Lying awake for once another night, the Slytherin looked around the dorm shaking his head. "Lucky bastards," he muttered as he sat up running a hand through his hair. He had been up for the past few days straight with no hope of falling asleep. Insomnia didn't bother him too much, it was mainly the fact that he had been trying to scratch up on poison making again. He knew how to get people sick, but never had he once been able to make a lethal one.
So this is what brought our young friend to the door of the Potions Mistress. Knocking politely, the young man looked down. "Señora Birchheel?" he asked softly. Thanking the lord that he had brushed up some Spanish, he opted to make his request known in Español.
"No preocupe soy de no aquí lograr el sueño de animagus, sino deseo aprender más acerca de venenos," he spoke quietly knowing that he wsa far from fluent, but rather almost memorized a Spanish to English dictionary. So to say the least, his grammar probably sucked.
"Do you think you can help?" he asked hopefully through the door.
She could turn him down if she wished, but he just was rather curious about how one goes about to kill a man. Sure there was the Avada Kedavra and muggle methods of shooting, strangling, ect., but poisons had always fascinated him.

It was late. It was late and even the potions mistress, who regularly got by on just five hours sleep a night, was thinking of calling it a night and retiring. That was until there came a mysterious knock upon her door. Glancing at the clock upon the wall, whose arms drooped somewhat as it gave out a loud yawn, Melia stood just in time to hear a voice filter through from the corridor beyond her doorway.
The grammar was slightly off, but she had to give the student - for a student it inevitably was - some credit for his attempt. Too few in this school took it upon themselves to learn the language of their adopted country, and it was gratifying to hear someone with the manners to at least try. It was also a relief that, for once, it was not a student seeking aid in the field of transfiguration. Melia did get a little tired of all those animagus requests after all, and hearing someone ask about her own subject was, again, pleasing.
She performed the two or three steps it took to get to the door and opened it, her face grim and lined in the flickering lamp light and her eyes glowed gold, hawkish and keen. A peculiar query, knowledge which was not strictly her responsibility to impart as a teacher.
"¿Venenos? A strange time of evening to be asking questions about such things," she commented without expression as she surveyed the youth on her doorstep. "Is there anything specific that troubles you about such a subject?"
Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink... But if you must... Lie in the arms of your love, Steal away from bad company, Cheat only death, And drink to the moments that take your breath away
"Indeed, and I appologize for that Señora," he whispered while looking up at the older woman. "And I am yet again sorry to disturb you at this hour," he stated soon after. He could tell that if he was going to get this woman's help in poison making he was going to have to use all of his wit to get it. Nodding to her question, Toshiya kept a calm and respectful posture.
"Yes ma'am. You see I was studying poisons as part of the school circulum. And since I had to transfer out early in the year, I was curious as to if I may get lessons for you on brewing them. I know how to make sleeping droughts, but nothing lethal," he explained.
Okay told her the truth, and now to lay on an extra layer of reassurance the young Asian thought to himself.
"And don't worry I have no intention of killing at this exact moment," he smiled gently while lowering his head as a sign of respect for the potions mistress. "I understand if you decline my request, but this is something I always wished to learn," he whispered as he stared at the ground at his feet.
"Por favor, Professora Birchheel," he pleaded as he gazed up at the cold witch through clear blue eyes. "Or if you wish, you can point me in the right direction since this topic is a rather odd one," he shrugged his eyes showing that he was willing to go to any length to learn the art.

OOC: Late again, my apologies
She did not dismiss his lateness in coming to her office, but she may as well have. This boy sparked her intrigue as well as her concern, and besides, Melia had never been one to sleep a great deal anyway. Hawk-like eyes swept over him as he confessed his interests, piercing and knowing.
"I should hope," she said in a silky, unfathomable voice. "That you have no intentions of poisoning anyone at any moment, Mister...?" She trailed off, leaving him to fill in his surname. It was not in Melia's nature to forget names, but then, she doubted that this boy had ever attended one of her classes.
"Still," she went on after a moment, and her tone indicated that she was considering his request in the fullest. "It is far, far better to learn a dangerous subject such as this under the keen eye of an experienced hand than to attempt things alone with only the help of books. There are poisons which, if brewed incorrectly, kill everyone in the room the instant they are decanted - not that all poisons are lethal in their effects. Still, I would regret it immensely if an experiment of yours backfired because of my lack of supervision." The way she spoke, however, gave no hint that she would ever rue anything, even the deaths of students. She would, of course, but emotion of any kind seemed out of place on the figure of this dark woman with her amber eyes.
"Perhaps you had better come in," she said after another pause and another sweeping, surveying glance. "And tell me your exact interest in this subject; what do you wish to learn, for example?"
Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink... But if you must... Lie in the arms of your love, Steal away from bad company, Cheat only death, And drink to the moments that take your breath away
"Ahina ma'am. Daisuke Ahina," he filled in giving his first name as well. Though he wasn't in her class, he had full intentions to join as soon as he could. The next lesson perhaps. And he was going to make sure it took the class, and not forget to sign up.
Hearing her words, Daisuke wanted to jump for joy, but didn't in fear of changing her mind. Though he had done his research on different poisons, never had he once learned of the side effects of killing everyone in the room.
Still, I would regret it immensely if an experiment of yours backfired because of my lack of supervision
Well that was new, the woman whom showed no emotion would regret something. "Understandable, and just to keep things fair on my side, I will follow every instruction given. If something went wrong it would be my fault," he spoke raising his head.
"Gracias Professora," he whispered leaning into a respectful bow of his own culture. Stepping into the room shyly, crystal like eyes wandered around. "Well though I had said I have no intentions of killing, I would like to learn another method that isn't the Avada Kedavra," he said quietly. "I have read about the 'Eternal Sleeping Drought' and it seemed rather interesting to learn to brew.
