Roger Galen Gillespie
Sanity calms, but madness is more interesting.
He may be mad, but there's method in his madness. There nearly always is method in madness. It's what drives men mad, being methodical.

Brief Life Story
Roger was the offspring of a squib, Rose Gillespie, and some unknown wizard. His mother lived the very fulfilling life of a hooker, as she was turned out of her home once her parents determined she was not magical. She lived on the fringes of wizarding society, finding what little work there was for someone who could not use magic. She used her body to make the ends meet, but she only slept with wizards.
When Roger was born, she gave him up for adoption immediately, not wanting to be saddled with a child. He was passed from one muggle foster home to the next, and no one could tell him what was wrong with him. No one could tell him why he could do the things he did, and eventually, when he was ten, he scared one foster family so badly, they had him put in a mental institution.
He spent six months there, before he used the powers he was slowly beging to understand to get out. He lived on his own, renting a room in the Leaky Cauldron, and payed his rent by washing dishes, and cleaning rooms until he got his letter to Hogwarts. He finished all seven years not quite at the top of his class, and decided to become an Auror.
He went through most of his Auror training without incident, until one night, when he was assigned to be shepherded by a regular Auror on what was thought to be a routine call. One spell or another misfired, or hit him, he really can't remember, but the next thing he knew, it was three months later and he was in St. Mungo's. Ever since then, he's had these episodes for lack of a better term.
The Ministry decided he couldn't be an Auror, and penniless and alone, he joined the Shadows. When they were stopped in Spain, he hid, but not well enough. The newly minted Ministry caught him while he was having an episode in their round up of Ex-Shadows.
After being sprung from jail, the Gillespie personality had almost completely taken over, but Roger held on to enough control to plan his suicide. He purchased two blood pops and went out into the woods where he knew there were populations of both werewolves and vampires. He hoped the smell of blood would attract the creatures and they would destroy him. However, the Nosferatu that found him changed him instead of letting him die. Currently, the two personalities have come to an understanding and are working together, although toward what goal is uncertain.DERP!
