He couldn't help but spare another grin for Gabriel's laughing statement. Wait, so this was hanging out? They were hanging out?
Yessss. He'd known he'd get through to the stubborn boy sooner or later. They were so totally hanging out. The lycan grinned to himself, pleased, but was disrupted in his personal victory by a movement from the newest arrival.
Again, Nemo took his hand, though this time it was for a handshake, not healing he didn't need. He wasn't sure how handshakes usually worked -- since when was the last time he'd actually done one? -- but this one seemed a bit prolonged. Not that that was a bad thing, of course. Touch of any kind was nice, especially when it was a nice, reassuring touch like this. The kid said his name, and then moved on to touch his shoulder, and Orca's eyes first widened and then brightened, and he leaned slightly into the other's grip.
He liked this Nemo guy more and more. No one else was ever this nice to him, not ever! It was a welcome change, really. Not even Sparky was this... He shook himself out of the thought, cheeks heating up. Not the time! Besides, Nemo was saying something, and to him, so he needed to concentrate and respond.
“Do you come by often?”
"Ahh, yeah, I do." He came by a lot more than he should, truth be told. It was just, hanging out with woodland creatures all the time got old fast, and he hadn't felt very safe in Drakborough ever since he'd seen those posters about the 'Wanted White Wolf' there. That, of course, didn't exactly keep him away, but nonetheless. "My... friend," a pause there, not that noticeable, but there anyway as he tried to decide what to call Sparky and in the end settled for simplicity, "works at the school? Oh! He'll be your teacher, if you take that one muggle whatever class."
What had it been called again? The lycan ruffled a hand through his hair in thought. Muggle... Ssssigns? Schedule? Something that began with an 's', anyway.
On his other side, Gabriel began speaking, still looking pretty amused about something -- Orca wasn't exactly sure what. Disappointment showed plainly on the lycan's face at the boy's words, but his response was still plenty cheerful. New friend, after all!
"Whaaat, I have to wait?" drawled the lycan. "Pshhh, fine." Town again, it seemed. Orca just hoped Gabriel didn't go off killing more of his favorite chocolate-shake-makers. That'd been fucked up. "It's a date, then."
He smile turned cat-like, curled at the corners, and he wondered idly how many subtle little flirts it would take before Gabriel just threw the knife at him again.
Speaking of knives...
Orca found the knife Gabriel had thrown him to use earlierthat I forgot he was supposed to have for like four posts from where he'd stuck it in his back pocket (not safe), and held it out to the boy, not trusting himself to hold it.
"You want this back, right?"
It'd be kinda dumb to end up just keeping it when one, he'd just bought Gabriel a new knife to make up for the other ones the boy had lost while fighting him and two, because he didn't need it at all.
