Exhaling deeply as he gazed up at the evening sky from where he sat in the stands, the teen closed his eyes, resting his head on his hands. He wasn't here to fly, hell, he couldn't. He'd tried, and failed. So no, this was no time to fly.
Sighing as he opened his eyes, Shadow dug a hand into the pocket of his muggle attire. Pulling out a small bottle of tablets, the slytherin tipped a couple out onto his palm, swallowing the medication in disgust. "I can control my anger, I don't need this sort of stuff," he muttered, rolling his eyes as he replaced them in his pocket.
At least he had thought he could. Lately though, everything seemed to have gone downhill. He couldn't carry on, and he knew deep down it was getting far out of his control. He flared off at the slightest thing, lashing out verbally to all who tried to speak with him.
Running a hand through his wild mane-like hair, Shadonious stretched his hands over his head, yawning as he leant back - his ankles crossed on the back of the seat infront. It's so strange like this - as though everything around me is at harmony with one another... he mused to himself, gazing across the pitch with a smile.
With a broom resting on her shoulder, Lexi walked into the stadium. Only to take the wrong entrance and get lost in the stands. The evening sky was starting to show signs of stars dotting, and the place felt oddly calm. Looking around for the actual pitch entrance, something caught the sixteen year old's eye. Is that Shadow? she asked herself as she quietly walked in the dot's direction.
Right as she was about to greet him cheerfully, she saw how calm he looked for once. "Hey," she whispered as she flicked a piece of his hair. Sitting down beside him, she looked up at the sky running a hand through her now shorter locks. "You alright Shad?" she asked raising an eyebrow as she crossed her legs. "Need to talk about anything?"
Call it female intuition, but the Slytherin could sense that something was seriously wrong with the male beside her. Did him and his girl break up or something? she questioned in her mind. Though she was unaware of the fact that everything seemed to be spiraling down, she was willing to be there to catch him if he fell.
"Or do you wish for me to just shut up?" she asked with a smirk as she lowered her flat cap over her heavily lined eyes.

Hey
Going cross-eyed for a moment as he looked up at the stand of hair, the slytherin smiled as his gaze was met with the familiar figure. "Alex," he spoke softly, still stuck in his dream-like state. What kind of medication does this? he laughed inwardly, shaking his head in an attempt to bring himself back to reality.
A child like smile upon his expression, Shadow nodded in response to her question, "Yeah. I'm fine, I guess." Closing his eyes as he inhaled the night air, the teen yawned quietly. It was strange how he was enjoying being so peaceful. Then again, after his counseling with Erin, he was pretty much certain that this had to be fixed. He couldn't keep up being so angry all the time.
"Where've you been? You owe me a prank war," he grinned, turning his gaze back to her as he rested his hands behind his head. Wow, I actually missed her, he thought in shock as he directed his gaze back up to the stars.
"Yeah it's me," she smiled raising the cap from her eyes. Propping her feet up on the seat before her, she closed her eyes smirking. "Good, because I do not want to have to kill someone for hurting you," she muttered unafraid to admit small facts. Seeing him yawn, the teen couldn't help but laugh gently. That's so cute she squealed to herself.
I guess he can actually smile, she mused glad not to see the scowl or that sexy smirk on his face. And it's a really nice one she added soon after. She still had a crush on him, even after all the time she spent away from him. But all that she could hope for was that he is single or willing to go behind his girl's back.
Where've you been? You owe me a prank war
"Canada," she whispered shaking her head. "My mother got committed to the asylum after trying to kill herself. My family blames it on me, as always, only because I was the only one in this country with her. And because I wasn't going to stop her," she whispered keeping oddly calm about the whole thing.
Looking down she smiled weakly before looking back toward Shadow. "Sorry, is there a way I can make it up to you?" she asked. Well at least someone misses me

