It didn’t take very long for Quin to desire returning to his old stomping grounds. The Gryffindor had gone into the Woods twice now and returned fine and dandy, even having met the Lord Fenrir. They weren’t the greatest of friends but apparently they got on well enough that the boy hadn’t been killed. So when he was back at Firefox it was no surprise that one of the first places he wanted to go was into the Woods and try and make some mischief as usual.
He remembered something about Talon telling the students to stay out of the Woods because it was dangerous, but Quin hardly believed it. Why should he?
The Gryffindor boy was in his school robes as he snuck out one foggy morning across the grounds and headed into the Woods. He walked right into the trees and found a suitable one for climbing. With a grin on his face he heaved himself into the branches and got himself well off the ground before getting his balance and positioning himself on one. He pulled a whistle out of the front of his robes, a dog whistle. Why not? Lycans had sensitive hearing, he bet it’d hurt the Lord’s ears.
He also pulled out his wand and with a wave summoned a giant water balloon. Putting the whistle to his lips he blew on it long and hard, holding the balloon and waiting for his target.

He had heard the piercing blast of the whistle from the depths of the Woods and Fenris Fenrir was immediately alert. There was no one in the pack that had such a whistle, or at least he didn't know of it, and that meant that the source of the noise had come from outside of the Woods: or someone had brought it into his domain. Rising to his feet, Fenris transformed into his colossal lupine form sniffed the air and his nostrils flared when he caught scent of the intruder.
He growled menacingly as he recognized the scent that befouled his realm: this one had defiled his Woods once before and worse: he had managed to escape unscathed the first time. This time though he wouldn't be fooled again. Running through the woods, the wolf ran through the trees as he homed in on the source of the disturbance.
And as he entered the clearing, the boy was sitting up in the tree with what appeared to be some kind of balloon. Transforming back into a man, Fenris stood by the trunk of the tree and glared angrily up at Quin. "You are not welcome here boy. I do not know what possessed you to enter my territoy again, but even Windwaltz knows that your kind are not welcome here," barked Fenrir angrily as he clenched his fists at his side, "So you have three choices: leave now without any consequences, come with me and be judged by the Pack, or drop that balloon on me..."

Quin was delighted that it was Fenrir himself that was going to come. He heard the giant wolf running through the underbrush of the Woods, making the Gryffindor giggled as he raised the balloon ready to drop it. And sure enough it was Fenrir who stood below him having answered the call of the whistle like a common dog. Anyone else would be afraid but he never had reason to be before so why would he be afraid now?
The blonde boy took a moment to ponder over his options comically, one finger on his chin. “I think I’ll go with the option of dropping this balloon on you and getting out of here unscathed as well!” Quin said, releasing his burden of the balloon to fall upon the head of the Alpha lycan.
Quin didn’t stick around though to watch, he turned and stepped on a nearby, moving between tree branches as he laughed to himself. Well, it was good to be back!

The boy, however hadn't counted on A creamy furred wolf head butting him out of his tree back onto the ground next to Fenrir after releasing the balloon
Willow heard the whistle too, and curious as well as irked at being awaken from her sleep, the young lycan broke into a run. She found her Lord and the wolf Leseur near the outer edges of the forest, and Willow frowned as well as a wolf could. A fellow Gryffindor.
Ex, Willow reminded herself. Fenrir's new laws kicked her in the gut, but death on this boy would be easy on her. He was a fool, and now he dared to strike out against the Lord. He would die. Lips drawn back to show eloganated, pearly fangs, a growl rising in her throat, the young lycan crept forward.
Maybe the Lord Fenrir have mercy on you, Willow snarled, ears pressed back on her skull. She didn't look at Leseur. It shook her slightly on how easily he adjusted to this killing, but perhaps it was a good thing. Tail swishing slightly, the fur along her spine bristling, Willow was no puppy. She was an irritated, hungry wolven.
Fenris didn't even bother moving as the balloon sailed down and burst on his head. As the water splashed down his face, soaking his hair and beard, a wolfish grin appeared on the man's face and he said, "And just where do you think you're going?" at the very moment that Leseur burst from his hiding spot and brought the boy to his feet. "Thank you Leseur for your assistance," said Fenrir as he planted a heavy boot onto Quin's sternum and pressed down on it until he could hear the small pops of the bone under pressure.
The lycan's nose twitched a little bit as he picked up another scent, and Willow entered the same clearing. So she hadn't run off like Roan had, and now she was going to witness Fenrir's tried and tested form of mercy. Grinning, Fenris stomped down onto the boy's chest several times until he felt the human's ribs cracking under his heel. Heaving the wizard to his feet with both hands on his shirt, the dark-haired lycan shook his head in a mothering manner before throwing the boy against the very tree he had just been in.
"You know, if there is one thing that I can't stand it's when people either don't listen to me or they're just too stupid to realize what's good for them." Striding over to the boy, Fenris grabbed him again in the same manner, enjoying the sight of blood on the boy's crippled body, and threw him against a hornbeam tree near Willow. "I gave you the choice to leave unharmed. I gave you the choice to be judged before the pack. Yet you have so much muck in your ears that you clearly didn't hear me the first time," continued the lycan as he walked over to the crumpled form of the boy.
Cradling the boy's head in one hand and digging his index finger into the left ear of the boy, Fenris poked the edges of the eardrum experimentally before doing the same thing to the other ear. Releasing the boy onto the ground once again, Fenrir took a few paces back and stared quizzically at the student. "Well I'll be damn, you've got nothing in your ears after all! So I'll restate my previous offer once again: either we drag you out of here alive and drop you at the edge of the Woods were you will surely be rescued."
"Or I kill you now for your numerous offences. This is as far as my mercy extends, so trend carefully with what you say next: your life is in your hands."

