classes stressed her out as they seemed to. I wonder if she ever found a way.
Marc trotted on, pausing every once in a while to sniff the air, but finally brought her to the edge of the forest and back onto school grounds. Just through that clearing Miss, on the other side you shall find the school. It was lovely to meet you, but please if you ever wish to meet again, just ask Miss Ashelle. Marc smiled and sat down to watch her walk back, to make sure nothing happened to her at the last moment.
...I thought Curiosity killed the cat...[/color] Selena wondered as she followed Marc through the forest with only one trip which made her land on her face and that was over a hidden rock. A faint blush graced her pale face due to embarrassement and the little Ravenclaw immediately caught up with the lycan.
We're not that smart. We still make mistakes even if it's not on a test. And I don't know. I'm not in any of Ashelle's classes. Didn't I say that you could call me Selena? I do have a name besides 'Miss'.[/i] The last comment was only meant as a joke as there had been a small laugh after it was telepathed.
Okay, see you then Marc? And thank you![/i] Selena could already see the clearing and the school. She walked over the edge and to the other side but not without waving 'good bye'.
