ooc: herp this only took how long? Sorry, been an insane few days.
bic:
Now and then he would space, and not remember why he was here. Healing. Mechanics. Right? Gabriel had to continually remind himself. He was tired, and the labels read a little blurry. Probably an off effect of either trying to kill himself, or regaining his body from Victoria's mind warp. Eck. How long was this going to go on? Frankly, he was sick of it. He wanted to get outside, after dark, and not have to worry about being eaten.
But that would never happen, would it? There would always be that worry, that itching voice in the back of his skull telling him to run like hell.
Ah, well. When had he ever listened to that?
A turtle pressed its face to the glass of its tank, staring at him with bulging eyes. Gabriel stared back, perplexed. Why would they have a common turtle down here? At least, there didn't seem to be anything -
The second head twisted around to see what the other was staring at, over the back of the shell. Gabriel turned away. Somehow it seemed less interesting than it had while still normal. Maybe that was what bothered him about this place. He sighed and took a few steps across the room, letting his fingers drag along the counter. This room reminded him of an old muggle science room he'd been in. Gods, how long since he'd even looked at Biology?
How long since he'd been to class?
As most things seemed to do, he led to thinking about the past. He didn't want to think about the future, or even the present. Just when he thought he'd cleaned up his life, gotten something straight, god damned vampires popped up to rip his throat out.
Wasn't it always something?
Chuckling quietly, Gabriel walked around the room, opening cabinets and just searching. He didn't know what to look for - that was what the book on the table was for, not like he was using it - but surely he'd know, right? The right ingredient would just fall out on the counter and cure him forever.
A spider fell off the door and mad a made dash for his fingers. Gabriel picked up a text book and smashed it, half expecting it to multiple, but it remained dead. At least, he supposed it was dead - he didn't pick the book back up. It could be a nice surprise for some poor student.
With some reluctance, Gabriel retrieved the book he had found in the library and flipped to the pages he had bookmarked. Blood cleansing potions, rapid healing, that sort of thing.
Because Gabriel was obviously good at potions.
