Just outside the rough and tumble headquarters for the Iberian Ministry, Shadonious Clearwater stumbled to the ground - groaning as he was thrown from the premises. Augh, thanks man, he mused angrily, glaring as the doors were slammed shut behind him.
Gathering himself together, he stood up, dusting himself off and cursing at the building behind him. He was glad to be out, but he didn't take to kindly to their goodbye wish. Shadow sighed, checking his wand was in his pocket and striding a few paces down the tunnel.
Running a pale hand through his hair, the serpent teen slumped against a wall - closing his eyes in frustration and clutching subconciously for the chain areound his neck, hidden beneath his robes.
Malachy had heard a lot the last few days. He had read news articles About the Dark Mark being conjured above the tunnel. And through rumors going around the school, found that it was planned by a rebellious Student group from his own school, and that his cousins, Gwen and Shadonius, had been co-conspirators, and that in fact it was Gwen that conjured the cursed mark. He had come to get some more accurate answers.
He thought back on the mark, and felt a chill run down his back. His Great-Grandfather had been connected with that mark. He had served it's creator, and had eventually seen exactly how wrong his choice had been. Regulus was one of the smart ones, he had acted against the Dark Lord, stealing the Horcruxed locket and replacing it with his own. the boy who lived saw to the true locket's destruction eventually, but what of the decoy? That was something Malachy always wondered.
He pushed the memories aside and continued on his way. As he reached the jail house, he noticed someone sitting off to the side. It was Shadow, and what as his Malfoy descended cousin doing? Shadow hadn't noticed his appearance onto the scene yet, and was fiddling with something hidden under his robes. Malachy waited and watched, curiously

Pulling at the chain, Shadow grasped the locket and removed it from under his robes. In the dim light he could vaguely see the small initials 'S.C-M' carved into the silver. The locket was not a gift he was proud of, infact he hated the very thing. But, try as he could, he could not get rid of it. He knew not to in anycase, for he feared the contents most. All those dark memories, of pain and of scars, strung around his neck to forever haunt him... No one was ever to see what lay within.
Small, angry tears began to trickle down the Rebel's cheeks as he closed his fist around it.
Hearing the sound of a quiet footfall, the teen looked up hastily - quickly re-hiding the chain and attempting to disquise the tearstains on his face. Malachy. Shadow instinctivly grasped for his wand, standing cautiously. But what was the point? Hadn't Malachy won his wand? It would be useless against its master. Never-the-less, he didn't loosen his grip but growled instead.
Malachy was some what surprised at what he saw. It was a locket, could it be? Rationally it could. Regulus Black's branch of the family had been hidden from the time Regulus went into hiding, to the time of Potter's final victory over the Dark Lord. The Malfoys where the only branch of his family that was known to the boy who lived. And if it was given back to the blacks who else would have received it. But that don't change anything the Locket, as precious to wizardng history as it was, right fully belonged to Malachy's family.
Malachy pulled himself together, and decided not to ask about the locket yet. Malachy wanted to find out on his own and from the the show of emotion it would be better to take the locket under cover of night then to try now.So he responded. "Well I was coming to get answers. I heard that you and Gwen where part of the rebellion, that conjured the mark. Being Regulus Blacks Great-Grandson. I feel I deserve the truth about the incident." He said. "I guess I could ask you but it seems your in the middle of an emotional break through, I should probably ask someone with a better head on their shoulders." He said smartly.

Shadow growled, letting his grasp faulter over his wand. It wasn't helping that his new rival had seen his shed of tears. But, he wouldn't allow that to be a disadvantage. He wouldn't lose to Malachy again. yet, he would stall for as long as he could - after all, he was (at this time) an emotional wreak, with a busted wand. "You have no right speaking to me like that, you know nothing about what I've been through," he retorted, trying to stop his voice wavering on the verge of waterworks.
"You want the truth. I will not lie, even to one I loathe so much. You only have to ask," he sighed quietly, taking his gaze away from the boy to stare at the ground.
Shadow as Malachy's rival and probably would be till the end, but that didn't make Malachy completely heartless towards his fellow Slytherin. "You're right, I don't know what you've gone through. But I still want to understand why the Snake-Tongued Skull where seen hovering over this town. I would have thought the Blacks had learned from the actions of Regulus that His group had the completely wrong idea. So explain to me what happened and tell me why." He said Trying his best to not sound offensive.

"I would not blame me for such an action, it was your cousin that performed the spell - not me," Shadow snarled softly, turning his attention back to Malachy. He approached his fellow slytherin, so there was little distance inbetween them. He could not talk loud outside the ministry building. "We believe this world was better before his fall. That the world is nothing without the thrill of fear running through every single persons blood. That is why the mark was replaced in the sky. To reintroduce his presence to the people. The rise of something big," he whispered with a dark smirk upon his features. "And, I am no Black."
"And you should be careful who your cousins are working with, if what I was told is true."
Malachy stood there listening carefully. As he did he could feel rage pulse through his veins like venom. Malachy's eyes narrow into a fierce glare. The Dark Lord, nor any one trying to emulate him, would ever rise again. What Shadow said was confirming many of Malachy's fears, and was giving him reason for action. He let shadow finish, and by the time he had, his fist wass clenched tight around his wand, his knuckle white with the pressure between the handle of his want and his fingers.
Malachy pushed down the dangerous fury that threatened to take control of his wand arm. "The Dark Lord was a fool!" He said loudly. He didn't care where he was he was venting his anger. "And no one has a right to bring his messages of hate back. Not only are you not a Black, you're not even human if you support his philosophy. You should be careful about which forces you decide to side with. There are some forces that will split family bonds, to allow one to wipe clean reasons not to wipe out ones own kin." Malachy stopped for a moment, he knewif he continued his rage would fuel the fires of rage even more.

