To say that Ravenclaw House was the place for readers and scholars and thinkers would, perhaps, be inaccurate. At the very least, it would be an unmitigated generalization, which abstraction we seek to avoid, in order to present a more credible account of events.
In any case, we can safely say that to see a Ravenclaw within any sort of library was not uncommon, and indeed, some even said, facetiously, that Ravenclaw should prefer to sleep within the library, were such a thing permitted. As it was not permitted, we shall never know the truth of that statement, but that did not stop individuals from repeating it.
All of which is to say that Young Miss De La Rosa, who was indeed one of those worthies designated as a member of House Ravenclaw, was treated with no special attentions as she entered that sanctum of books within Firefox University that was, at one time, the very library of Salazar Slytherin.
As was her wont, Melisande, for thus was Miss De La Rosa called, chose to appear with soft pink curls and brown eyes. Her outfit was the uniform shared by other students of her house. That is, she wore a knee-length skirt of blue plaid; a white, short sleeved, collared, button-front blouse (for it was late spring, and therefore warm); a blue tie; and white knee socks with black flats.
She wandered thither and yon among the stacks of books, picking up a volume here and there, until she had quite a sizable stack. As these books were become quite heavy and cumbersome for her to hold, she decided that it would probably be best for her to find a table at which to sit. There were several tables, desks and groups of chairs scattered throughout the area, and soon, Melisande had found a likely spot.
She settled into her table and chair quite comfortably, and looked again at the tomes she had collected:
Advanced Potion Making by Libatius Borage
Extreme Incantations by Violeta Stitch
Weird and Wonderful Wandless Spells by Waldo Whitley
Complex Transfigurations: From Conjuration to Animagi by Professor Mordicus Trimble
Satisfied with her choices, she began to read.
