To say Draven had a lot on his mind would be a understatement. His mind was practically flooded right now, and not with terribly positive things. His encounter with Professor Vablatsky was still a prominent memory, as was the talk he had with Headmaster Windwaltz. He and Zephyrus had to learn five spells in a month or face getting kicked out of school. On top of that, he was helping Aaren learn the ropes of the place. On top of that, he was steeling himself for the planned encounter with Gabriel. And mixed in among all those thoughts was the realization that he still needed to write a letter home asking if he could "stay here for the summer." He had a headache more often than not these days, so busy was his mind. He couldn't exactly seek help for the majority of his problems either.
But there was one...
"This is a list of five spells, all of differing difficulty, that I require you to study and learn in detail over the course of the next month. You may ask Professor Pendragon for assistance if you need help."
Professor Pendragon, Charms teacher. The spells given to him by the Headmaster were Charms. It made sense, then, for him to seek her out for help. In normal circumstances he probably would have been able to learn the five (well, four, since he already knew one) spells on his own, but he didn't have the focus necessary right now. He needed someone there to help him let go of his other problems, and he couldn't think of anyone better than the professor who had shown mercy on that awful day.
Thus he was making his way to her classroom copied list of spells folded up and tucked safely away in his pocket while his wand occupied the other one. He didn't stop to chat with fellow students he passed in the hall, instead taking the most direct route to his destination. He didn't even trip on the vanishing steps, which was something he might have been proud of if he hadn't been preoccupied with other things.
When he got to her classroom on the third floor, it was empty. To be expected, since classes were done for the day, but it was still a bit eerie. It was just him and the furniture, and the silence in comparison to the din in the hall was unsettling. He considered turning around and leaving for a moment, nervous as being here was making him. But no, he had a job to do. He didn't want to be kicked out of school. Clearing his throat, he broke the silence with his uncertain voice.
"Professor Pendragon? Are you there?"