"The Dark Lord was a fool!...And no one has a right to bring his messages of hate back. Not only are you not a Black, you're not even human if you support his philosophy. You should be careful about which forces you decide to side with. There are some forces that will split family bonds, to allow one to wipe clean reasons not to wipe out ones own kin."
Shadow froze. Malachy's sudden outburst could easily get him thrown back into the cells - if someone realised he was still plotting. "Shut your trap," he hissed, blue eyes watching those that were glaring back at him. "Inhuman am I? For supporting a power so great? Our familes may have moved on, as have the rest of the world, but remember from where they came. Two families had a heritage with his Lordships power, and they were fools to every betray him - before and after his fall... I am but following our tradition, as is Gwen, and keeping the honor alive. Again, I am not a Black! I am a Malfoy, and wished nothing of you."
Shadow's dark gaze trailed down to Malachy's fist, where it was grasing tight over the wand. He hesitated, knowing that hs probation rule was to not break the Underaged Magic rule. He would be sent right back in there if he even attempted to use magic outside the grounds of Firefox. But his rival could. And his wand belonged to Malachy anyway, so what could he do?
Lifting his worried gaze, he stared at the oposing teen for a moment before taking a small step back. "You won't do well to counter the Rebellion, if you already have traitors within your group ranks," he smirked, keeping an eye on the wand.
Malachy shook his head, "Not all traditions are worth following." He said with a forced calm in his voice. "If Gwen really does believe this way, she is a fool as well." Malachy resolved to see Shadow as no more than a lost cause. He wouldn't blatantly attack Shadow in front of the court house. That was one head ache he wanted to avoid. He would seek retribution the Slytherin way.
Then he nodded. "A Malfoy? I would think they had learned their lesson. it was You-Know-Who that nearly wiped out your bloodline. If I where you I would have chosen to avoid that path." He noted more quietly. The ministry obviously hadn't done it's job the first time, why should he trust them to succeed the second time. Malachy would reap punishment how he was fit if the wizarding court system couldn't do it themselves. "I believe I got all the answers I need. I'll see you in school." He said as he turned to leave.

Snarling loudly, Shadow restrained himself from lashing out at Malachy. Insulting him, Shadow could take with no required actions, but insulting Gwen? It pained him much more to hear someone speak her name in a less than desirable way, than to hear his own in that said tone. "Don't you dare speak about her like that!"
Shadow sighed, dropping his head at the words. Malachy was right about his bloodline. And as much as Shadow had adored his grandfather Scorpious, he knew that Draco had been the last previous Malfoy to follow the Dark Lord. And, he had too, like Regulus, become afraid and changed paths. Still, Shadow cared more about the past than the future - his own family tradition.
Looking up again as the teen turned around, the Slytherin shrugged watching the other leave. "Don't count on it," he muttered, not wanting anything more than to rid the school of Malachy's smug grin. He'd defeat him one day, soon.
Malachy could tell he had struck a nerve, and exposed a weakness in Shadow. Malachy would have to exploit the weakness on a later date. "Well if you don't see me you'll at least hear me through other students. I bet the Gryffindors would adore hearing about your relation ship with your cousin, or maybe the Hufflepuffs, they are so much better at getting the word out." He said with a smirk. Malachy had a wonderful weapon now. "And their is always the common room." He added. as he began walking away.

Shadow clenched his fists. Yes, he was madly in love with his cousin, but there were few people that knew they were cousins. Hell, Shadow was unsure as to whether Gwen even knew. It would be disaster if everyone knew, possibly they would be forced to part. "You wouldn't dare," he stuttered quietly. He didn't know about Ruusu and Malachy's relationship, he couldn't use the lionXserpent against him. He had nothing until they were on university grounds and he could freely use magic.
Besides, Malachy couldn't know about the other night could he?
Malachy's sly, Slytherin grin never faded. "Oh, no I won't say anything right away, there is far to much i stand to gain from hanging the fact that I can tell people over your head. Don't think of it as an empty threat, you of all people know how easy it is for a Slytherin's tongue, as slick as it is, can slip at the worst possible time." Oh this was fun. Malachy had never had any reason to be sadistic, and found that he liked it. May be there was pleasure to be found in the suffering of others. Especially when the one suffering is on the wrong side, and blatantly speaking against him.
"Oh and before you try going wand to wand with me, I suggest you see Ollivander first, see if he can't find a wand that will accept you now that you don't exactly have one of your own." He said with a mocking tone.

Shadow's expression became one of horror as his new found emotions broke down within him. He was still shaking slightly from the tears that fell once more. "What do you want me to do? You don't know what it feels like to be torn from someone you love... I didn't know we were related until you came along. What do you want me to do..." he stammered, shaking his head.
He hated to seem weak infront of someone he hated so, but he could not hold back. What was there to be strong for anyway. Any move he could make would start a duel, and exactly that would get him back in the cold with the raepist Father. Besides, he was hoping Selene would find him a wand. He didn't have the money to buy one. "Why must we fight - with wands?"
