Malachy knew he was missing something in the shop. It was a book, on some more advanced potions. The only reason he knew he was missing it was because he had used it once when he was a student, and there for knew it was in the school library.
So why would he be looking for it anyway and not just finding a seller and buying it? Well he could only remember what it looked like and approximately where it was in the library, and not the actual name.
Of course he could have had Morgan search for him but he was bored and it was mid day she wouldn't be out of school for a few hours.
So here he was the albino Slytherin Alumni, dress in a set of black jacket, a green shirt, khaki pants, and a pair of black, semi-formal dress shoes. searching the shelves he had browsed so many times before.

Ashelle sat in one of the comfy, over-stuffed study chairs in the library doing some research for her final potions project before Christmas break. It was a precursor to her last final, inventing a potion of her own, and Ashelle wanted to be sure what she was going to attempt was significantly impressive, but also not impossible to complete without some ominously hard to find ingredient.
Despite how tired she felt and how comfy the chair was she couldn't help but notice when Malachy walked in and set to work finding a book. Ashelle slowly wrapped her robes around her legs while holding her book before her face. He wouldn't recognize her if he couldn't tell if it was a skirt or pants she wore, the book she held being large enough to cover most of the fount.
Once she felt she was significantly hidden from being recognized she went back to making notes on her notepad of parchment. Why she didn't just leave was a question of pride; no jerkface looser was going to show up in her school and dictate where she, the Head Girl, could and could not study merely by his presence. However her trying to hide her identity was a matter of protection; she was sure by now Malachy had given Sning and his raven carte blanche to hurt her should they find her. Their break up had not been a pretty one, and Ashelle knew Malachy better than to think for one moment he'd let the matter end with a slap on the face.
Malachy hadn't noticed here and surprisingly neither had Sning but Malachy, had done some minor transfiguration on Belasko, seeing as he didn't need the trouble Belasko had gotten in before. Speicies to pieces Transfiguration wasn't unheard of unless you where trying you transfigure your self or some one else of course. No Malachy decided on an animal that would not be mistaken as a wild bird.
Secretly Belasko was really liking the form he now had more than anything, but he knew that it was only temporary. Belasko had also noticed the girl that had slapped his master at the beginning of term dance. Contrary to Ash's belief Malachy hadn't told his familiars, thats what we will call Sning and Belasko for now, harm the head girl in anyway. Still Belasko wanted to get her attention and learn more about this girl that use to be friends with Malachy.
So from the shelf Belasko flew down on leathery, ebony wings, His dark scales seed to shine like tiny mirrors as they reflected light. He landed with a gentle click on all fours on the table infront of Ash. It sat up on two legs and craned its long neck of the top edge of her book and looked right at her and let out a quiet chirp that sounded like a really hoarse parrot.
If Ashelle lower her book this is what she would see. Standing on the table was a black scaled dragon about the size of a common house cat. It had a form similar to a Welsh Green but the end of its tail was like that of a Horntail and its eyes where a wonderful golden yellow with cat-like pupils. Some other things to not about this mini-dragon was that there was no smoke coming from its mouth or nostrils, that's because it didn't breath fire in fact it couldn't breath any sort of element, for one Malachy wasn't quite skilled enough to transfigure such an ability, and because Pseudo-Drakes didn't have elemental breath.
It tilted its head and looked at her with open curiosity.

Ashelle couldn't help hearing the chirping. It was rather close on the coffee table that held some of her books. Carefully Ashelle lowered her book to reveal one eye. She looked over the small dragon then looked back at her book. Malachy had a fascination for Dragons big and small. If this specimen didn't belong to him, she didn't want it to make anymore noise and attract him. The best way to do this should be to pay no attention to it.
If on the other hand it did belong to him, it was even better that she didn't pay it any heed, for it would surly call him over if she were to show it attention. However, Ashelle couldn't concentrate any longer. Slyph had taught her well. Size was not any indication of power when it came to magical creatures. Dragons were Dragons no matter how small one shrunk them. Ashelle wrapped her fingers around her wand in her wand holster just in case.
Malachy had noticed that his transfigured Raven had left, and he hoped it wasn't going to cause trouble. Sning was only vaguely paying attention to the dragon.
The dragon however was not about to be ignored. Talk about rude, was this witch really going to ignore him especially when he looked so handsome. He got back on all fours and walked around Craning his neck around the side of the book that was being held by her hand and rested his scaly chin on her fleshy skin, trying to look cute and get her attention again.
"I'm not going to let you ignore me Ashelle. so stop being rude. I want to know a few things, like why you slapped My master a few months ago. I'm with holding judgment and I want to know you're side of it." The voice was telepathic, and wouldn't be missed but only Ash would be able to hear it.

