Amira reached out and grabbed her assignment. She got the lion that looked much more like a mouse. She didn't see the lion in it at all. She could see it like it was laying down, but why didn't they just connect the blank side with the rest of the body. Silly bored old people. The sugar high Hufflepuff finished up what was left of the sugar in the cup and opened the textbook and started filling out the assignment. She wrote her answers very neatly on the piece of parchment.
1. What is the name of your constellation?
Leo.
2. How many main stars are in your constellation?
Nine.
3. What are the three closest constellations to your constellation?
Cancer, Virgo, and Ursa Major.
4. In summarized paragraph, please tell me the myth or reason for naming behind your constellation.
The first on the list of Heracles' labors was the task of killing the Nemean Lion, a giant beast that roamed the hills and the streets of the Peloponnesian villages, devouring whomever it met.
The animal's skin was impervious to iron, bronze, and stone. Heracles' arrows harmlessly bounced off the lion; his sword bent in two; his wooden club smashed to pieces. So Heracles wrestled with the beast, finally choking it to death. He then wrapped the lion's pelt about him; it would protect him from the next labor: killing the poisonous Hydra.
As the story goes, the lion found its way to the heavens to commemorate the great battle with Heracles. Yet this isn't all there is to the story. For even in antiquity, long before the Greeks began telling stories, the lion was an ancient symbol of power.
5. What type of beverages/snacks would you prefer next class?
Sugar.
Amira turned her paper in to the teacher and began to walk out of the classroom when she was run into by a girl. The girl's lips pressed against the Hufflepuff's. What was with things kissing her? Were they just attracted to her? Her face reddened as the girl pulled away. "No. It's okay," she said even though it totally wasn't. People wouldn't ever think she was straight. She hurried and walked back to her common room to sleep and scrub her lips off with soap. No. Heavy duty Bleach. It kills 99.99 percent of germs. Well, she would have, but she couldn't because it would kill her. Like she would ever get to sleep because of the "Coffee".
