Fenrir began to salivate; droplets of spittle were splattering onto the floor beneath his mouth as his mouth watered with anticipation. He noticed Talon hurrying in his general direction, but he didn't care what Windwaltz said or did to him at this point; Fenrir would be thanked for what he did. Oh his mind was bent on the praise and thanks he would recieve from the Headmaster, for a body whose obedience came before their personal squabbles was crucial for any organization or fighting force; without such obedience these students would be an undisciplined rabble. However the look on Talon's face wasn't that of gratitude, it was one of determination and Fenrir realized for a split second that he had crossed the fine line by changing forms and seemingly threatening the students.
Before anyone, even Fenris with his heightened reflexes, could say any words of outrage at the Lycan's threatening stance, a commanding voice shouted a single word; shattering the door that Fenris had blocked with his body. Splinters of the once mighty door pierced through the lycan's dense fur and punctured his flesh, and Fenrir roared out in fury at the sudden onslaught that had befallen upon him but the worse was yet to come. For in those minor agonies, one of a greater magnitude reared it's head; in the form of some blade that was stabbed into his back from behind. Staggering on all fours before collasping from the surprise attack, Fenrir morphed back into a man as an all-too-familiar voice mocked him where he had fallen.
"Why Little Miss Valient; only you would be so bold", snarled Fenrir as he pulled a large splinter of wood from his shoulder blade without even flinching; though his eyes widened with pain as his body finally realized how many more times he would have to do this. Her foul mockery of what Fenris Fenrir was flared his temper, but with the Headmaster almost upon them he did something that was out of the realm of possibility for him. He did not retaliate with either blows or words, but Fenris smiled almost drunkenly up at Roan while he continued to pull out splinters. After pulling out the last, the blood-covered lycan pushed himself from his position and continued to merely smile.
"I should have suspected that blade in my back was delivered by the force of your hand; I recognized it from your stench of...inexperience", said Fenrir toothily, "But why do you fight in the presence of your Headmaster; does your arrogance blind you of what has transpired here, or has another flaw developed in that pitiful form of yours? Whether you like it or not Miss Valient, I am temporarly allied myself to the school...for several reasons, but I guess since you are such an evolved homo sapien; you already know." Then Talon imposed himself between the two sworn foes; giving Fenris time to reach behind and wretch that dainty dagger from it's new sheath in his back.
"But how will you control this rabble if you let them voice their own thoughts that go against what is better for them", questioned Fenrir after listening to Talon's small explanation of wolves and humans, "Let them think whatever they want in their minds; I don't care whether it's about the person sitting across from them, my head on a pike, or you dancing stark naked with the Queen Mother of England! But you cannot allow them to infect the minds of others with doubt of your choice; do that and you, like many leaders before you will crumble. The mentality of a wolf isn't as much toward individualism as it is toward survival, but it would serve you well to adopt it for the time being."
But before Fenrir could continue explaining the logic behind the mind of a wolf, Talon's mention of pups hit him and hit him hard. "You wouldn't have much to judge Windwaltz; I have no pups and doubt that I ever shall at this rate. You are about to sail into stormy seas; I would advise that you sail no further. You have proven your point Master Windwaltz; your kind are not like mine, but when I look for examples of humanity among those you have pointed out all I see in their eyes is resentment, distrust and hatred. You still have much to prove before I can truly accept this group of yours. For now; I will take my leave and if you need me, send a student into the Wood to bring me from there."
"Oh and Roan", said Fenrir with his smile, now feral, plastered on his face, "Pull another little stunt like that and I will make sure it is your last. But I am not a very vengeful being; I feel generous today, so I'll let you off scot free." Turning again from Talon and facing Roan, Fenris Fenrir threw the dagger into the door frame above where it quivered in place. Another voice interrupted him as he was about to leave, and though he didn't turn about to face the owner; he knew that voice. "Miss Rainier; if that is your choice then so be it. I am not your alpha; I have no power over you, so do what you please. Yet you bring to mind that I still am not a memeber of this pack or Angelus Morti at the moment...so that means while I am still not my own being; I don't have to listen to any orders unless I want to. You have my deepest thanks for bringing this to my attention Miss Rainier.".
After so cordially thanking Miss Rainier, Fenris Fenrir spun around and lunged at Roan; his right fist connecting solidly with her jaw and the blow sent her to the floor. While towering over her, Fenrir muttered, "I told you that I felt generous today; in my eyes you got off scot free. And oh compare to a dagger wound and several large pieces of wood impaled in your body; that is clearly fair that I get one good hit in. The body of Firefox; until we meet again." And with that said and done, the gore-stained Fenrir strode out of the wrecked doorway as tall as ever and confident in his prowess, but inside there was something still left to be said.
Leaning against the frame of the entrance, Fenrir's head turned slightly but those eyes were clearly not the black ones filled with unparalleled hatred. "Right you are, old sport; everything has the right to think whatever it wants.", said Richard Rutherford softly before the body that both he and Fenrir shared made it's way from the Feasting Hall.bg