Ashelle looked over at the dragon, sighed and turned the page. You must be a boy, she thought to the dragon if you were a girl you would understand how devastating the name he called me really is. Basically he yelled to the whole school that I . . . she looked at the dragon again and tried to find a word he'd understand.
. . . That I 'mate' with any boy I can get my hands on. In the Wizarding World that isn't a good thing. Lucky for me I haven't mated with anyone, and people quickly figured that out buy asking the boys if they'd ever mated with me. They all said no so now I am labeled a prude, which is fine by me. A prude mates with no one, but it's not as bad a label as a whore. Ashlee sighed.
We we're the same, Malachy and me. We both thought the other should pay us more attention. When neither of us did, we both got angry and blew up. It's better that we did I suppose. I am not nearly as distracted from my studies as I was then. My grades improved immensely. She smiled wearily at the Dragon.
Balasko just tilted his scaly little head and replied. "You know I'm not really a dragon right, I'm a raven. Let me tell you a little something about out kind. You may know that us Raven like things that sparkle in the light, We like them because the Females like them and the more you have well the more of a chance you have to reproduce. Male work hard to find as much as they can to impress at least one girl. In fact the Males are very faithful. The girls however can't make up their mind and sleep with many other bird. So I understand the meaning of the word whore. You don't have to speak down to me. I also understand that Humans, as with most of you furry/hair, animals have it the other way around."
Any way I know that there is a similarity in our species, Males do their best to impress women and they do it by doing alsorts of things, whether it be buying a shiny stone, or doing something intellectual to show how smart of a mate they are, or whether it be building a shiney nest in a plentiful part of the wood, to show they have the resources and the know how to help their mate survive. It all eventually toward the same goal, but it doesn't discredit that they did it all for their mate."
But when that mate ignores everything that the other does and accuses them of not caring when they just worked their tail feathers off to show how much they do care it hurt, it's as mush a matter of pride as it is greed." Belasko's dialog was long but their was a lot to explain.
"Ash, I know your name because I've seen it in master's head and i heard it spoken at the dance. Thinks shouted in anger are almost always irrational. But you're lack of understanding and bulled headed ignorance of what he had achieved drove an arrow through his heart, as tough as he is you wounded him. You've worked the dangerous animals with that church before you left, did you not? What happens when you corner and then injure a wild beast. Does it cower or fight. What kind of Animal do you take Malachy for? The Mini-Dragon gave her a hard look.
It was sometime in the middle of this lengthy speech that Malachy had looked over and taken notice of Ash and Belasko. He leaned against the book shelf and was silent. He couldn't hear Belasko's Telepathic speech but he knew he was talking to as and he wanted to see what would happen. As it seem He had gotten her attention.

I am sorry, I didn't mean to seem to be speaking down to you thought Ashelle. If the bird had been trying to make her uncomfortable he'd hadn't exactly succeeded. However she was sincerely sorry for mistaking him.
You think Malachy was doing all that for me hmmm? Well you can tell him I appreciate his efforts, but between you and me I am not sure it was all just for me. Hmmm, never the less what's done is done. I am trying to become someone who doesn't look back, it's bad for you to dwell on things, even happy things, that are part of a painful past. If you want us to be friends again, I suppose we could, but if you think I am too stuck up than I'll understand. I am trying to work on that too.
Suddenly she noticed that Malachy was not looking at the shelf anymore. She buried her head in her book and pretended she hadn't noticed. I try to always mean the things I say, she added to the Dragon/Bird, it's not becoming of an O'Conner to lie even in anger. But you are right sometimes things do slip out. and she sighed silently.
Really I was just curious about you I had only met you for a few brief moment before you blew up at Master. Whether you two regain your friend ship or not is not my concern. He saw Ashelly look up and then cover her face then he looked behind himself and saw Malachy watching the.
Belasko wondered how long he had been watching. Either way Belasko Relayed the bullet points of their conversation. Malachy walked over to the table. He leaned over putting his hands on the table and looked down at Ashelle.
"You can't move forward till you right the wrongs of the past. Covering problems up and pretending like nothing happened solves nothing." He paused a moment wondering if she was getting what he was saying. "I forgive you, but forgetting is another issue. And I apologize for blowing up and calling names, being insulted is not something Slytherins put up with well." He stopped and looked to Belasko, held out his hand and let the Polymorphed bird crawl to his shoulder. Then he stood up as if to leave.

