James sat at the Gryffindor Table, silently enjoying his breakfast. It had been two weeks since he had started at Firefox University and he was liking it more and more every day. The classes were interesting. It was nothing he hadn't already learned from his father's teachings but every once in a while he was surprised.
The post owls came in and he received the newspaper. He paid the bird and it flew off. He opened the paper up and began skimming through. Rubbish, rubbish, rubb—. He stopped. What he now read made him feel as if he were sudden;y missing all of his organs.
No, it can't be—it can't be true.
John Mustang, 48, best known as the Auror who captured twenty-five Dark Wizards in a single raid, died yesterday. He was in Spain on business, when he disappeared suddenly. His body was found three hours later in Seville. The cause of death seems to be the Avada Kedavra curse, though it seems he was tortured by the Cruciatus Curse prior to death. There are currently no leads as to his murderer. He is survived by his wife, Angie and son James, who currently attends Firefox University.
Suddenly, James felt lightheaded. He was trembling all over. The salty sting of tears came to his eyes. He got up quickly and left the feasting hall, head down so no one would see him cry. The newspaper was gripped tightly in his hand. His tears stained the stone upon which he walked.
Why wasn't I told? Why, why, WHY?!?!— He crashed into someone and the paper fluttered to the floor as both of them fell to the ground, the article in plain view.
