Professor Amy Ravena walked into the Bar, and sat down at a small table. After a long day of work, it would be nice to have a small drink. It was her first term teaching here, and she is enjoying it so far, though lessons haven't started yet. It was great here, and many minions students have already signed up for her class. She nodded towards the waiter so he can get her order.
Joker was about to close shop when someone entered. Usually Joker would keep the bar open until late in the night (because that's when most people came), but lately barely anyone came in. After being signaled over by the woman, he made his way through the few customers that was there. Joker had been thinking about closing down the shop, or selling it. He needed the money, so the ladder seemed more convenient.
"Welcome to my bar," Joker started. He doubted that he needed to say his name was Joker, because the sign outside of the bar said in big bold letters, 'Joker's Bar'. He was always nice, mostly to his customers. "Tell me what you want, and I'll get it. I have all the drinks you can imagine, and even some food," Joker explained. He didn't list the food he had because most people came for the drinks only.

It wasn't long until someone else also entered the bar. As the blonde haired Headmaster walked into the bar wearing common black robes instead of his usual striking purple ones, he noticed with surprise that it was almost completely empty. The last time he had been in Joker's Bar, it had been overly crowded and business was packed.
"Hey Joker!" He said casually, walking over towards the two at the small table, "Long time no see, back from your sick trip? Goodness, I haven't seen you in your bar in a long time. Then again I haven't really been in your bar in a long time..." He felt kind of guilty for that. Though he'd helped the wizard start up his bar, he'd barely gone since the War, and hardly even before then.
He looked over at the seated lady, who he did not recognize as his new Arithmancy Professor, "Oh hello there." He said quieter than his words to Joker, "Mind if I sit?"
Joker was nearly startled when he heard his name. Barely no one addressed his by his name. He became used to 'Barkeep' or 'Mister'. He turned around to see a familiar face, Talon Windwaltz's face to be exact. He was pretty honored to be visited by one of the most busiest men around these parts. Way more busy than Joker has been lately.
"Hey Talon. Long time no see indeed!" the mustachioed man said with a smile. "Sick trip, Talon? To be honest it was more like a lazy trip. But no worries, the new hiree did fine in my place," explained Joker. He barely knew the person he hired. Joker practically grabbed some young kid from the streets and said to work for him. Joker guessed he joined from intimidation more than anything. "To bad I had to let him go."
Joker decided to wait for the woman's order before he asked Talon what he wanted.
"Of course I don't mind, Headmaster. Please do sit." Amy said towards the Headmaster's way. "And Joker? May I have a glass of wine, to celebrate my new job, and maybe a creme brulee along with it, please?" said Amy, nodding towards the barkeep.
"So how are things going, Headmaster?" she asked Talon, as she smiled lightly at him. Her dark hair shaded her eyes, and her pale green eyes were hypnotizing.

Joker nodded his head as he listened to Amy's requests, and said, "No problem." Honestly it was no problem. Joker loved cooking and his skills in fire magic allows him to flash cook food, and it tastes as good as it would if he took his. He didn't consider himself to be a master, or a good chef for that mater, but he knew how to make a creme brulee.
Before going into the backroom, he went behind his bar and grabbed the best wine he had. Joker also grabbed two glasses, one for the woman, and one more just in case Talon decided if he wanted wine. Joker sold by the bottle, but his prices are pretty cheap, mainly because he gets the shipments for nearly free. Joker flipped the bottle in the air, while going to the table, and caught it by the head of the bottle, nearly dropping. I guess I'm getting too old for that, he thought to himself. Joker got to the table and poured one glass of wine, nearly to the brim. He left the bottle and the other glass on center of the table.
"Now for the creme brulee," Joker said. He made his way to the backroom and grabbed the ingredients; eggs, sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Joker knew that there were a couple other ways to prepare creme brulee, but everyone who tried his creme brulee liked it.
Joker cracked cracked the eggs, and deposited the yolks in a decent size bowl. With the yolks, Joker dumped about a third of a cup of sugar into the bowl, and began to whisk. He then added the cream and the vanilla extract while he whisked. When he felt the mixture to be perfect, he divided it into six custard cups. Joker then place cups in a pan filled with an inch of water. Now was the time for magic. Joker knew he couldn't heat the water up to much, because it would just evaporate. He touched the pan and concentrated his power. In just a few minutes they were ready. Now he had to chill them for an hour or two, but luckily Joker had a great freezer. A magical one to be exact. In a few more minutes they were ready. Now all he had to do was melt some more sugar on the creme brulees, and re-chilled for a little while.
Finally he was done. This was the only was he knew how to cook creme brulees. Joker made enough for six people, because it was the usual amount he made. Joker brought them out, and set it on the table. All Joker said about the creme brulees was, "Enjoy." Joker then return his attention to Talon, and asked, "What would you like?"
OOC: Sorry for the magical items (freezer), and the magical powers, it was the only way I could think of to make creme brulees without being gone for a couple of hours.

