The cursed full orb was at it's peak. The land below was beautiful from so far up. The forest was merely a darker green plain over a lower and lighter green field. The lake too was visible for his perch.
Seth had long since taken his potion, and transformed into his lupine form. He was bored and decided to get a good look of the country. To get to his vantage point he had scaled the walls of the great castle and its greatest tower, where he now sat hunched over looking down at the countryside like a living black gargoyle.
Not long ago A young lady had made her way to one of the windows. He could smell her more than he could see her from the angle he was at. He smiled mentally at her comment on the night. Truely, the beauty of a night like this depends on your point of view. He spoke mentally. He It wouldn't take long for her to see him if she really tried. he was on the sill just out side and to the right of the window. Just then the breeze blew ruffling his fur revealing that he was noy a part of the dark stone wall. But a werewolf sitting outside the window looking out at the horizon.
Had he lips Seth would have smiled but he refrained as a Werewolf's smile looked like a dreadful sneer. So she knew how to speak with out speaking. In the beginning the transformations are painful and most of all frightening more so when without the blessed potion. It still hurts but it's better knowing that you'll keep you mind and a comfort to know you won't hurt anyone. he explained in response to her first mental question.
Don't get me wrong Being a werewolf has it's perks. For one there could be a gale of a wind, and I'd still be able to here you from behind that window. And this nose here can smell every molecule of sweat, and the emotional faramones that are in it. I'm glad to say I don't smell any fear. That is the worst, the fact that so many people fear me like this. He said truthfully. He gazed down at the lake glittering in the star light.
He sat there and listed to her as she spoke. It was nice to have human company. As for what brings me here? Look at the view and tell me that seeing all of natures bounty from this high up isn't worth the clime up the side of a castle. It beats the veiw from down there. he noted happily.
Suddenly a noise was carried along the breeze. It was the howl of a wolf from the forest. He recognized Marc Streampaw's victory howl. He must have landed himself something big. Seth decided to show his approval and returned the howl with a congratulatory one of his own. It was loud and haunting and from here it would carry for miles.
(ooc: I hope that doesn't count as g- moding Marc)
Seth's paw/hand was twice the size of hers and his fingers where even longer so when he too the hand to shake it, gently. Grabbed he hand and half her forearm. You have a pretty name. He said as a compliment.
The reason he seemed so calm, other than the fact that he had taken his potion, was that he had long since come to terms with what he was was. Nothing was going to change that so why morn it. It was best to live the one life you where given, no matter the cards dealt , to the end and to the fullest. He had learned to love nature. This form brought him even closer.
I'm grateful that your not already halfway down that staircase screaming about a rabid werewolf on the tower So, Lafintini, He said testing the foreign name, why don't you tell me what brings you to the castle you don't look like a student.
My name is Seth, Seth Reilly. And really the moon isn't the reason I'm here, I'm an earthen spirit if any. He said. He understood the spirit talk he had read up on it a little so, he he was no expert but he judged his element was probably earth. He was a really practical person, down to earth and could be as stubborn as stone when he wanted to be. But he was also a kind hearted person he loved nature and how it worked and spent lots of his time in the forest.
He looked down at the lake and the forest and he could feel the breeze blowing up from below. It was actually quite nice. You know I've been here about 6 moons, as in I've been in Spain for six months. And i never thought to come up here ill to day. I'm glad I did I made a friend and discovered a wonderful vantage point. he thought happily to her. It was a beautiful night.
Seth nodded once to show he understood. He guessed he could see why se use the name Dovie instead. It was easier to say really. Why is it that so few know about who you are? he thought out loud. Curiously wanting to know.
I've never tried to hide what I was. Even in human form i guess it's a little4 self distructive but hiding the truth seems to build mistrust.

Speaking of Talon, the Headmaster scaled the highest of Firefox's towers for the first time since its creation. His heart still mourned the passing of Aaron Ravenwood, the tower's namesake and the Astronomy Professor who gave his life for the school during the War of the Shadows. The very tower itself, though a site of learning and a place of comfort to many students, was proof of the Headmaster's failure, and an edifice built as a tangible reminder of the grief within Talon's heart.
So many people died in their prime for the desire of one man. Desire ungrounded, as the treasure Scorpius sought did not even exist. The power to end all wars was peace. Then, Talon mused, did the shadows and students alike die for peace?
When the Headmaster reached the top stair of the tower, his heart raced and he quickly threw himself to the side of the door so he could not be seen. A werewolf had invaded the castle, and was about to make prey out of whatever woman was standing up there. Talon, having faced countless such terrors in the past, hid his thoughts. While werewolves weren't totally within their right minds - unlike their cousins, the Lycans - and couldn't fully grasp the minds of people around them, sometimes they could feel stray thoughts floating in the area that could help them catch sentient prey.
