Wavering somewhat as he balanced on the balcony of the tower, his gaze trailing down to the frosted ground beneath him with a nervous flicker. The December air wasn't as pleasant as he'd hoped, and the chill was beginning to get to him more than he'd initially expected. Pale moonlit skin stung from the breeze that blew against him from one side, sending shivers over his bare arms and tickling the minute hairs to stand besides goosebumps.
Sighing between semi-parted lips, Shadonious pulled his knee up to rest his foot a little higher against the ice-like rail; shifting as little as he could to ensure he wouldn't fall. He'd gained much more control over himself since he'd completed his practice, so much so that he hoped he was no longer as clumsy as to simply slip from the bar.
Resting his head heavily against the stone, the serpent stared out further, looking over the lush trees of the forest. The small sprinkle of dust and frozen water struck out their branches, coating the pineneedles in a thin icing doomed to vanish by morning. It was simply a shame so few people ventured out after hours, too afraid of whatever harpies faerytales they had been told.
No, Shadow had taken to staying out for hours after the curfew. He'd hide away as the timid creature he could portray, staying out of site whilst the prefects ran their duties. Afterall, he hadn't the single joyous intenton in seeing Felix under the threat of spending time under his rules. He scoffed lightly at the thought, shaking his head beneath the dark tendrils that masked his face. Maybe he could find Morgan, though. She'd be around somewhere, wouldn't she? Though she did say she wouldn't pardon him when he ran around the guidelines of the school.... meh, she might cut him a little slack if he asked nicely. He hoped.