ooc: That's fine, it would be strange if you didn't have magical items/cooking.
ic: It was only once Professor Ravena had mentioned her "new job" that the Headmaster realized he had been meeting for the first time outside of owl post his newest teacher. "Ah! So you're Professor Ravena," Talon said, now comfortably pulling his chair out and sitting down as Joker went off to fix up the order for his customer. "It's a pleasure to meet you in person for the first time."
At the mention of how things were going though, the Headmaster could not help himself but throw his head back and let out a rather exasperated sigh. "It would be impossible to explain the business in these past few days! My office has been flooded with admissions acceptances, children from all over preparing for the new year! It's going to be an exciting term, I can tell, but goodness..." As he trailed off his head returned to its normal position and he quickly composed himself again. "What I mean to say is it's going wonderfully."
Joker returned, and handed over the glass of wine and delicious treats to the Professor, and then turned to Talon in preparation to take his order. "Oh," Talon said, closing his eyes for a moment as he considered, "How about a nice cold glass of milk. That's good for the bones, hmm?"
Talon's request was a strange one. "No problem Talon. You are an odd one aren't you?" Joker said as he backed his way the bar area. The question he asked needed no answer. Joker headed behind his bar, and grabbed a plain glass. He spent a few seconds looking for milk in the bar area, when he remembered that he kept his milk in the fridge. "Never had I needed to get a drink from the backroom. Odd, odd day. Customers, creme brulee, and now milk," he said, too quiet to hear, unless you were next to him.
Joker walked in to the back room and then open the fridge. He grabbed the milk and poured it into the glass. The wizard returned the milk to the fridge, and then went to the table where the two sat. "Here's your milk Talon, enjoy!" Joker said with a smile. "I'll be behind the bar if you need anything. Just holler and I'll be here in a jiffy. Enjoy your food and drink."
He left the glass that initially put on the table for Talon. Just in case he decided to have some wine. Maybe a Headmaster drinking is frowned upon, he thought to himself. Joker grabbed a bottle of Scotch, and began drinking from it. The bottles of alcohol he randomly drank from was never returned to the shelves. He usually finished the bottle, getting plastered in the process.
Amy smiled at the barkeep's wonderful cooking skills. Who ever thought a barkeep would cook so well? She picked up her spoon, and began to dig at her creme brulee. Wonderful. This was the best one she's ever tasted, in all of the world, even France, the creator of the pastry, didn't make them good enough as this. Amy smiled in content, and took a small sip of her wine. She hadn't drank in a while, but tonight should be a bit of celebration, since it was her first day and all.
Amy looked back to Headmaster Windwaltz. "Milk- your bones' perfect companion!" she laughed. "Quite a pleasure, indeed. Of course it's going to be an exciting year. We've got you as Headmaster, right?" she smiled. "But if you ever need any help with things, I'm always here. So, how was your day?" she looked at the blond-haired Headmaster.

"Thanks, Joker," Talon said, taking his glass of milk and sipping it. Clearly his choice of drink had left an impact on both the barkeep and on the new Professor, however the latter's reaction was far less negative. Talon watched as Ravena began to eat the enormous batch of creme brulee - enough for a whole party to eat from. He wondered if she would have the stomach to take it all.
"Me as Headmaster? Don't see how that would make anything exciting, unless you count constantly in moral peril as exciting," Talon said, speaking the bitter truth, "However this year might be different, you know? I have a feeling. We might finally get a bit of peace around here. Or at least I hope so. The more people always leads to the more chances of danger.
And my day? Oh just same old same old, paperwork, more paperwork, admissions letters, more paperwork...how about you?"
Amy laughed when Talon spoke. "Probably so, and if there is to be disturbance of the peace, then we shall be stopping the disturbance from where it starts," said Amy. She looked at Talon in the eyes. "Now what's life without a bit of danger?" she questioned, with a small smile. "And my day was... well how should we put it? Lesson plans and annoying students," and she laughed at what she said. She pushed over about a fourth of her amount of creme brulees to Talon. "I don't think I'll be able to finish all of these. Mind helping me?" she asked.
