Shadow supressed a moan as she fingered his hair. Now unfortunatly, was not the time for him to feel like this. Later... he angered himself. "I'm sorry i don't know many people...." he sighed. So many Malfoys in the school, most of them turned good.
"Nor do I just four people you included," she sighed as she placed her hand back into the pocket of her cloak. "Shadow-kun what have I told you about being sorry for crap that isn't your fault," she whispered softly to him.
In the seventeen years of his life, not once could Muryllis manage an explanation for his nocturnal habits. During his studies in Rome (so many long years ago, it seemed), he was always to first to volunteer for the flying night patrols across the city; with his thoughts consumed by pressing issues, dusk the most promising source of enlightenment. Nowadays, with the War long over and his differences with Syrus settled, the man had little to worry about - tonight's stroll was one of leisure.
Perhaps that was one of the reasons for his accepting his old 'occupation'; even its name implied that which he embraced. His old robes (both the ceremonial and those given by Unknown) were still locked deep in an old trunk for safe keeping, and the badge... but what of the badge?
Muryllis smiled.
Turning a corner, he glanced around and, sure he was alone, tapped his old Ravenclaw House badge with a finger - one adorned by a plain metal ring. The blue and black faded to purple and green.. the House eagle morphed into the distinct form of a black scorpion. The emblem of the Society of Shadows, with the subtle alterations of a Redeemer under Syrus. Aah, the memories.

Shadow grinned stopping himself from repling with the apology. He kissed her cheek gently and stroked her hair. Lifting his head he drew his wand again, pulling the hood back over his head. He placed a finger over Gwen's mouth to silence her. Gazing along the path, his eyes lingered on the slight movements at the end of the trail. He stood stark still, not moving once-just watching, waiting.
Huh Gwen thought as she drew her wand and took Shadows finger off her lips. "I'm going to check it out," she mouthed to the Slytherin male. Pulling the hood over her head again she quietly walked down the street making sure to keep well hiden and her wand out of sight.
Who or what is that she asked herself as she got a close, but safe distance to the figure. "Who is that wizard?" she asked herself under her breath.

Shadow gawped slightly as she wondered off, jumping slightly as he came back to reality. He followed her, a little further behind-walking as silently as he could. We can't have been rooted out already, could we? he chimed to himself. Being good at transfiguration and black flames wouldnt be that helpful if the creature knew more magic.
Her attempt at stealth was an altogether laudable one - however, the ex-Redeemer's training in Weaving to the point of second nature was, quite honestly, no match for the 'games' of a rebel. The Thread eminating from Gwen's location was a dead giveaway, and so Muryllis reverted his badge back to its Ravenclaw image before enchanting himself with his trademark charm - silence. A wand appeared in his hand (and the observant would see that the old ring was no longer there), and he hugged a wall, embracing the shadow as a Shadow would.
He had no reason (save, possibly, for romantic heroism) to call out something cliche ('Who's there??'); the implied skill of his unseen opponent suggested she lacked the stupidity to require such a tasteless opener. But... what the hell?
"Show yourself." The tone was simple, yet commanding; it was unlikely Muryllis would have anything to fear at this point in time.
"Why should I," Gwen asked in a taunting voice. Her ruby eyes held a dangerous glint in them. She kept herself hidden in the shadows even though she knew that this wizard had saw her. This isn't good she thought to herself as she hid her wand in her sleeve.
"How am I sure that you will not attempt to harm us," she asked in an icy tone. She wasn't going to show any fear towrd this man. In her opinion she had no reason to, well unless he happened to over hear her and Shadow's conversation.

Crap Shadow snarled quietly at the voice. He was fully prepared to put himself before Gwen, if need be. Whatever the wizard was, maybe he could help them? Or ruin their plans.... Pulling the hood low, his blue eyes glared around. He remained silent.
This seemed to be turning into a textbook shootout conversation; his opponent persisted - two opponents, it seemed.. but no matter - and so Muryllis returned the favor.
"If I had wanted to hurt you, which I soon might, this entire block would already be as level and smooth as a freshly-laid hardwood floor. Get the hell out into the light."
A lamp flickered into life, flooding a portion of the street corner with a pale, yellow light. The two combatants were no more than twenty feet from the edge.

Shadow snarled quietly, against all his instinct-following her lead and stepping silently into the dim light. what the hell is this thing? Dropping his head to stare at the floor, he shoved his hands into the pockets of the robe. Everything was going wrong, so wrong.
Looking down it seemed that she didn't have much choice. She quickly came up with a list of curses and hexes to be used just incase this turned out to be a duel. ANd let's the gods save my soul she thought to herself as she stepped out of the shaodows still keeping her hood up. "Ok I'm out, happy?" she asked coldly. "You could lower your wand," she spoke in a clear voice.
She stood there silently as she waited for what was to come next. There was no way in hell that she was lowering her hood anytime soon, until she was sure that is was safe to reveal herself.

It was not that the people of the Triangle Tunnel didn't pay heed to the Dark Mark that had briefly filled the sky, if not for more than a few seconds, but it was utterly the opposite. Shrill screams arose from the vocal chords of those that witnessed the horrid snake gliding out of the skull's mouth, and the brave hearts of wizards sunk in their chest as they realized what plagued them this night. All in all an impressive display of magic, but sadly there were those hired on the premise that such voodoo didn't make them lose their nerve at the drop of a hat. Such persons resided in the Interim Ministry of Magic, and one such person was the Head Auror himself.
Forbes had seen the Dark Mark when he was standing on a balconey for a breath of fresh air, and immediately his instincts kicked into gear. The Auror department itself was in a tizzy of action and aurors were running helter skelter with new news from the Tunnel. Walking over to a desk in the Command Nexus, the dark-haired man angrily slammed his right fist on the table top in a gesture that demanded silence. "Look people: I don't want to see you running around like hens when a fox breaks into the clutch. It maybe the bloody Dark Mark, but this is what is in our job description. Santas, I want you to find Mustang and the others. I don't care how you do it, but I want them her faster than the crow flies. Jurgen, I want you to seal off the Tunnel completely until we find the person or persons responsible for this act of terrorism. Longsworth, I need you to personal deliver a message to Julius Plutus."
"Tell him of our current situation and that he had best inform the Wizengot, and hurry down here to take full command. And as for myself" Julian paused for a moment as he pulled his sword from it's sheath and twirled his wand in his other hand. The man with the goatee and outrageous Elizabethean garb smiled at the assembled Aurors in an almost Puck-ish grin. "I'm off to play the role of host and am set on properly inviting these guests into our luxurious accomendations: the Dungeons," said the Maltan Auror as he turned on his heel and headed out of the Ministry building, flanked by four other Aurors, in search of those that sparked this heinous crime against the people of Triangle Tunnel."
"They would soon understand their folly in rising against the likes of the Law."
