There is a common misconception among the wizarding population in general that being a Ravenclaw means you must own every last book in existance, and read them all regularly. For the most part, the spirit of that assumption is true, even if it isn't literally so. The Ravenclaw Commons in Firefox University, for intance, has a great many books lying about, arranged on bookcases, piled on tables, some flung on chairs, or the floor, but by no means is there every book ever written, nor do all of them belong to the Ravenclaws. If the rest of the Ravies were anything like their prefect, they found much of their reading material in libraries, or borrowed from friends and relatives.
However, there were some things you had to go out and buy for yourself, to be spared the strain of remembering to return them. And occasionally, there were ones you did not wish to return. This is where bookstores come in quite handy. There was a new one in Triangle Tunnel, and it called to the Ravenclaw Prefect. So, she heeded the call, and got permission to journey to the Tunnel, and check out the bookstore. she was a little peeved at the security measures. Did they really think a fifteen-year-old witch with no practical experience with magic could be so dangerous?
She huffily allowed them to examine her wand and her bag, and when they found nothing, she gave them an, 'I told you so' look. Her prefects badged gleamed proudly from where it was pinned on her bag. She had saved up a fair amount of allowance for this trip, since she knew that once she was inside the bookstore, there was no such thing as self-control anymore. Especially since she knew they sold muggle books, and those were something of a passion of hers. She found the shop easily enough, and entered.
Her amber eyes grew to the size of saucers, and her face wore a pleased look. She hadn't been inside a decent bookstore in ages. She remebered the first item on her list, and manage to rein herself in enough to say,"Excuse me, but do you carry O.W.L. study guides?" She hadn't seen anyone working here, but her attention was rather distracted right now, surrounded as she was by books.
