Normally on the morning post, there are stories about the Society of Shadows, and their looming threat on the front page. Usually speaking of how dangerous they are, the destroyed Triangle Tunnel and Drakborough, and other such things of that sort. All of those usually asking, What would happen next? Today, they knew.
When Tobias read the headlines, one thought registered through his mind...Without a hitch. Bless the Shadow Corridor, for without it, none of it would have been possible. What was not mentioned, was that in many international banks all over the world, small deposits of gold, or art, or jewels were put in the vaults of the Selther family. There was no record of this, for each deposit was only like depositing a normal week's salary. It was a simple matter really...but if he had not been trained by The Unknown One the Slytherin boy would have never made it past the dragon they had.
The Gringotts security system had never been tested against the Shadow Corridor, and it was defenseless when put to the test against it. He had gotten, killed the main staff, and after piling all of the loot in one large room, he simply had to create a very large Corridor beneath it all. Needless to say, he looked tired, as he nearly fell into a table, with a look that said, "Great, more bull in the world."
Also oddly enough, most of the untouched vaults were associated with the Society in some manner.
GRINGOTTS MASSACRE!
Most of Gringotts Slain in Mass Robbery
Story by: Pierce Jackoway
The morning staff of the Gringotts Wizarding Bank in London were horrified to find their entire night staff lying dead where at their posts. Many hit with the killing curse, with others dessicated beyond recognition. But this was not just a mass murder, it was the biggest theft in modern history. The theives or possible theif had disabled all surveilance charms and jinxes surrounding the bank, and past almost all of the security measures installed in the establishment. All except a few highest security vaults were emptied, more and more dead guards being found still. Along with an estimated 400 Billion Galleons stolen, large stores of jewels, artifacts, gold, and other such items have been reported missing. Even stranger is that there are no witnesses to see anyone come in or exit the bank, and there are no signs of external or subterranian paths to break in. Employees were suspected, unfortunately most were dead. It is thought that the Society of Shadows which was last sighted in Spain is to blame, though it is unknown. The Minister of Magic has this to say...(Continued on page A-12)