"Why would you need to do that?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at the laugh that followed his yawn. "I'm sleepy," he defended, resting his head against her shoulder. Personality change or what? Closing his eyes again, he smiled gently, "Missed ya'" he teased.
"Canada. My mother got committed to the asylum after trying to kill herself. My family blames it on me, as always, only because I was the only one in this country with her. And because I wasn't going to stop her,"
Nodding, the wild-haired teen sighed softly, "Sorry I asked." Biting his lip in a sudden moment of hope, Shadow spoke quietly, "Don't supose you heard anything about my family? Say anyone died?" Well, if his father had died, wouldn't that be a huge load of his shoulders. He could hope.
"Sorry, is there a way I can make it up to you?"
Smirking as he raised his head, he shrugged, digging his hands into his pocket for a couple of tablets. "Make it up to me however you wish. You know, we never got past a kiss last time," he joked, oblivious to her feelings.
"Because I care about you," she whispered with no hint of a lie nor blush. "And if you're so tired, then just go to sleep," she laughed as she watched Shadow rest his head against her shoulder. What the fuck? she thought to herself as she listened to his teasing words. "I missed you too," she replied with a timid smile. "More than you think," she added muttering under her breath.
"No need to be sorry," she sighed. "It's not your fault." Raising an eyebrow at his questions, she shook her head sadly. "Sorry mate," she whispered. "None that I know of," she added closing her eyes. Though the question was odd, she didn't say anything about it.
Make it up to me however you wish. You know, we never got past a kiss last time
Blushing a deep shade of red, Alexis looked over at Shadow raising an eyebrow. "A-are you wanting to go farther?" she stuttered. This is so unlike me, she told herself as she shook off the blush.

"Thanks," he whispered back, suprise obvious in his expression. "I don't want to go back for a while," he muttered with a shake of his head. Too many people to get into fights with. Plus his one source of hope, seemed to be having second thoughts - let alone actually want to marry him. Smiling he stuck his tongue out at her, "Good."
Sighing sadly, Shadow nodded. It was stupid to get his hopes up. The idea of being away from his father's rule was too great to come true. Fate has other plans I guess.
"A-are you wanting to go farther?"
Raising his eyebrows, the teen pushed Alexis away lightly, "I was joking. Besides, you know that would be stupid after one kiss." Resting his head on his hands, Shad smiled bleakly, "Someday maybe..."
"No problem," she smiled as she listened to his muttered words. "You won't. You have people here that care about you. I'm sure that between Gwen and myself, you will not be leaving without a fight from us," she smirked. "And I'll be damned if you have to go somewhere you don't want to," she said boldly.
Knowing nothing of his past, or his family, Lexi had to do the best to tell him that she was on his side. No matter what. Learning that he was joking, Alex sighed in relief. "Good," she smiled. Someday? she asked raising an eyebrow.
"Shad, can I tell you something personal?" she asked shyly.

Watching her with a smirk, Shadow sighed sadly, pulling himself to his feet as he gazed around the stands. "I'm not too sure if Gwen's interested in me," he muttered, rubbing his eyes with his index finger, light-blue eyeliner wiping off onto his fingers. "Dammit," he frowned glumly.
"And I'll be damned if you have to go somewhere you don't want to,"
Laughign lightly, the teen smiled, "Why are you being so nice to me?" Sure, it was strange for someone to be so understanding with him and not want to run at flight. But he wasn't ungrateful of the fact. Why did I come here? he asked himself, spain, firefox, quidditch stadium. Eveything seemed out of place.
"Shad, can I tell you something personal?"
Nodding as he looked back at her, the serpent grinned, "Yeah, sure, anything."
"Why is that, you're a great guy, any woman would be lucky to have you," she whispered wishing that she could be one of the lucky ones that she referred to. "There is no reason for me to be kind to you, other than I just felt like it," she laughed. "So don't worry that head of yours," she smirked. "If you want me to be an ass toward you, just tell me," she teased.
This is odd how I managed to run into him on this day above all others she thought to herself. Is this the working of some divine being, or is it just luck? The thoughts and words swirled in her head until he broke her train of thought by answering her question.
Yeah sure anything
Rising to her feet and dusting off her low rise jeans and band t-shirt, she placed her hands on the back of the chair sighing. "Shadow what would you say if I told you that I am in love with you?" she asked calmly looking up at the sky.
It's now or never she thought to herself as she prepared to hear his heart shattering words.

