It was late in the night, well past midnight. Elle slipped into the crypt, carrying Felix with her. The young vampire glanced back, trying to see if the vampire who'd been in the tower was following them. There didn't seem to be anyone....Once she'd set Felix on the Crypt floor, Ellesa Pierce took a quick look through the Crypt and found it deserted. That was a bit of good news.
His arm looked...not good. Elle tried to look it over without disturbing him. He was still unconscious...she didn't know whether to be grateful or not. The young vampire got up and more to the Crypt opening, unwilling to go far from Felix, but wanting to find someone who could help.
Somebody, somebody, she thought, wishing she was telepathic. Unfortunately, she wasn't. The smell of smoke was thick in the air, and she wondered how many were up trying to put it out. She didn't know. Elle bit her lip, eyes flashing red.

A pair of eyes scanned the scene from lofty height. A pair of wings beat silently at the dark of night. A pair of feathered ears heard all that was said. The gentle predator watched and waited overhead.
'Wake up, mistress.'
Morgan was tormented by nightmares. Fire, death, and destruction plagued her slumber. There was an awful sense of urgency present as well, as though Morgan could, no that she ought to, do something. But, that was silly. She had done something. She had locked away Lucius's demon. She had stopped the fire, death, and destruction that the creature had planned to deal out. Hadn't she?
'Wake up, mistress.'
The tower was on fire.
Morgan was confused for a moment. This felt like her nightmares. She cast her mind out to the source of the earlier call. She found him, and he made sense of her nightmares. There was no time to waste. Her hands found clothing as her feet found her trainers, and she exchanged her night gown for a dress better suited for going out of doors. She also made sure to grab her bag, which was prepared, as usual, with anything she might need.
'The Crypt, mistress.'
Morgan acknowledged, and slipped through the dark castle, silent as a shadow. Strange how much time she was spending in the Crypt these days. Her eyes adjusted to the gloom. Her wand was out. She had no doubt there was danger afoot.
"Elle?" Morgan pronounced the name carefully, as she recognized her friend. Her amber eyes glided past the Nosferatu. "Felix!" The Gryffindor didn't look so good. Had Elle lost control of herself? No. Felix was still breathing. This was to do with the bonfire in the tower, then. Her guess was confirmed, and her eyes glazed a little, as she received the information of what had happened.
The prefect rushed to Felix's side, hand in bag, searching for some potion or device that might be of use. She came out with a flask of synthetic blood. Felix looked like he had lost a little blood, but Morgan gave the flask to Elle. "Here, drink this. You look terrible." Then, the Ravenclaw set her wand on Felix. One spell to mend his arm, another to help him stabilize enough so she could give him potions.DERP!
bic- The vampire looked up to the sky, hearing a low cry. That hawk...What was it doing out at night? Elle frowned, and tried to ignore it. Felix was still out like a light behind her. She glanced back, anxiously. Beyond the crypt, something clicked. A door? Elle looked up and found Morgan in the opening, worry written across her face.
Ignoring the wand, Elle took a few steps to greet Morgan, but then the Ravenclaw's gaze fell on Felix.
"We jumped...out of the tower. There was another vampire, and Ashelle-"
She paused as Morgan held out a flask. Frowning slightly, Elle took it, then undid the lid. Morgan was right. Elle knew she looked bad, and Felix was starting to smell very appetizing...Quickly she took a drink. It wasn't as good as the real thing, but it satisfied her. She would have to hunt later..
"Is he okay?" she asked, watching Morgan anxiously. "I was gonna come find you but I was scared if I left the other vampire would come back and..."
The Crypt smelled of Romulus. He had been here. When? Where was he now? That thought broke off everything else. What if he comes back?

"He'll live." Morgan was busy finding fractures. There were quite a few of them, including his arm. "Lucky Mondleid called me when he did. He says the other one's gone, but If you don't mind, could you stand watch while I work?" Morgan had no idea about Romulus, other than that he was the vampire who'd sired Elle. She'd heard a few whispered rumors about him, but her dulled human senses couldn't detect the traces of him Elle had found. The mention of Ashelle, she ignored, for the moment. Morgan would ask the red-haired prefect about the incident on her own time.
Instead, she bent to her task. "Don't struggle, Felix." she said gently. And she carefully positioned his body, so that all his bones were ready to be fixed. She pulled on a pair of goggles, which were made out of some Spy-Inside lenses, and a pair of Muggle swimming goggles. They were her own invention. So many breaks. He had really jumped out of the tower, hadn't he?
'Why didn't you catch him, Mondleid?'
'Because, mistress, I did not expect him to jump. Besides, I didn't want to get caught by that other vampire.'
Morgan couldn't fault the Eagletross for that. And anyway, Mondleid was not always so gentle when he caught someone plummeting through the air, Morgan knew from experience. Felix might have gotten busted up anyway. Morgan used a few episkeys, and then held up Felix's head, as she gave him some Skele-Grow. It was her own mixture, though, and it should taste a little better than the commercial stuff. One of his bones had been pretty much pulverized.
"Why were you up in that tower anyway?" she asked to both Felix and Elle.

