Keep balance, move with the wind. Left, right, up down. Lean into turn, hug for speed. Drive for center.
These were some of the thoughts going through the Hufflepuff's mind as he flew about the pitch, doing simple manuevers at quick speeds. Back home, his parents had taught him how to fly a broomstick, and his sister got him into Quidditch. Looking around, the Hufflepuff caught an invisible quaffle, zooming around as he avoided invisible players and bludgers, show-boating for an invisible crowd. Center yourself, eyes on the target. Check players, pull back, release. He thought, pulling back and firing off the imaginary ball at the three golden hoops, watching with his minds eye as it went in.
He zoomed back to the ground, moving his hands so he sat upon the broom like you would sit on a bench, grinning happily. "That's right folks! Terra Karsa, best chaser in all the lands, scores again!" The boy named Terra called out, doing a quick lap as though to show off his imaginary crowd how truly awesome the goal was. He then went back to his made-up game, acting as though his team was dominating. Terra 'scored' time and time again, until he grew tired upon his broom, yelling out "The snitch has been caught! Hufflepuff wins!" He smiled, drifting over towards the stands. It was time for a break.
Terra wasn't exactly sure the proper rules for using the stands. He had always assmed that as long as he didn't break anything, he'd be allowed up there. So, instead of heading back to the Hufflepuff locker room, he smoothly glided over to the respective stands, hopping off of the broom as it hovered above the front row. Terra pulled on the broom, making sure the enchantment that caused them to fly stopped working, letting out a happy sigh as he leaned back. That spiky red hair moved in the wind, while golden-brown eyes simply observed all that went on below.
"Hmm?" Terra thought he had spotted someone, down far below on the field. Someone else deciding to practice? He leaned forward, poking his head out over the railing meant to keep the excited fans from falling. "Oi! Who's that down there?" He called out, tilting his head to the side. Company was always good, especially when you didn't have many friends. Especially when it was your third year at the school...
