Silvain stumbled around the school aimlessly on his free time until he found the library. And we all know what that means to a Ravenclaw.
Library + Ravie = One Happy Camper.
Clever math equations aside, Silvain felt himself grinning as he made his way down to the shelves of books...
He scanned the edge of the shelves until he found spellwork and Magical Thesis shelves, and started looking through the titles. Finding a book that looked promising, he flipped through the pages, and, satisfied that it was broken down into concepts he as a bright but young Ravenclaw first year could understand.
He made his way over to a table, and sat down, opening to the first chapter, and beginning to read. He wanted to understand magic, and he didn't want to make a fool of himself in his classes with older kids.
Which seemed like every class.
Didn't people in this school understand different levels of skill? It didn't seem so...
He didn't let his mind wander. Tucking a lock of silver hair behind his ear, he continued to read.
*NOTE TO ALL: I'm leaving the site with this character, but look for a new, older Ravie to come in at the beginning of the school year next year who actually knows something about magic and can participate in the main plots without the need for the teachers who aren't here. Thanks. ((AND YES, I AM REALLY A GIRL IRL!!!)) *Shock of shocks*

"So you're swotting up already?" A voice from behind one of the shelves disrupted the blissful silence of the library, and hopefully disturbed the Ravenclaw's reading. "It's only the first week of school, and already you're in the library doing extra work?" Raising her eyebrows, the petite brunette girl rounded the corner and folded her arms in front of her chest. "But then, Ravenclaws are like that, aren't they?"
Okay, she'd been nice over the summer. To an extent. Now school was in again, though, the Hufflepuff girl needed something to distract her from her homework pile. "Don't people in your house have anything better to do than sit in and read a book? It's still nice outside, and will be for another month... so why not at the very least take it outside."
It was true. Everything she was saying was 100% true, so surely there was no harm in it. But... then... why wasn't she outside? That's besides the point, Charl.
Walking in a calm manner to the back of the boy's chair, the brunette girl folded her arms atop it and lay her chin on it. "So... whatcha reading anyway?"

Silvain looked up, and turned around, confused and surprised.
"Umm...It's called..." He closed the book, keeping a finger inside to save the page, and looked at the cover. "...The Science of Magical Energies," he read, looking back up at her.
"And, um...I'm in here because I don't know who the Librarian is, and I don't want to take it out in case I lose it, and, um...Why are you talking to me?" he asked. His tone wasn't mad, or annoyed, or anything. Just nervous, a little scared, and purely curious.

Nervous and a little scared? The emotion seemed to radiate from him. Oh how fun! Already, an all too familiar sparkle could be seen lighting up generally dull brown eyes.
"Sounds interesting," Charlotte replied, rolling her eyes and leaning further onto the back of the chair. "Slightly advanced, though, don't you think?"
As for why she was talking to him.... the Hufflepuff girl only shrugged lightly. "No particular reason... just thought I'd say hi. Any problem with that, kid?"

Silvain shifted forward a proportional distance to Charlotte's lean, keeping the distance between them the same.
"Um...no, not...really, I guess," he replied. "You...came to the library just to socialize with a random Ravenclaw?" he asked,

