OOC: Open to MoMo, Selly, Silv, Felix, Lucre and nurses. Heh, I haven't written since I left FFU. Probably not up to my usual par. O well, I'll get back to my routine. ;D
His heart was throbbing. He had gotten a wispy taste of the supernatural world and his current life, some memories good and bad. The choice was his alone; his heart ached for one thing, but his common sense knew that it was his inner demons that were deceiving his own soul. Placing his shaking hands on his thumping heart, TJ looked up to the sky. It was an endless void, dark, but also light. The world around him seemed so perfect, yet dull and listless. Straining to keep himself free from overpowering emotions, the boy struggled. Then he thought of his friends, his family, and the fact that he would see his brother again in the Paradise he believed in. Sighing softly, the boy picked his posture up, standing upright, and looked squarely into the eyes of his guardian, the boy whom he called Travis.
A cough escaped from the Ravenclaw’s lips. He mouth tasted ever so dusty and dry, and his face felt so cold and clammy. Where was he? Was he blind? He only saw void; darkness. Then it struck him that his eyes were closed. Since it had been long since he had used his vision, the boy was unsure of his motions. Focusing on his oculars, the confused teenager’s eyes fluttered open, not completely, but slowly and steadily. Startling light pierced into his visualization, hues of rapid color flooding into his mind. The boy blinked rapidly, trying to adjust to his surroundings. It felt like months since he had seen anything, but Teej was sure it couldn’t have been so. Looking in different directions to train his eyes to obey his mind, the Ravenclaw smiled weakly in delight. He felt so happy and carefree, a peace that circulated through his very being. It was beautiful.
He realized he was in the Hospital Wing, which he recalled he had visited several times based on minor scratches, bruises and cuts. Memories were flooding into his mind a mile a minute, sudden thoughts and reminiscences clearly imprinting themselves in his heart. Everything felt so new. Trying to pull himself upright, the boy moaned softly in his discomfortable and aching body. Forcing his body to prop himself up, the brown-haired patient looked around, his vision still not it’s clearest. Everything was new to him. He lay in a clean hospital robe, spotless and beautiful. He was sitting on a rather comfortable hospital bed, clean white sheets covering his body. Stretching in pain, TJ slowly inspected his environment.
Besides a simple desk, and a magical timer that checked his status, the only thing that stood out to him was a dresser next to him. Arranged on the dresser were beautiful sketches, fresh flowers, cards, a wand, and several other cool objects. They all seemed to be get-well cards of some sort, and the boy stared with an ecstatic grin across his face. Grimacing as he slowly turned himself around, he inspected each object, each time a different but pleasant expression playing across his bedraggled features. Some beautiful sketches by Selena, some stuff from Felix, many books borrowed from the library that someone must have been reading him, a wand from Shadow with a rather bellicose but caring message on it, and many other things. The fresh flowers showed that someone had been caring for him regularly, and TJ could only wonder who it was. He only though of Morgan, Selena, the nurse, or Silvain, but besides the nurse, they had no time to regularly check on him.
He groaned as a pain shot up his leg. Probably from a lack of use. He was wondering how long he had been here. A week perhaps? He hoped he hadn’t missed out. And what about his family? Maybe his mom or dad visited him, or maybe even Max, Anne, or Pat. Fresh thoughts were circulating through his mind, but he decided he had better ask people these questions. From it seemed, no nurses were present or near, so the boy relaxed back into his bed. Though he was extremely curious and buzzing with questions, TJ knew he would eventually know. Sooner or later someone would come and see how he was doing. For now, he had better rest and relax. Fixing him pillow, the boy lay down, his eyes still open, thinking about where he was. He knew he had made the right choice.
