It was afternoon on the day following the destruction of Drakborough. The sun had risen that day with a mournful tinge. People cried for their lost loved ones in town, some cried for their lost stores, others for their lost pets but mostly all cried for the absence of Talon Windwaltz, whom they regarded as their savior.
The Messiah. The Hunter of evil. The Defender of the good and the Hero of the helpless. All of these titles seemed to apply to Talon now, even against his wishes. Yet he wasn't there. The people died, their buildings were burned, but he was not there. Some didn't even care what excuse he had - he was not there. Their faith in him was shaken. They realized that they would have to fight this battle too.
Talon Windwaltz returned at the crack of dawn, alone, out of the Forest. His eyes were shaken open, sleepless, after the events of the night beforehand. His heart's bravery was tested so much that he felt he could've fallen down at that moment and broken into tears now that he was all by himself. Yet he remained strong, and continued up toward the school.
As he approached a particularly grassy part of the grounds, he felt himself fall to the ground out of fatigue. His heart slowed. He felt his eyes drop. Just as he was about to doze off completely, his peripheral vision caught the sight of -
"Smoke!"
Talon leapt up, and looked over the high hills between Firefox's moat and the village of Drakborough. That very village, to his horror, was smoking. Rushing down the hills as fast as he could, the Headmaster ran into the city and saw to his horror the destruction at hand. The people in that city seemed to shun him, keeping away from him. "Who did this?" Talon said, looking around, trying to get someone to speak to him. "Who did this!?" Everyone simply glared at him. "
"WHO DID THIS!?"

As the Afternoon sun glared down on the grounds, the bells of Firefox rang once more throughout the school. Summons for all students to come to the Feasting Hall immediately. This time around, none of the students were excited to come. They sat down at their respective tables, but this time there was no chatter. There was a buzz that ran through the hall, as they all stared up at the podium where Talon made his speeches.
When the Headmaster got up from the Head Table, he assumed the podium. Watching his students' glaring eyes was worse than anything he had gone through the night before. He stopped himself from shivering. He had already shown weakness, apparently, by not being with them the night before. He could not show weakness again. After standing there for nearly a minute of glaring, he finally said a great roaring "Hello."
That broke the silence.
"Everyone," Talon continued, "I know many of you have thousands of questions for me. But first I would like to answer the great question you've all been asking. 'Where were you, Talon?' I have not told any of the villagers, for I do not believe them to truly understand the way you do. Just to say it blunt: While you were all valiantly defending Drakborough from one evil, I was eradicating another - at least for a little while. The group known as the Angelus Morti is no longer on warring terms with us. Azrael Jeremiah has made terms with me, and the two of us now stand as one against the villains known as the Society of Shadows.
"As Azrael does not like to show himself to people all that often, (ooc: and is currently on vacation) a representative has come to speak on his behalf. A representative you may know well. Please come stand with me...Fenrir."