OOC: No bumping.
IC:
Teagan slipped on a gray tank-top, pulling it down to cover the tops of her jeans. Then, she pulled a black muggle shirt over it--the same long-sleeved one she seemed to wear all the time. Magic and it's wonderful cleaning capabilities... Anyone who dared to look through her trunk would notice that she really only had a very limited number of actual clothes. She had sent that silly dress of Darren's back to him after the start-of-school dance.
Teagan plus dance... equaled "no."
Scowling, she brushed through her once obtrusive red hair. Since she had transfered to Firefox University, though, red definitely had to be the most common hair color. In public, Teagan still had every intention to change her hair and eyes brown for the short periods of time she would be there. Of course, the new ministry laws always liked to disharmonize her life even more... Perhaps she could use the magic while at the school and not get in trouble for doing so before she was in Drakborough or the Triangle Tunnel? There were still eight months to go until she turned seventeen years old and could apparate without trying to avoid the law, et cetera.
Those poor, poor broken laws. They needed some very skilled doctors, considering how many times and in what ways they had been broken to repetitiously.
Teagan blew through her cold, thick lips into the quiet air of the Prefects' Bath. That place seemed so desolate at times. Did all of the administrative students coincidentally arrive there at different times, or were they all like Teagan in a way, purposely arriving when no one else was there?
For a few moments longer, the head girl waited and observed the little details of the faucets she had used for nearly two years before finally scampering into the hall, her badge hidden in one of the pockets of her jeans.
She was an enigma. Kind of. Her stupid eyes were never human enough, even when she charmed them brown, to be "normal" to anyone who actually dared to look closely enough at them; the tones of the brown would continue to stubbornly remain in an unnatural amount of variety.
Anyway, the 5'5" sixteen-year-old stepped silently through the halls, her careful red and violet eyes flickering back and forth, without any newcomers bothering her. The older ones knew better. Except for Cobalt. Cobalt had problems with his psyche, apparently. She had heard that he was a decent duelist, but he had tried to hang himself in the woods, and he had kissed Teagan multiple times, which was practically death in itself. He was such a flusterer, too... Idiot.
The Monolayre gracefully crept into the sanctimonious library and slyly walked over to a shelf toward the middle of the enormous room. Carelessly, her icy eyes scanned over the many, many books before her. Any book would be good for right now.. School was too stressful.
Teagan semi-randomly plucked a bright blue book free from its companions, her plentifully long fingers weaving around its binding easily, and flipped it open somewhere in the middle.
The book was that of a muggle narrative.
Her breathing escalates, her blouse growing tightly against her breasts. Her eyes glow in the gracious night as Aaron's smooth, rich fingers sliding across her cheek, petting her ever so lightly.
"Oh, Elizabeth," he whispered ever so lightly.
She smiles radiantly. "Oh, Aaron..." His fingers move lower so elegantly that Elizabeth can swear that this is a dream. His fingers brush onto her delicate shoulder lightly, gently pushing the teasing cloth she wears. His scrumptious lips glimmer in the faint strands of moonlight. She can hear his deep, beautiful breath, nearly as beautiful as his perfect eyebrows and lustful green eyes.
Elizabeth's heart leaps, flushing her porcelain skin pink. She inhales his aroma, so near, so close. Her hair tickles her throat. He is inches away, inches, and he nears so slowly with a slowness only one as handsome as he can get by with.
She finds herself unable to restrained any longer.
She stretches to meet his face, touching his succulent lips with her smaller ones, kissing his delicious mouth with hungry fever. Oh! The warmth floods through her veins and his body becomes close to her, moving one arm around her waist and keeping the other curling at her shoulder, pulling her ever so nearer...
Teagan blushed, muffled the sound of the slamming book with her fingers, and shoved it back onto the shelf with her only conscious thought being, What the hell?! No wonder Cobalt is so psychotic. Ugh... Such.. Freaky books... How were things about dark magic banned and not ones as horrible as monstrosity she had so innocently peeked into?! Nasty!
"...Any problem with that, kid?"
"Um...no, not...really, I guess. You...came to the library just to socialize with a random Ravenclaw?"
Curiously, the Monolayre stepped away from the shelf of horrors and calmly glanced over at the scene. Charlotte was hassling or making friends with (with Charlotte, this was a difficult thing to tell) one of the new ravenclaw first years.
Charlotte plus ravenclaw... equaled "no."
Teagan sighed to herself and folded her lithe arms together. Without much sound, she moved expertly, as though she had practiced walking so quietly most of her life (she had).
"Charlotte," said Teagan softly, standing a few inches away from the twosome, "I hope you're not causing any trouble. Mr. Matthews won't be happy if you get too loud." Politeness was unaccustomed for her, and so was the lack of absolute bluntness.
Perhaps she would grow to handle people better. Perhaps. Her unaccusatory eyes gazed down at Charlotte without aggression in their mysterious depths.
Either way, Charlotte had still set fire to the common room and had an issue with ravenclaws.

((I know, I'm sorry...No one had posted in a while, that's all. And I only read afterward that Charlotte was on Hiatus. Promise I won't do it again.))
Silvain looked up at the newest arrival onto the scene, wondering who this new apparently Ravenclaw was. He'd just come in here to get a little help understanding how magic worked...
He didn't say anything to the older girl, just looked up at her questioningly.
