No matter how many brave deeds the Headmaster accomplished, he was still in hiding. There was no way he could reveal himself to anyone - not Kat, and especially not Anil. Senora Birchheel and the Lord Solomon too were on his avoid list. Not until the time was right...sadly, that time was coming sooner than he wanted. Now, however, something gravely important was in his hands.
Following the events of the forest in which half the trees were incinerated and Fenrir's trust in the school was obliterated, Talon felt extremely dejected. Half those trees had been tended to by him - at least before the Angelus Morti had placed that demonic shepard in that forest. Worst of all, Fenrir had been his major ally for the war that was who knows how close. Soon, Scorpius's movement would reach his door, and half the students would be dead from inexperience.
But all of these things were professional troubles, troubles that only bothered the Headmaster on the level that he was the Headmaster. But something had happened in that wood that touched him personally, something that put a shadow over his eyes.
A Dragon had come to FFU. Some sort of stone abomination, the lithic reptile stood behind him next to its mistress, Talon's own trusted Rezna Lardale. Over time he had become extremely fond of the girl, in a way that he could hardly understand, and tried his best to keep to himself. Dragons, however, of any sorts, were not to be tolerated by the Headmaster. As far as he knew, which wasn't much, one had killed both his beloved parents.
"You have a lot of explaining to do, Miss Lardale," Talon said in a stern voice, "Explaining that I wish I didn't have to hear." His sapphire eyes turned to face the similarly colored wyrm, and looked down at it with a strict expression. "First of all - what is this, what is it doing here, and why have I not been informed of its existence?"
