Now there wasn't a gigantic, talking venus flytrap in these place, but there were all forms of interesting plants. And after hours, it was very easy to sneak into the Greenhouses as they weren't locked or looked after. Opening the door with barely a sound, a tall figure snuck into the greenhouse and closed the door after himself before advancing down the path. There was something that he was after, a little bit of experimentation that he needed to accomplish, and then he'd put his plan into motion. After all, if there was anything that this being was known for it was his schemes.
And Tiberius Spurius wasn't one to disappoint. He had been incrediably bored recently, upset that his plan to pit vampire against lycan hadn't worked as he wanted to, and had been nicking old magizines out of the local's dumpsters. His favorites include National Geographic, Discovery, and Maxim and while purusing through an addition of National Geographic he found an interesting article. Do Plants have Intelligence? This was the title and the results had intrigued Tiberius to the point that he wanted to test them out personally.
He'd read about how they bend over time into positions to better absorb light, how they might shy away or at least appear to if endangered by the same means twice, and the last but most interesting being a collective intelligence. Now this was the most farfetched idea he had ever seen put forward: plants didn't even have neurons so how could they possible communicate to each other. Then he started pondering the impossible, and an answer came to him. They might not be able to communicate at their present, evolutionary state, but the way their root systems were designed allowed for the potential base of a nervous system. All Tiberius had to do was to find the plant with the most complex root system, add some science into the mix, and then naturally force a wizard to use some magic on it and presto: intelligent plants.
And how'd ever suspect such a thing? He could have eyes and ears everywhere, which meant that nothing would ever go under his nose again. Smiling to himself, the tall Nephilim strode down the aisle and occasionally paused to take a closer look at promising specimens. Oh the cogs in his mind were turning and he'd surprise the world once more with his unpredictable genius.DERP!
