Years had passed,
So it seemed,
Since the war,
Which now seems dreamed.
And enter now,
An old young face,
In the tunnel,
In time and place...
It was mid-day in Triangle Tunnel, the place filled to the brim with shoppers. Though, the very middle, the place where Scorpius had once announced himself, was empty...
But not for much longer. In a crack, 15 robed wizards appeared in a cirle, seeming to sorround someone who could not be seen behind the honor guard. Then came a loud shout, amplified by a simple charm, from the center of the circle.
"I advise you all, all of you out there in the tunnel, to leave. This is about to get... dangerous."
The voice, very feminine in nature, then giggled. People had all turned to look at the circle, dumbfounded. Being mere humans, they did not leave and some didnt stop shopping. Most watched, though.
Inside the circle, Giada, former commander of armies in the service of the Society, and former wife of the Dark Lord Unknown, held the limp figure of a seventeen year old boy few would recognize as Novus. He spent a short ammount of time in Triangle tunnel before disappearing. He had returned, though not in the best condition...
Giada laid the boy on the floor of the tunnel, not too kindly. She rummaged through a pouch slung over her shoulder and pulled out two vials, a pouch, and what seemed to be a lantern. She opened the pouch and began.
"A sprinkle of body..."
Out she poured a sprinkle of dirt, which began to glow, next to Novus.
"A drop of mind..."
She uncorked a vial and poured a drop of faintly glowing water onto the pile of dirt.
"A gust of soul..."
She uncorked the next vial and out came a very small tornado, glowing brightly, which sweeped up the other materials and began to spin them around. The people in the tunnel stood, watching, dumbfoundedly.
"And last of all... The extract of fire... The Flame of Life."
The lantern in her hand began to glow, and erupted in flames. The fire did not hurt her, but began to be taken in by the tornado. They came together and created a tiny spinning funnel of fire.
She backed away from it, for it was growing slowly but surely. It did not yet threaten Novus, who was breathing faintly, but heated up the area. A bystander saw glimpses of flame and began to scream, causing a general panic.
Giada giggled at the panic, and reached into her pouch. She pulled out a glowing black crystal...
"Bone of the father, unwillingly given..."
She tossed the shard of chaos into the tornado, whcih grew in size.
She then removed a knife from her pouch and in one movement hacked off one of her fingers, her ring finger on her left hand. She tossed it into the swirling fire.
"Flesh of the servant, willingly sacrificed..."
Then she removed a last vial from her pouch, filled with what seemed to be light. She uncorked it and poured a liquid light into the flames.
"Blood of the enemy, forcibly taken!"
Novus began to twitch and shake violently, flailing around, yet never coming in contact with the swirling flames which were now the size of Giada. He stopped in his convulsions, and out of his mouth, in a spray of blood, came a thin ribbon of shadow... It joined the fire...
The ground began to shake.
