It was a little past dusk when Willow started towards the top of the tower. The lycanthrope loved watched the sky at dusk, watching the last rays of the sun turn colors and disappear. She'd been up there for a few hours now, watching. Waiting.
The first star glimmered up to her right and Willow fixed her eyes on it. She knew it wasn't really a star; It was a planet. Venus, if she remembered right. Goddess of love. The lycan sighed softly, glancing down across the lawn, thinking about her love life. About Torrid.
Willow wondered if she would get in trouble for being on campus again. Fenrir wasn't very happy with Seth, and that might affect his mood, his views on things...Then she decided it was her business. Besides, what Fenrir didn't know would hurt him. Right?

Rose walked quietly up the stairs of Ravenwood Tower. She could feel the draft coming from outside through her cloak. She had just come from dinner and was avoiding doing her school work at the moment. She opened the door to the top of the tower and slipped through, closing it behind her. She turned and gasped. She hadn't even considered someone else might be up here. "Hello," she said, walking towards the other girl.
She heard the soft footsteps a moment before the door opened. There was a sharp intake of breath and for a second Willow wondered if she had shifted without knowing it. The lycan glanced over her shoulder, eyes slightly narrowed as she took in the girl's appearance.
"Hello." Her attention riveted on the student for a beat before returning to the stars, the soft glow of the vanishing sun making Willow's pale green-grey eyes glow every so slightly. She knew she must look like a mess to this girl, who had a hot bath and warm bed to go to. Willow had her pile of leaves, but personally. she liked her pile of leaves. It was comfortable. And she didn't have to worry about the mattress exploding or whatever.

She smiled slightly at the girl, walking to the edge of the tower. She pulled her cloak around her shoulders tightly. "So, um, what House are you in?" she asked, her silver eyes staring up at the stars.
The girl's eyes were the same color as the moon, and that relaxed Willow. For the moment. A beat later her question roused the lycan's anxiety again. Carefully, she thought about sidestepping the question.
"I was in Gryffindor," Willow replied, blowing her bangs out of face. "What house are you?"
Was. Past pretense. Willow half-smiled, thinking about the grouchy english teacher she'd had when she went to muggle school. Strange, she would never have to take arithmatic or english again. Kind of sad.

The other girl relaxed, then seemed to tense again at her question. "Ravenclaw. I'm Rose, by the way," she said, smiling. She stared up at the stars, picking out her favorite constellations.
So maybe Ravenclaw's weren't so bright after all. Willow let out a sigh of relief and rubbed her jaw, where she had been cut by some thorny bush or something. The lycan leaned back against the window, looking down to the flagstone far below.
She had heard someone had jumped from up here. Or tried to. Willow couldn't remember any details. Strange thing to be thinking about while she was standing here talking to this girl. Rose. A pretty name. She seemed nice.
"I'm Willow," the lycan murmured in reply. "What are you doing up here? Shouldn't you be eating dinner or something?"

She glanced at the girl. She could sense something strange about her, but she couldn't quite place it. "Nice to meet you. I left early. It was loud and I like to come up here, look at the stars," she said, still looking at the sky.
This girl, Rose. She was starting to look at Willow funny. Most people always noticed something, but few placed it. They just thought she was weird. Which she was.
Willow nodded in acknowledgment to the comment. "They're very peaceful," the lycan murmured, returning her eyes mostly skyward. But not quite. Mostly, she was looking to the distant trees. It would be a good night to wander. The moon wasn't full, she wouldn't have to worry about Seth or whatever other werewolves were wandering around. Not that she should worry.
For once, she was a loss at what to say. Willow chewed her lip. "I haven't seen you around before. You must be new." It wasn't quite a question. It was up to this girl to answer it as a question or a statement.

She nodded. "Yes." She paused. "You said that you were a Gryffindor. Were?" She asked. She had been wondering about Willow's words for while. She named the stars in her mind. Adara, Atlas, Auva, Kuma, Bellatrix, she stopped at the last one. Why anyone would want to keep that name on a star was beyond her.
Willow was eyeing one of her favorite constellations when the question came. Serpens, coiled some miles to the left of Libra. And Lupus wasn't to far away either...She could really see the wolf constellation from where she stood, but if she turned..
Were.
The lycan gave her a cool glance, calculating. "I don't go to school anymore." Like any normal person, perhaps Rose would assume Willow was a dropout. And she was. Technically.

Rose nodded, not wanting to pry. She was silent, not knowing what to say next. She stared at the stars, pulling her cloak tighter. It seemed to be getting colder.