The Headmaster wondered for a moment whether the right choice was to wait in the doorway and watch what the Werewolf would do, but then it occurred to him, and made him feel awfully stupid to forget so, that the beasts were wolves, and therefore relied more on their senses. That thing could probably already smell him, and if it didn't, it would soon enough. "Fulmina!" The Headmaster shouted, aiming his wand at the monster's head and creating a sonic boom as a stroke of lightning emerged from the point tip and flew towards the creature.
The sound of foot fall ascending the stairs met Seth's lupine ears before the reached the top step. He he was glad for Dovie's words. We may have a visitor Dovie She was a nice girl and he wondered if any of the other person would be as kind. His question was soon answered by the smell of fear that accompanied the scent of the person at the top of the steps. He turned and was about to say that who ever it was didn't have to be afraid But when he turned wheat he saw in the moon light was a wand pointing in his direction.
Seth's movements where quick. not certain what spell the wizard would use his first thought was to get Dovie out of harms way, so that was the direction he moved, towards her. Turning his body he dug his right claw into the stone wall and leaped at Dovie, Well not at Dovie. he leaped at the spot between her and the wizard. Just as he moved her heard the incantation and heard the boom of power as energy erupted from the wand. The arc of lightning missed the faint smell of burnt fur told Seth that he hadn't gotten completely away. Sir, do you always attack before asking questions? he asked the unknown wizard that had just attacked him. He tried to keep agitation out of his voice but having been just attacked, being civil wasn't easy.
It was, most unfortunately, sometime in the middle of the night when Edmund finally reached his destination. Due to time zone changes, he had arrived from his journey at a horrible unintended time. Though it was very late at night, he decided he might as well attempt to visit the Headmaster anyways. After all, the worse case scenario would be that the Headmaster couldn’t see him, in which case he would try again the next day, after a night spent in the nearby town of Drakborough.
He had no trouble gaining access to the castle, which conveniently seemed to have no guards about it at all, or any other sorts of protections.
As there didn’t seem to be any students wandering about, he took to asking the paintings he found on some walls regarding the whereabouts of the Headmaster. At first, they were suspicious of the man, yet, by his own formidable power, he soon had him charmed to his favor. To his great pleasure, he discovered that the Headmaster was still up and about, even at this hour. Where he was located at the present moment seemed to point towards one of the castle’s towers.
As he was making his way there, he heard a truly dramatic howl echoing around what must be the entire castle, coming from the direction in which he was now headed. Reaching the bottom of the tower, he ascended with utmost haste to find… what appeared to be a werewolf, the Headmaster himself and some random girl that was probably of no interest. The Headmaster seemed to be openly hostile towards the werewolf at the moment, so he decided he should naturally side with him, unless he found greater reason to do otherwise.
“Does the Headmaster require aid?” He asked, stepping up behind him as he placed a hand in his pocket, feeling for his wand. Under normal situations, he normally never bothered to use such a thing. After all, he had powers beyond such petty trivialities as magical spells, yet being able to cast them in a bind never hurt.DERP!

One of the few powerful magical skills Talon had taken time to learn was occlumency. He first entertained the notion as a teenage boy, but whatever attempts he had made back then to shield his mind had been broken by his rashness and lack of focus. This idea was renewed in his mind almost a year ago, during the battle at the Crypt against Scorpius. Hearing then-Professor Elensar and Sylph talk back and forth to one another through their minds was enough to make the Headmaster realize the very danger he could be in with his very thoughts exposed to such abnormal wizarding powers.
Thus, as in this situation, when Talon declared his thoughts were blocked, he was not kidding. Whatever 'thought-speech' the monster or the witch apparently claimed to possess would not make a dent on the Headmaster's mental shield. He also knew werewolves that had taken their potion were capable of human speech through their mouths (not being totally wolven when in their transformed state like their cousins, the Lycans) and therefore if the creature did not speak with its mouth, it was animalistic and unable to control itself.
Therefore the only thing out of the whole little back and forth that Talon heard was Dovie's 'Are you okay?' Luckily for the witch, the Headmaster was not foolish enough to expend too much energy on the first attack. While the Headmaster had little experience facing against other wizards, he had faced far too many dark creatures for his own good. He knew this battle could go on for a while, and the creature might not even wind up dead, but retreating in horror at the crackling power of Jupiter's spear.
"I'm fine Dovie run," Talon mumbled out as fast as possible before pointing his wand at the creature's head again. Then the Headmaster heard a chilling voice behind him asking him if he needed assistance, and immediately Talon thought of the mysteriously loyal and powerful Nephilim Orifiel. "Help gladly appreciated," he muttered back.
Seth had been hoping that dovie would stand up for him and that of all people the headmaster might understand. It seemed that the current moon was revealing many things that Seth didn't like. The headmaster of the school didn't trust him, though he couldn't blame the man, he was the one ho had turned a student of his, but that wasn't completely his fault And the girl seems to rather enjoy her lupine form Still that wasn't the point.