Raising his shoulders in a shrug, the teen laughed whole-heartedly in disbelief. "Trust me, it took me long enough to find Gwen. Most girls, I tend to freak out within the first hour of meeting," he sighed gently, holding up the medication for her to see, "I can't cope. She's probably fed up with me, all I do is cheat, lie and decieve her. My anger gets in the way of everything, I doubt she even knows how much I love her."
Smirking, he shook his head, "Nah, please carry on - it's nice to have someone see you as a human being." Although, to be honest, it was usually his own fault that people argued and got fed up with him.
"Shadow what would you say if I told you that I am in love with you?"
Tense as he froze, the teen stood for a few moments in silence, his lips forming a small 'O' shape in his shock. She'd in love with me? IN LOVE with me? His blue gaze trailed down towards the pitch, as if he were weighing up the situation. In reality, he was stunned. How can she love me? We met for what, half and hour before this... Of course, he somehow managed to bring it down to being his fault once more.
"Crap," he breathed, turning his sight back towards her. Alexis. The girl, he'd used to figure out whether or not he loved Gwen. The girl, he'd led on and the girl who'd left without telling anyone. "How long did you know?"
"You didn't freak me out," she smiled kindly. Hearing the rest of his words, Alex's eyes widened in disbelief. "Well dude, if all you do is deceive her, why are you still with her? You say you love her, but is that the truth, or are you just in love with the idea of her?" she asked quietly.
A few more moments of silence passed soon after the question left her lips. Crap she thought to herself as she began panicking. She was about to leave when she heard Shadow ask a question. How long did I know? she repeated to herself.
"How long did I know what?" she asked quietly. "If it's how long I knew I loved you, then that's pretty simple," she whispered looking down at her feet. "Since the moment I saw you. Call me a fool if you wish, but I felt something with you from the first words spoken." Pausing for a second, she smiled weakly. "And that's the gospel truth," she sighed.

"You didn't freak me out... Well dude, if all you do is deceive her, why are you still with her? You say you love her, but is that the truth, or are you just in love with the idea of her?"
Looking down sadly, Shadow closed his eyes, hands gripping the chair infront for support. "I don't know," he muttered, "She was the first person who ever understood me, the only person I've even been fully open with. We moved so quickly into a relationship, I was just sure that it was the right thing to do. To do everything she asked of me without question." As he spoke, a quiet tremble came over his words. His hand crept up to the locket around his neck, feeling himself break down inside.
"How long did I know what? If it's how long I knew I loved you, then that's pretty simple... Since the moment I saw you. Call me a fool if you wish, but I felt something with you from the first words spoken... And that's the gospel truth,"
Opening his eyes as hot tears begun to sting, the teen clenched his hand into a fist around the tabletbottle before he tossed it into the pitch. "I did everything to stay with her," he growled, allowing the tears to flow freely down the sides of his face as he turn back to face Lex.
"How can you love this? A beast that will say he loves you but all the while be lusting after someone else," he asked, anger clear in his tone. He was angry with himself, "The first words I said to you were an insult. An insult to being cheerful. I have no morals, I'm not even human to myself anymore." By this time, the teen had managed to pace himself so that he was once again only inches from her. He sighed softly, running a pale hand through her shorter locks. "You see?" he whispered, meeting his gaze with hers.
Nodding in understanding, she resisted the urge to hug him then and there. So she was the first he let into his little world she thought to herself ashamed of speaking her mind at that moment in time. "I see, " she whispered prepared to listen to anything he was ready to say. The trick was, not yelling back.
I did everything to stay with her
Lowering her head, guilt began to build up within her body. What was I thinking she thought to herself as she held back tears. The tears were not of sorrow, but rather anger. But not toward Shadow, rather herself.
"Look if that's how you are, then so be it. I don't care if you insult me, or hurt me in any way. It's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved them at all, afraid of the end result," she sighed shaking her head. If she can't take it. I will try my hardest to work with him she mused as she felt his hand in her hair.
Nodding at his whispered words, Alex looked up at the taller teen with a calm expression. "I see," she whispered. "However I still stand my ground, but I will say this. You are no beast, just merely misunderstood by the world around you. And if you will let me, I will try my hardest to understand."

Choking back silent tears, the teen gave her a small smile. It was true, he had believed that Gwen was his only hope left in the world. Gradually over time, he had lost everything that was special to him, even the one sister he had sworn never to let go from his sight, had told him she didn't need him. He could feel himself falling into that same abyss that gave grief, pain and misery, and he no longer cared whether he made it out.
"I see... However I still stand my ground, but I will say this. You are no beast, just merely misunderstood by the world around you. And if you will let me, I will try my hardest to understand."
Gazing down at her with lips parted and a frown of quiet confusion, Shadow sighed softly, the cold night air bringing a welcome second of relief to his troubled mind. "Then understand," he murmered, finally brushing his lips past hers in a ghost-like touch, "That I won't be able to stop."
