Name: Nathan David Prince, a.k.a. Romulus, the Prince of Vampires
Age: 14, eternally
Height: 5'8" - 1.524 m
Weight: 142 lbs - 64.5 kg
Birthday: August 11th
Hair: Very dark brown, almost black
Eyes: Silver
Birthplace: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Dress: Romulus usually only wears one set of clothes at a time. His clothes are always valued for practicality over style, and always black. This is for a number of reasons - he prefers darker colors, for one, and for two it allows for him to blend into the night better. At present, his standard uniform is a wizard's dark robe, just a bit too big for him, which used to be his relaxation outfit but now helps him blend in with the people of Drakborough.
Description of Home: The Castille del Nosferatu has stood in the forests of Spain near Drakborough for centuries. It may have, long ago, been the residence of mortals, but its longest denizens were always among the undead. The Nosferatu, under Vlad Dracula, made it their major place of operations and home during the Third Vampire War. Tiberius Spurius, a Nephilim, slaughtered them and forced Dracula to flee shortly after the War's end, preventing the Nosferatu from ever rising up against their cousins and also making the Castle his own residence. He dwelled there until he was chased from it by Romulus himself, who has since reclaimed it as the residence of himself, his daughters, and his followers.
The Castille possesses ten floors, not counting the basement, and Romulus claims a room on the third as his own chamber. There are officially no windows, due to it not being very practical for vampires to have windows in their house, but in some writers' interpretations there is one or many. It is widely confirmed that there is a chandelier in the foyer of the Castille. Despite claiming a room on the third floor as his personal room, he sleeps in a coffin in the basement vault for protection.
Dominant Character Trait: Control - Romulus often plays at being extremely stoic. His most deadly weapon is his own intellect and savvy towards people's reactions and expectations. This is because he feels that, as he is dead, his emotions have died along with him and thus actions that would lead others to make poor decisions create no such negative reaction in him. He tries to view people he encounters as nothing more than tools to be used in their own way. It is rare indeed that Romulus meets someone who he honestly believes can provide no purpose in assisting him.
Secondary Character Trait (contrast with Dominant): Passion - despite his own belief in his emotions being dead, on the rare occasion where Romulus's dead heart is stirred he can become terribly passionate. This is often in the form of a wild fit of unbridled wrath, resulting from his daughters being in danger or from the touch of fire or silver. It would take a skilled and truly dedicated lover to stir the Prince's passion towards desire for them, but they would have to be very careful lest such an attempt prove fatal.
Best Friend: Orca a.k.a. Tyson Call, his most treasured servant
Friends: Israfel - his former partner
Solus Memoriter - former partner and lover
Jack the Ripper - Nosferatu follower
Sceleris a.k.a. Christoph Fermingio - Nosferatu follower
Roger Gillespie - Nosferatu follower
Silmeria Valkyrie - his Servant
Willow Tylers - Lycan, briefly involved
Enemies (and why): Azrael Jeremiah, former master - equally as cunning as the Prince, the wizard who was Romulus's former master seeks to destroy him as punishment for abandoning him, and Romulus seeks to destroy him for using him and very nearly bringing about his end.
Tiberius Spurius, Nephilim - the tyrant of the Castille for centuries, the Nephilim was the murderer of the Nosferatu who first dwelled in Romulus's residence. He has used Romulus as a puppet and compromised the Prince's dignity for his own amusement. Romulus despises Tiberius above all others.
Roan Aliagh, Lycan - Romulus's former lover, though not by choice, is a firebrand in the most literal sense. The wolf-blooded woman sees Romulus as the cause of their mutual manipulation at the hand of Tiberius Spurius, and Romulus views Roan as a nuisance to be at best avoided and at worst destroyed.
Family:
Mortals:
Father: Timothy Prince (deceased) - a late middle aged man who dedicated his life to work instead of love, he married a young heiress and produced two children for the sake of having children. Murdered by his own son nearly a year after he'd written him off as dead, and he was right.
Mother: Eileen Prince (deceased) - a young and beautiful heiress who married a wealthy man for the money and attention, she produced two children for the sake of having children. Murdered by her own son nearly a year after she'd written him off as dead, and she was right.
Sister: Helen Prince (deceased) - the second child of a wealthy middle aged man and his pretty young wife for the sake of having children, she was only a baby when she was suffocated in her sleep beneath a pillow by the brother who loved her nearly a year after he'd disappeared from her life.