Well well! Fenris Fenrir had gotten himself some friends!
Quin was caught by surprise as Lesseur knocked him from the tree and he fell quite unceremoniously to the ground. He shook his head to clear it upon landing and was going to get up and head away before one of these lycans got him when a boot suddenly smashed upon his chest. The Gryffindor let out a gasp and looked up at the dripping wet face above his, letting out a smile though he was really clenching his teeth against the pain.
The boy refused to scream as the lycan stomped upon his chest, biting the inside of his cheek instead and keeping that crazy grin upon his face. Quin would be a trickster until the day he died, and no trickster went down screaming like a baby. He simply cocked his head when the lycan heaved him to his feet. He was basically ignoring what the man was saying, kinda like he had ignored the boot camp instructors. He found that it made them go away easier.
After he made contact with the tree he had been thrown in the boy winced as his chest heaved in pain. Well, it couldn’t be worse then what the White…whatever had put him through in the War. The Gryffindor did what he knew unnerved those messing with him. He laughed. Even as Fenrir stuck his fingers into the boy’s ears, he laughed. Laughed through the pain, focusing on the raucous tones of his laughing to ignore it all. Apparently he had actually pissed Fenrir off this time, and he intended to take it further.
“You won’t kill me!” Quin said, gasping for breath. “You could have killed me before and you didn’t you big old puppy!” The Gryffindor said, trying to hide his pain through laughter, even in his twinkling blue eyes. “So why don’t we try door number four. You ignore this whole judgement thing and introduce me to that babe of a lycan over there.” He waved and winked at Willow, wincing again.
Of course she was in her wolf form, but he didn’t really mean it. The only reason he knew she was female was because of the voice that had echoed in his head. “Oh, it’s not his mercy I’ll need. How could he have it on his conscience to kill such a fun fellow as me?” He flashed his pearly whites back at Fenrir, not moving from his spot.

What
the
hell.
Suddenly, shooting out of the woods around the clearing came a fast moving and medium sized ferret. It had rich, deeply colored black and yellow fur and bright blue-green eyes. The ferret skittered over onto the Gryffindor's chest, and it looked almost...
Can a ferret even look angry?
It jumped off his chest and moved to stand a few feet away from the boy, about an equal distance from the boy and from Fenrir.
Then the ferret seemed to change into a human wizard wearing the black and yellow robes of a Hufflepuff student, with a big shiny badge showing his status as Prefect.
"WHAT. THE. HELL."
He stared angrily into the other student's eyes. He was well aware that he was doing something dangerous just by being in these woods, and he would probably die, too, but he was going to make sure that Gryffindor suffered for this.
"MISTER HAYNES! WHAT! THE! HELL!"
He turned to Fenrir and bowed deeply, as respectful as possible.
"I uh, I guess you're Fenris Fenrir? Lord of the Forest? I apologize for coming in unannounced and all, and I beg your mercy, but this goddamn idiot decided to just break the rules so, as a um, I guess you could call me one of the school's Alpha's closer pups, it's my responsibility to come get him out of your Wood and back into the school."
He turned back to Quintin and gave the boy the most severe look he could muster.
"And I'll make certain he suffers plenty for this! He and his whole house! I'll start with 25 points and recommend you for a detention with Professor Leseur! He'll have you pruning plants for a week! I can't believe you, Mister Haynes!"
Oh shit, he just realized he could be killed, too. Maybe this wasn't the best idea, following a student into the Wood.
Willow watched the proceeding events that could only be called torture with cold, reptillian eyes. Approval briefly flickered, then disgust.
You deserve less than what he gives you, she told the Gryffindor. Everything but her sire was gone from her attention, her sire and his prey. This was no more than a game of cat and mouse.
This boy was going to die here.
The lycan glanced up, showing only mild suprise at the sight of a mad rodent entering the scene. Her surprise grew at th sight of the ferret changing. Another student. Well. He was polite, in his own way, but also very stupid.
My Lord. If he'll go, and you allow, I'll escort this one back to the edge. Willow dipped her head, hackles raised. He will not go unpunished.
It would come down to whether Fenrir trusted her to carry out a punishment. Willow did intend to do so. She wanted to prove herself to her Lord. But she didn't want this student dead. They didn't need more than one death at a time on their paws.
Stepping up to the boy, a Hufflepuff by his robes, Willow raised her intelligent eyes to hid face. You're intentions were good. But I do not believe Mr. Hayes will be leaving these woods alive.
Her own emotions surprised her. She didn't care if this Mr. Hayes died. Maybe Romulus was right. The Gryffindor's catty comment might have flattered a lesser girl. Unfortunately, Willow wasn't in a mood to be teased. She now had two reasons to escort Conor out. One, to get him out alive. Two, to keep herself from taking a chunk of Hayes back to her den.
Crouching down next to Quintin's head, Fenris roughly grabbed him by the hair and brought his face close to his own. "The reason why I didn't kill you before was because I do have a conscious," snarled Fenrir as his single eye bore into the boy's, "And the reason I give you another chance now is because I'm not stupid: killing you gives Talon a reason to kill me and my own, and I'll not let him have that. Also you really need to learn some manners" Fenris' left fist smashed into Quintin's forehead before raising to his feet. Licking some of the blood off of his knuckles, Fenrir spat next to the insolent boy and said, "And not address a daughter of Fenris Fenrir in such a manner."
Still standing next to the boy's head, Fenrir's jack-boot slowly rose above the Gryffindor's head and suddenly a ferret jumped onto Quintin's chest. It pranced about angrily and suddenly transformed into a wizard when it leaped from the boy's chest. A wizard who spoke in a very proper manner, who addressed Fenrir in a way that he'd not witnessed before, and who had a distinct accent. Surprised by the audacity of this other boy, Fenris backed away a few steps to look at him.
"Brave of you boy, but ultimately foolish," said Fenrir as he looked down at Connor, "It is not your responsibility to bring students from the Woods, it is your job to keep them from entering in the first place. Entering these lands brings you into my territory and I pass judgment on those who enter it. I have already given the Gryffindor two chances to accept my terms, but each time he has denied me. So I will ask him one last time." The dark-haired lycan glared down at Haynes and pressed the heel of his boot against the boy's temple.
"You will leave these Woods with Talon's Prefect: both of you will be escorted out by my daughter and the Prefect's punishment will be enforced on top of whatever the Headmaster gives you. If you refuse" the boot pressed down harder on the boy's soft cranium "then I kill the Prefect. And you will have to live on, knowing that because of your pranks you have caused the death of a boy who was only doing his job. Choose now and choose wisely: I will not make any more exceptions."