Pretty Butterflies. Pretty Unicorns. Jumping over rainbows. Darkness. Darkness climbing out of a dark… endless pit. The darkness slowly crawling. The Unicorn just moo’d. Darkness was taking form. Pink and orange frogs were playing chess. The darkness had a face and a voidless body. It was uuuugly! That face of the Nosferatu grinning. His hands, long disfigured fingers, started to eat the rainbow… everything started to go dark. Images blurring. Blurring. bluringbluring—blur—
Felix opened his eyes to see three orbs in front of him. One of the glowing illumination of the moon, another was Elle’s pale vampire face, and the third… the third was Morgan. Morgan always saved Felix when he foolishly almost got himself killed. She always did, except for when she was busy killing herself. He smiled, eyes half closed, he was safe.
Working off Elle’s memories, Felix reconstructed what had happened. Remembering the potion, Ashelle and Elle. The monster. Felix remembered jumping… and… that was it. Felix had read so much about the Nosferatu, yet actually seeing one was just… amazing. How could something that ugly be so beautiful? It was ironic… the most powerful creature he had ever seen was also the most grotesques. He had seen it dodge that spell, he saw it fly. The thing could FLY! The thing almost killed him…
His arms. His whole body. There was pain, white pain. He could feel the magic enveloping the blood cells and rejuvenating his whole corpse anew. He had jumped off the tallest tower and lived to tell the tale. The potion. It had saved his life.
Morgan’s words of “He’ll live” were quite comforting. He trusted those words. If Morgan had said “OH NO! HE’S GOING TO DIE!!!! WAAAAAAAA!” Felix had no clue how he would respond, and hopefully he would never know. He knew somehow if he died in Morgan’s presence, she would always blame herself somehow. No. Felix would live.
Just as he tried to speak, Mo required him not to move. Rolling his eyes he stayed silence and watched as Morgan used some ‘x-ray’ goggles, which he wanted to chuckle at. He had stumbled across a spell that made your skin and muscles transparent for a brief moment after the incident with Forgoil in the Hospital Wing. Still, Felix let Morgan help him. He was in no position to do anything but just lay there.
The Skele-Grow was… interesting. Morgan must have brewed it herself, and Felix even tasted a slight deficiency of one ingredient, but he would never inform the Ravenclaw of this fact… he knew Morgan hated it when he was a know-it-all. It worked wonderfully though, and he felt the awkward sensation of his bones being flitted back together, scrapes being pulled together like medal scraps with a magnet.
“Very good question… I was… uh, well, testing out a super-jumping potion I had just created, which worked by the way, and I decided to check out the tower when I heard voices. A Nosferatu showed up, never seen him before, and wanted to eat Ashelle and kill me. He broke my arm then I started to talk to him about it when Ashelle decided to ignite the whole tower and the Nosferatu literally flew off. I had no option but to jump. The potion slowed my decent, which was awesome and probably saved my life, but I still almost died. Elle just brought me here. I suppose you two have meet before?”
Felix could never take anything seriously.

Even though she didn't breath, Elle let out a whoosh of air, a sigh of relief. He'd live. He'd be okay. Maybe. Morgan had said she would live...Elle downed the rest of the bottle, made a face, and dropped it on the crypt floor. The bottle clinked against the white marble and skidded across the floor.
Then Felix woke up. Elle felt like hugging him but that didn't seem like a good idea. She'd probably only cause more problems. Smiling, Elle moved to the Crypt opening and watched, as Morgan requested. The bird was circling, and Elle assumed that was Mondleid.
"We met...before I was like this," Elle said, gesturing at her pale, undead form. Her eyes flicked over Felix, to Morgan's tired face, and then back to the great bird in the sky. She remembered a large dog, or a wolf. Whatever it was. What was the beast's name? She couldn't remember.
Elle wondered how many familiars Morgan had. "Morgan and I met up a few days ago, I was supposed to meet her again, but I got...tied up," she explained weakly, glancing at her hands. She'd been worried about Romulus, and had spent alot of time looking for him. That had been a failure.

Felix didn't always know everything. Morgan knew of the transparency spell, of course, as she had been highly interested in medical magic for a long time. Of course, the effects of the spell were limited, and could interfere with some of the other spells she might have needed to perform. Her goggles, on the other hand, caused no interference, and worked just as long as she needed them to with no limitations. And the 'deficiency' of the Skele-Grow was another thing that was on purpose. Ordinarily, Skele-Grow was for regrowing bones. Morgan had tweaked the formula so that it would heal multiple fractures at once.
"Try not to speak so much; you've lost a lot of blood," she told the energetic Gryffie. "I'll have you patched up in no time, but then I want you to rest. All the magic in the world can't heal you as well as a little time and a good sleep can." She slipped him a bottle of blood replenishing potion, and used her wand to put another bottle of synthetic blood directly into his veins. The synthetic stuff would cycle out in a day or two, but it would be time enough for the potion to do its work.
She listened as Elle spoke, answering Felix's questions. She had wondered what her friend had been up to. She had assumed something important had kept her in the Castille, some aspect of vampire un-life that Morgan was not acquainted with. She finished up her work on Felix. There, he was as whole as she was going to get him, although he'd doubtless say he'd have been able to do a better job on himself, the git. At times Morgan found his confidence and know-it-all attitude endearing, other times, she found it annoying.
bic- Keeping watching was, at the most, dull. Nothing had happened. Thankfully. It wasn't that Elle wanted something to happen. It was just she wasn't thrilled with not being able to go home. But she had to watch Felix, it was sort of her fault he was like this. Maybe she could have done more to stop the other vampire..Probably not, she thought bitterly, staring into the night. The smell of ashes was still thick on the air. Again, she wondered if the Gryffindor was okay, and where the Noferatsu was now.
Glancing back, she noted Felix had dropped off to sleep. Good. That meant he wasn't in pain anymore. Or maybe he was just that exhausted. She glanced at Morgan, wondering, if she hadn't become what she was now, if Morgan would have been her best friend. Which was pretty much what she was now.
"I need to get back," she said finally. "Before Romulus comes looking for me again."
He did worry alot. Elle bit her lip, looking worried. "Thanks Morgan. For everything." She took a few steps beyond the crypt before looking back. "You can get him back on your own, right?"
