Ignatius opened the doors to the Feasting Hall with a push. With him were a Ravenclaw, who he called TJ, and a Gryffindor named Star. All three of them were new kids, but they had joined together rather quickly. After introducing themselves and starting a conversation all three had voted on going to the Feasting Hall for a bite to eat.
"Wow," said the Slytherin as he walked in, "This place never stops being impressive." He looked at the four tables placed seperately from each other, and then up at the ceiling where the massive picture of peace was painted. "Even with magic you have to think of the immense effort that took to be painted." A few students were having a bite to eat at each of their tables - some playing cards or wizard's chess or something to pass the time.
"So," Ignatius said, turning around to his friends, "Here comes the difficult part. Which table should we sit at? I mean, we're all in different houses..."
"I really have no preference, since I haven't really made any friends but you guys. All I care we could sit at the Hufflepuff table." TJ chuckled slightly but quickly regained his composure. "So, I really don't mind. The only problem I see is the Gryffindor/Slytherin rivalry."
TJ shrugged his shoulders carelessly. "So, again, I have no preference."
"Yeah," Ignatius responded, "I have no problems with Gryffindors, obviously, but some of my house are kinda picky about their friends." TJ may have just been kidding but his compromise, at least to the Slytherin, seemed wonderful. "Hufflepuff table sounds like a great idea. I mean, they're supposed to be the fair and loyal ones? I doubt they'd mind if we hung out there."
He looked to the Gryffindor in their company, "What do you think, Star?"
"Umm... I really don't mind. We don't have to sit at mine since I don't know anyone. I just want to eat!" Star said with a smile and a small blush.
Star almost regreted becoming Gryffindor... maybe another house would have suited her better.
She looked around at how beautiful it looked and completly agreeded with what Ignatius said. Star thought of the long hours it would have taken to make it that way.

"I agree. Hufflepuff it is!" TJ found it slightly comical that out of the three, they were going to the table which none of them were from. A mixture of the Gryffindor lion, the Slytherin snake and the Ravenclaw raven all mixed into one part of the Hufflepuff table. Talk about diversity.
TJ motioned for the two others to follow him as he sat down in an empty seat, where two empty seats sat directly across of him.
Star sat down quickly and smiled, looking around at the students who where Hufflepuff. They eyed the 3 new students curiously but Star didn't mind. She figured that TJ and Ignatious where smart enough to cast a good, strong charm spell on any who objected them sitting there. She laughed at the thought.
Star looked at Ignatious and TJ wondering if they minded hanging out with a Gryffindor. They seemed to be alright with it right now, at least she hoped they were.

Ignatius followed the other boy to the Hufflepuff Table, where the yellow and black tablecloth was strangely comforting amidst his two new friends. He wondered if any of the students actually from that house were giving them strange looks at the moment - he and Star were rather inconspicuous among students, but TJ was wearing royal blue and could stand out as a Ravenclaw like a sore thumb.
"Hum, anyway, what are you guys going to get? I think I could just settle for a turkey sandwich." And such appeared before him on a platter. He took the food into his hands and took a bite. "Dey weely wernt kiddin were dey, dis food good!" The Slytherin said through bites.
TJ was starving. He spotted a platter of potato salad; his mouth watered at the very sight. TJ took the serving ladle and dumped a bunch of it onto his plate. He also plopped a leg of roast turkey and a fresh baguette.
Star thought for a moment of what she wanted to eat. She wanted something warm that would shoo her shivers away that she was having since she first went to the Arch.
"I think I will have a roasted turkey sandwich!" Star said with a small laugh as it popped up onto her plate. She didn't feel like getting creative on something to eat, she just wanted something warm.
"Yum!" She said excitedly before taking a bite. It was really good for being just a sandwich. Nothing like she would have thought it would taste like but ten times better.
"I think I will try that potatoe salad too! It looks wonderful." She added while taking a spoonful or two.

So the Slytherin couldn't resist - the platters of wonderful food the other two had dug into were tempting him too much. After Star had taken some of the potato salad for herself, Ignatius reached over and took some as well - and decided to grab a baguette too. Oh right, and while he was thinking of that, he also thought of some nice cold pumpkin juice.
That appeared soon after. "I love these Chefs," Ignatius added in as he found some butter to spread on his bread.
OOC: I might have to leave soon for the day... I'll be back tomorrow. Just a before-hand warning.
BIC: Torrid was full by the time he had eaten all his food, and decided to order dessert. A sudden urge made him want to go to the bathroom. "Guys, gotta use the bathroom." Torrid smiled and quickly departed, rushing to the bathroom like a river flooding.
bic: As Ignatius was about to dig into his potato salad, he saw TJ get up storm off to the bathroom quickly. He wondered if he'd be back or not - it appeared he'd left dessert. Whatever the case was, the Slytherin muttered, "Bye then..." before taking the bite of his salad off his spoon.
He turned to look at Star, his friend who was still present, "So," Ignatius said, now trying to make simple conversation as one of the trio had vanished, "What subjects are you most interested in?"
Bic: Star laughed as TJ left to the bathroom. She smiled at Ignatius wondering what he thought of TJ's exit.
"Hmm.." She said taking a small bite to think it over. "I am really interested in Charms. I want to get to know more about it. What about you?" Star asked while taking another small bite and a gulp of whatever had appeared in her cup.
"Charms, huh?" Ignatius said in response, taking a large gulp of his pumpkin juice. The pleasant, cool Wizard's favorite was always refreshing at a meal. The Slytherin took another bite of his potato salad before looking back at the Gryffindor.
"I'm a fan of Transfiguration. See, I was home schooled by my Mom for four years before I came here, and she was always really insistent on Transfiguration being the most crucial part of magic. Luckily I liked it, or else I might've argued otherwise." He laughed, and took a smaller sip of his drink.
"You know I once transfigured a kettle into a chicken!"
Star listened to him with a serious face until the last thing he said made her burst out laughing.
"That's fantastic!" She said when she could finally get some air into breath and speak. "I think the worst I've done is I set my bed on fire when I was 6." Star giggled again, her cheeks blushing, "Although I was sleepwalking when I did it. My parents where so proud!"
Star realized the drink in her cup was pumpkin juice, which was absolutly delicious.
