Name: Torrid James 'TJ' Nightshadow House: Ravenclaw Year: 1st (but I'm 14, so in context I'll be taking fourth-year classes...)
I excelled in Transfiguration at a Prep-Wizarding school in Italy, and I have never used Dark Arts before, but hopefully will learn how to defend from it.

My Grandfather was a highly skilled Auror and has told me many stories about fighting against the Dark Arts. I personally have no experience in either field.

Also a short write up, perhaps a few sentences, detailing your experience with Transfiguration and the Dark Arts.
Though my parents were apparently Slytherin they didn't believe in using many Dark Arts because such things aren't natural, though I have found and read a few books on the subject in our libraries. Also, a strange man who seemed to be Talon's friend once almost tried the Death Curse on me. I found out later he was non-other than Lord Azrael himself.
My Transfiguration education has unfortunately been woefully inexact. Our last teacher seemed to have Transfiguration and Alchemy mixed up and he also had a frightful temper. I might have learned my Alchemy from him than Transfiguration, but I still am a Animagus hopeful.

*NOTE TO ALL: I'm leaving the site with this character, but look for a new, older Ravie to come in at the beginning of the school year next year who actually knows something about magic and can participate in the main plots without the need for the teachers who aren't here. Thanks. ((AND YES, I AM REALLY A GIRL IRL!!!)) *Shock of shocks*

Experience: Nothing exemplary. I would study Transfiguration in passing during my last year of schooling, but this time around, I plan on making more of an effort.

I haven't had any experience in the dark arts. A little part of me inside is curious about it, but another part of me doesn't want to know it. And I was transfigured once by one of my so called family friends. She turned me into a 'roo to get back at my mum.

My brother is a dark wizard, so he usually uses dark magic. I haven't seen him lately, though, so I really wouldn't know. When I was at home, I would watch him transfigure things, and I quickly grew a great affection for the subject. I don't have much experience in either, but I do my best.
He was born through purity, brought into this world as a new chance for Unknown, but he was corrupted and, through a dark ritual, was the portal that allowed Unknown back into the world.
He was taught much Dark Magic, but since Unknown has became human, he too has sworn off hurting people in any way.
But, Syrus doesn't know any of that.
If this was to be an actual form, I'm sure it would just say "I like to paint. Not too much into dark arts."

As far as I know there wasn't a Transfiguration Teacher in my first year. Though I have watched Gram do some transfiguring now and again. As for Dark Arts I don't really like the sound of them, I am sure they must be bad for the environment some how. Gram has made me aware of the three Unforgivable Curses and she says they aren't counter-able . . . except if they don't hit you. I am a good sprinter, and Gram is teaching me to make turns on a dime.
Name- Willow Michelle House- Gryffindor Year- 1st I had no experience, for reason's I'd rather not discuss...But I've heard about animagi and think it would be fantastic! Though I know it will be a long time before that...

I went to Beauxbaton Academy up until halfway through my Fifth Year, and learned a bit there. I do very well in Transfiguration and am pretty good in Dark Arts. Beauxbaton taught us well in both, but I've always just done better in Transfiguration.

Spent six years in Diagon alley and travelling, so I've seen transfiguration happen, but hadlittle usage of it personally. Little contact with the dark arts as well... Most has been via books and stories.
