[/i]. Her throat burned fires, aching for more carnage. Venomous saliva pooled behind her teeth and human blood almost frothed as she choked again; unable to feel nor cry.
How dare he come back! He was gone. He had been erased. Now he tried to force her to remember him. To be what she wasn't? How dare Lucre! "Pr-...ince..." She half spat, crouched on all fours and stuttering. Her involuntary convulsions caught, drawing her head back with a furious, horrified screech. What was that? Why did he trick her? Why... "Ro-........!" She screamed again, unaware of who she yelled or for what reason... couldn't he just die and let her rest in peace?[/ul]
Romulus was behind schedule. Grossly behind schedule, at that. He had many plans he had wanted to set forth into motion, not least of which the goal of unifying the vampires and lycans against the wizards. He had set that plan into motion the moment he had enlisted Orca as his servant, though in retrospect how well had that paid off at this point? The wolf proclaimed absolute loyalty to him, but at this point he'd done nothing more than hindered him. Attacked him, though it was granted it was at the whim of a sorcerer, in the Tunnel, and interfered twice with his people's feeding on account of his growing attached to his human pets.
The vampire knew it was better to keep the wolf on his leash even if he grew a nuisance. It would be easier to dispose of a domesticated pet who wouldn't expect it over a vengeful wolf that knew it had been forsaken. Plus, it was no lie that Romulus was a little attached to the wolf as well. Had they both been mortal, they might even have been friends. So the Prince spared him, for now. He hadn't outright gone back on his oath yet.
Though since Romulus had already found two mortals who Orca prized over him, he was beginning to wonder just how far 'Alpha above all others' really stretched.
The Prince was stirred from his ruminations by a shriek in the foyer, and Romulus quickly darted from his first floor parlor to the entrance. His eyes fell upon Victoria, looking as much of a mess and a monster as she always did. With a smirk, Romulus reflected on how it seemed all female vampires not of his bloodline ended up completely detached from reality. He didn't view it as a poor quality, however, on the contrary he found it quite charming. Pitiable, but charming.
So that smirk didn't vanish.
"Yes?" Romulus responded to her shrieks, his voice deadpan.
Say goodbye As we dance with the Devil tonight Don't you dare look at him in the eye As we dance with the Devil tonight