OOC: Crap crap crap crap...
The boy blanched slightly when he saw Connor enter. But that wasn’t long lived as Fenrir was still insisting on beating the crap out of him. Honestly, what had the Gryffindor ever done to the Lord of the Woods to warrant such a foul beating? “Sir, thinking is not the easiest of feats with a boot pressed upon my head. Especially when the boot holds such a smelly foot.” The boy said with a very wincing smile as he tried to look up at the lycan with twinkling blue eyes.
Well, he said he’d kill Connor. Why should the Gryffindor believe that? “Forgive me Fen if I don’t instantly grovel and say that I will be leaving the Woods. I am calling your bluff though, as you have yet to kill jolly old me all this time! Why should I believe you would harm this boy, especially when he appears to be half ferret!” The blonde winked at the Hufflepuff. There was no reason in Quin’s mind to believe that the puppy dog who had his boot upon his head would kill anyone here as he hadn’t before.
“So I think I will stay. I have intentions to woo that hottie over there. And do you think I could build a treehouse?” The boy was laying down limply on the ground, ignoring the throbbing pain that ran throughout his body from the beating. His happy nature took over again as he waited for what he believed was the inevitable decision to just send Connor away.

ic: The degree of how much anger Fenris felt could not be quantified nor summed up in words, for those mere measurements of emotion wouldn't do it justice. Here was this boy, whom he had made fully aware of the consequences that were before him, and despite the fact that another person's life was on the line the Gryffindor was still taking this like a game. The Lycan had never in all his days witnessed such a lack of comradry, not even the slightest concern for another of one's kind, and this was the source of his rage.
And regretfully Quin wasn't the one that would be paying for this: not yet at least.
Faster than one could've predicted for a man of his size and age Fenris was at Connor's side. And with his left hand grabbing the boy's wrist and his right firmly grasping the wizard's shoulder, the dark-haired lycan ripped the boy's arm out of his socket and stood in the path of the blood that spurted from the wound. Relishing the smell, the taste of the salty fluid, the Lord of the Wood bathed in every moment of the experience before turning his attention away from Connor.
Tossing the arm onto Quin's chest, Fenris stomped harshly on the boy's stomach as he drove his message home. "Now do you realize the cost of your folly, boy? I told you the consequences, I gave you more chances than a fool like you deserves, and yet you still thought this was a game." His single eye was livid, the black iris lulling about in its socket as he was slowly losing more control as the bloodlust took hold. "This one was brave, he has enough courage and honor to place the lives of others of his kind before his own," barked Fenris Fenrir as he gestured at the bleeding Conor, "At least he had the decency of trying to do what was right for the both of you!"
"And now you have another choice to make: you can either believe my threat to carry weight or you can stay here under the assumption that I won't kill you. Leave now with your prefect and you might be able to save him before he bleeds out. Stay, and I shall make sure that you die painfully for ignoring that one's sacrifice."
