Teagan calmly walked down to the quidditch pitch. Since her move from Magic Horizons, she hadn't played quidditch at all, though she had told Morgan Pendragon, Ravenclaw's quidditch captain, that she would play if they needed another member. Ravenclaw's first match had been against Hufflepuff. Everyone played well, but Rezna caught the snitch first and ended the game at zero points for Ravenclaw and one hundred fifty points for Hufflepuff. Teagan had only seen the end because of other things intruding upon daily time. Apparently, only three of their team actually showed up for the match: Morgan, Dom, and Navara. Since the Ravenclaw team was incomplete, anyway, only Cecied, Sparky, and Areya didn't show up. Charlotte, Forgoil, and Rezna played for Hufflepuff, and Forgoil had done an outstanding job as keeper, so that didn't help Ravenclaw much other than the fact that they had the same number of team members. This only meant that Ravenclaw needed to have much more practice. It would be a shame to lose every match...
Recently, Teagan told Morgan about the date for their next match. Oddly enough, the captain appeared disgruntled and was packing to leave. In short, Morgan had asked Teagan to get Sparky and start a practice, but the captain did state that she would be there for the next game, fortunately. Teagan didn't ask why their fourth year would be leaving for a while; it wasn't any of her business.
Teagan's long hair was pulled back into a pony-tail again. As usual, her bangs insisted on not being pulled back or pushed out of her eyes; she was used to it by now. Her straight red hair fell down her back and easily fit to the few curves and ruffles it could find. It was funny what could happen when playing quidditch. Quidditch was one of the most popular wizarding sports around. In a few places, it had some competition with the sport quodpot, a game where the players tossed around an explodable ball. It was popular back in the USA, too, but the prefect preferred the varieties that came with quidditch compared to quodpot. Considering she hadn't heard anyone talk about quodpot in Europe, it had been easy to decide that most students agreed. Of course, if they liked quidditch, they were going to show up anyway.
The prefect's old broom still worked well enough, but she intended to buy a new one very soon. She had some money saved up that she rarely used. In fact, the most recent thing she had bought was a pair of of cheap shoes. They were black and fit her feet well. Teagan was wearing regular robes because muggle clothes wouldn't help when it came to actual matches (even though she always wore them under her robe), and she didn't have a set of quidditch robes for herself since she wasn't officially part of the team.
The weather was pleasant. It had a few bunches of fluffy cotton clouds, but the sky was otherwise clear. The sun wasn't disastrously bright, either. There also weren't many birds. Teagan had seen a very slim amount of them today. It seemed unusual, but this was Teagan's first summer in Spain. She let the thought slide. The air was warm, but it probably wouldn't cause anyone to sweat immediately. There was also a breeze pushing along the tufts of cloud, cooling down all around. It wasn't a gentle breeze, but it wasn't a more powerful one, either. Teagan supposed that it would probably pull in a storm later. That was only more of a reason to start up their quidditch practice soon. Teagan's hair tangled and untangled itself as she turned around.
She was in the quidditch pitch, now, and she had brought the quidditch case carrying all of their things needed for quidditch (except brooms, the field, and the hoops) out. She had told everyone in the common room that they'd be having practice and had then stuck a paper on their bulletin board talking about it again. Hopefully, Ravenclaws would arrive soon, especially team members; they desperately needed practice. It was five minutes until the time Teagan had said.