Suddenly someone else came up the stairs and with him came the smell of death. it was far more faint than one would smell on a corpse the human nose wouldn't have been able to pick it up but a werewolf's sure could. This person was undead, and Talon TRUSTED him? Talon trusted the living impaired over a living creature.
Just before Seth could speak Dovie spoke and ran off. He mentally bid he far well but now this fight was two against one well Seth hoped it wouldn't become a fight. "So you're Talon, the Headmaster of this school? You can put your wand away I'm not going to attack you, and since when would a man as wise as i hear you are trust a vampire?" Seth was guessing on the vampire part but he has pretty sure that he was correct about this.
"If I were a vampire, could I do this?" he asked simply, withdrawing his wand and conjuring a rubber ducky in the same motion, before aiming the wand at Seth and waiting for the headmaster to do or say something heroic.

Dovie escaped and Talon felt a little less worried. The thought of an innocent witch caught in the middle of crossfire between an elementalist, a werewolf, and a nephilim would've kept the Headmaster from giving his all. The werewolf descended, the monster giving off an aura of fear that would paralyze muggles and the weak of heart, and particles of electricity began to stream around Talon's body as he prepared for a battle.
Then the monster, well, person, spoke. Talon suddenly realized maybe he had acted too fast. Still, the Headmaster thought, he had been smart. One does not simply talk to a werewolf, even if it was sentient. Shoot first and ask questions later was a general rule for monsters, considering the fact that a smart, human-minded werewolf generally does not climb a tower and engage a woman in conversation. That being addressed, Talon wondered why Dovie was here in the first place...wasn't she about Sylph's age?
"Vampire?" Talon responded, and his eyes flickered back to see who was standing in the doorway. It was not Orifiel after all, but an equally mysterious figure bearing a wand and summoning a rubber ducky. "In my life I have traversed three continents in search of history and have encountered many things, werewolf, but I have never seen or heard of a vampire capable of magic. The gift of sorcery is a vital one, that dies with the body and soul."
The Headmaster was still rather on edge, despite the fact that he had deemed the creature capable of thought. Just because it could think didn't necessarily make it innocent. There once was such a creature that was able to think his actions through and was still murderous. That creature had killed Talon's best friend. "I hope that can attest to both your questions. Yes, my name is Talon Windwaltz, Headmaster of this school, and I am wise enough to know a vampire from a wizard and not to trust a fully transformed werewolf who has climbed your ramparts and invaded your domain."
The Headmaster was not a cruel man, but he was not above quips in the face of danger, "Surely you, who is part wolven, knows something of territory?"
Talon wasn't a stupid man, and for that Seth gave the head master credit. Seth could understand how he felt. A werewolf had scaled the walls of the school he is charged in protecting, even if the reasons where innocent the circumstance was suspicious to say the least.
This whole situation was getting worse and worse by the moment. Talon was in no mood to trust a werewolf on the full moon. Not that Seth blamed him he didn't trust his own kind in some cases. Also with whatever this other person was doing magic Seth had no way of proving the truth of what was to him obvious, and to a human, not so much. And now that he really thought about it everything from their perspective, well at least Talon's, Seth was the invader. he hoped this wouldn't get any worse.
So with talon stirring up what felt like a thunder cloud ready to burst and some unknown fiend backing him up Seth decided to play it safe, and try to talk his way out. "I concede to your point Mr. Windwaltz” He started hoping that respect would help, “I have no Idea what the being behind you is but I know what I smell and he’s not human, at least he’s not completely. In truth I is that I came up here to have a nice view of the area.” He said keeping his tone respectful, and doing his best not to get himself blasted out of the tallest tower in the school.
“I also understand the concept of territory, I’m a woodsman at heart and even without the lupine beast in my head I know how territorial wolves and humans can be. Since I’m on your turf and I do not wish to challenge your claim on it what should the next move be? I’d prefer to stay among the living as I suspect you do. The choices I see are either a fight, that I will probably loose, or we both back down and I leave here without confrontation, but I guess the next move is yours headmaster.” Seth explained hoping that he could get himself out of this.
Though the werewolf’s proclamation regarding Edmund's identity did inwardly leave him a minor bit disconcerted, he was not about to let this show, especially not in front of someone as influential as the Headmaster. Even so, Seth’s accusations seemed to carry no weight whatsoever with the Headmaster, thus Edmund didn’t seem to be in any trouble at the moment.
"Well," said Edmund, speaking up again when it seemed things might settle into awkward silence, "In my personal opinion, unless he’s harmed anyone, there’s no reason not to let him go. Provided, of course, it is made certain he does leave immediately and ceases sneaking in schools whenever he pleases. I would also advise, of course, notifying local Drakborough authorities about him. Not to arrest right off the bat, of course, just to let them know there’s a full-grown man sneaking around where children are living in the middle of the night.”
“Of course, if he has, say, bitten anyone already, such as that creepy woman who ran off already or perhaps one of the students here, that’s another matter. If that were the case, it might be best to come clean now and resolve matters before they’re brought into the light through other means at inopportune times.”