Immortals:
Sire: Tsukino Yoruko (deceased) - a vampire whose origins lay shrouded in mystery sometime in the Meiji era of Japan, she sought vengeance for her sire against the vampire who left him out for the sun. Left out for the sun herself by her own progeny after finally having vengeance on her sire's killer, who was Nathan's mentor.
Progeny: Ellesa Pierce - a sixteen year old witch, stolen away from the lakeside by the light of the moon by Romulus. The reason he gave for embracing her as a vampire was that he 'needed her.'
Mildred Bagley-Aldaine - a thirteen year old witch, stolen away from the depths of the forest by Romulus. The reason he gave for embracing her as a vampire was that she 'needed him.'
Swift bloodline: Anthony Swift - an older vampire than Romulus who restored him to his senses with a taste of his blood after an arcane magical experiment resulted in a mutation. Anthony Swift considered Romulus his own progeny, though the Prince views the mysterious vampire as being more like a 'blood brother.' Anthony has since vanished, but Romulus has cared for the bloodline he left in his wake as repayment for his help.
Thomas Lucre - Anthony's progeny and Romulus's adopted son. Romulus has very little respect for the fledgling, though he shelters him with his protection all the same.
Victoria Raine Azzurro - Thomas's progeny, who foolishly received the dark gift as a romantic way of staying with her teenage boyfriend 'forever.' Her following descent into madness from innocent sweetheart to dangerous and unhinged predator has won her the respect and love of the Prince, who holds her highest among his followers and family save for his daughters.
Sense of humor: The only person Romulus ever attempts to humor is himself. His very dark humor is therefore very subtle. If listeners are confused or simply ignorant to it, it's only more amusing for him.
Temper: He tries to remain cool and dignified, as befitting an authority figure, but can fly into a terrible rage when he feels he or his daughters are threatened. This is extremely difficult to assuage until those threatening are destroyed or disarmed.
Ambitions: To one day spread his hegemony as Prince of the Damned to all corners of the globe. It could be argued that his decision to sire two daughters was a reflection of the widely believed progenitor of the vampires, Rags, and he plans to rival or outright supplant him as an immortal Unmoved Mover.
Educational background: Attended an acclaimed private school in his childhood years, educated himself from his embrace onward.
Work experience: Has never held a job other than being Prince of Vampires.
Philosophy of life: The rules of society exist to chain people into the status quo. The dynamic are considered evil, the stagnant are rewarded. The status quo is determined by the winners. Therefore, if you plan to exist dynamically, be sure to always win.
Talents: Public speaking, acting and disguise, and karate.
Hobbies/past times: Likes to seduce his food. Enjoys playing with people's emotions. Nobody is entirely sure what the vampires do apart from hunt, though it's rumored that they occasionally set aside a night for board games. Chutes and Ladders is Romulus's favorite, though he'll never admit it (though his enthusiasm to play it often gives it away.)
Choice of entertainments: An innocent girl to break, a young boy's life to ruin,
What trait will make character come alive?: Nothing, he's dead.
Why is character likable?: He gets what he wants. If he wants you to like him, you will like him.
Why is character lovable?: See above.
Occupation: Prince of the Damned
Marital Status: Single
Favorite Pig Out Food: Blood
Favorite Performer/Author/Sportsman: Laurence Olivier.
Every New Year's I resolve to: rule the world? I don't think he even counts the years anymore.
Nobody knows I am:
I wish I could stop: being a vampire. Yeah, Romulus doesn't actually like his situation. He'd like to be alive again. He just knows that's not going to happen. He got over that a long time ago.
I'm a sucker for: blood.
The worst part of my life is: that it's over.
I want to teach my children that: always think things through before you do anything. Your one life to live is over, and the rest of your eternity depends on how little you lose. So if you're going to do anything, make sure you always win.
A good time for me is: breaking an innocent girl, ruining a young boy's life,
I thought I was grown up when: Romulus killed his sire. It was then that he dropped the name 'Nathan Prince' and took the name Romulus. After that moment, he was never able to rely on anyone again. It was always himself.
When I feel sorry for myself I: sit in a chair and brood, wearing an unamused expression until I feel better.
My friends like me because: they have no choice. That, or they believe that I am charming.
My pet peeve is: conflicting loyalties.
My major accomplishment: proclaiming myself Prince of the Damned.
I can die happy when: I've already died. It wasn't very happy. I will be happy if there's never a 'next time.'
I'd really rather: do a lot of things I can't do anymore.
My most humbling experience was: tied between getting a building dropped on me or having Tiberius castrate me.