Ashelle put her book down and sighed aloud. "Don't I know it," she said, "both my parents were in Slytherin, and I have heard it whispered behind my back that the Sorting Hat must have been on something when it sorted me." She paused, then looked up at Malachy.
"It's very big of you to apologies first and I appreciate it. I am sorry for what I said at the dance. I never intended it to get that out of hand . . . and," again she paused and this time her voice dropped to a whisper, "I never imagined that you were doing all of those things to impress me. I'm - I obviously don't believe I was worth all that, for I thought you were doing it for yourself. You know, worrying about you own future like I always used to."
She looked down at the closed cover of the book. Her eyes glistened but no tears fell. It wasn't as hard as she thought it would be, admitting what a terrible sense of self-worth she'd hidden -even from herself- all these years. What was going to be hard was asking her family for help in this area. They all had such confidence, the genuine kind, and while she wasn't sure if they knew the truth, she was pretty certain they at least knew something wasn't a hundred percent on about her.
Malachy turned back to Ash, "Why can't it be something for the future. So what if it wasn't about you why would it matter. Yeah I hadn't talked to you in a while, but I had things to tell you its not like I completely ignored you I was busy and when i finally get time to talk to you, you break it off. Well, I'm doing fine, aside from the time Phugs and Roan tried to destroy me and my shop."

Ashelle looked at him like he'd just sprouted antlers. Then she shrugged, perhaps the bird/dragon had been wrong, it wasn't her affair, she supposed.
"Phugsius and Roan? Well, you can report Phugsius to the Headmaster, but there isn't much you can do about Roan, unless it's hunt her down. I hope you find the book. If you can't seem to find it you can ask me or the librarian. He's usually in his element in here." She smiled pleasantly, all the while wondering how she and Malachy had ever gotten to like each other in the first place.
Every time she thought they were on the same page, he seemed to throw the book out and begin a new one. It was kind of frustrating but she wasn't about to let it show. That would only create more trouble. And she was in way to much of that as it was.
Malachy sighed, "Well I'm not snitching, I'd rather get even than turn him in" He said referring to Phugs. "And I'm not even considering drawing the librarians attention my way. I Doubt I'd survive his attention. I sort of almost burned this place down a few weeks before graduation." He he felt Belasko laughing and looked over at his shoulder. "It wasn't funny. and it was an accident." 'What? I wasn't laughing.' Malachy just kind of glared but decided not to argue the point.
He shook his head and then looked back at Ash, "Anyway, there was a potions book that had potions that dealt with using Lycan fur and I haven be able to find it anywhere on the mass market, mostly because I can't remember it's name. All I know is that it wasn't one of the standard Potions Books we used in class.

"Hmmm sounds to me like that would be in the Forbidden Section. That would be easy to access if you were a student," she said after a moment, " all we'd need is to get a pass. Since you're a alumni, I suppose you'd have to ask Headmaster Windwaltz. Unless you've burned his office lately I am sure he'd let you look for the book - and perhaps make copies of -at the very least- the name so you can get it for yourself." Ashelle smiled enigmatically.
"And you are in luck I just so happen to know how to get past the Phoenix statue that guards his office. If you want, I'll see if he's available to talk to you." Ashelle didn't get up. She figured Mal would tell her he HAD been burning Talons office or that he knew how to address the Phoenix himself and would go ask right away. Either way, he likely didn't want her to come with him. It had always been like that.
Now that was a confusing and a little coincidental, Malachy the owner of a bookstore that had its own restricted section, was now needing to ask for permission to look at the schools restricted section. "Do I really need the permission, I'm not a student anymore, not to mention i never asked for permission the last time I glanced at the book during my sixth year.
"Well if you insist we could go ask Mr. Windwaltz But before we do I think Belakso needs to be turned back Not sure what his reaction to the dragon would be." 'Aw do I really have to I like this form.' "Also I've never met Mr. windwaltz more than briefly before." Though he was wondering why he didn't just send a patronus it would be quicker. Though meeting him face to face would be more personal.
