"Ho, ly, crap that's alot of food..."
Blaze stated, more to himself than the other gryffindors, staring at the large spread of food before him. Now, this was his first meal here at Firefox, and let me tell you, he now knew why they called it the feasting hall. Holy crap now he knew.
He reached for the first thing he could grab, which was a nice, warm, pre-cut loaf of bread. Taking a slice and buttering it up, he took a large bite, decending into total heaven. God it was delicious...
He looked around now, trying to see if anyone else was amazing, or if anyone had noticed the whole open-mouth amazement he'd just shown.
Blaze's amazement, over how good the food was, reminded Jeremy of his first days here. Everything tasted better here, which is one of Jeremy's favorite things about this place. He always figured that they used magic to make the food better, or something. The Gryffindor had never met Blaze in person, but he knew who he was. Jeremy made a point to know all of his fellow Gryffindors, because the better bond you have with the people in your house, the better chances you'll get to win the House Cup.
Jeremy also was snacking a slice of buttered bread. "The food is great, don't you think?" Jeremy knew the answer already, but he thought that was the best way to start a conversation. "Hi, I'm Jeremy," he added quickly after.

"Yeff it iff"
Blaze replied, looking over at Jeremy, another two pieces in his mouth, both sticking out comically. Tilting his head back and swallowing what was in his mouth, he took the bread he hadn't gotten to shoving down his mouth on the plate. He smacked his lips, his eyes clearing showing that the boy was in eating heaven.
"Gods, not even my mum can make bread as good as this. This is the most delicious stuff I've ever tasted. Oh, by the way, name's Blaze"
He said, holding out a non-buttered-covered hand to shake.
He smiled at Blaze's antic, and thought to himself, Nice to have somebody with a sense of humor around. Jeremy wiped his hand on his pant legs, and then shook Blaze's hand. "Nice to meet you Blaze," said the blond. Jeremy was quite simple, very direct, and never misleading. He spoke his mind when he says anything about anyone. What he'll say behind you back, is the same thing he'll say to your face.
Jeremy, done with the bread he was chewing on, grabbed a glass of water to wash it down. "The downside about the food tasting so good here, is that when you leave here, all the food will seem inferior and tasteless," Jeremy told Blaze. This truth was one of the reasons that Jeremy wanted to stay here and teach, or at least help around the school.
"So, Blaze, how do you like it here so far?" Jeremy asked, knowing that the kid was relatively new around here.

"Love it here. Great people, great food, what looks to be great classes. Heck, they even let me keep my 'board!"
Blaze said, a large grin on his face. He couldn't help but be happy. His skateboard was one of his most important possessions in life. It, however, was upstairs on his bed, away from all the food and temptation to ride it around. Although he had it, he didn't need it taken away.
"So Jeremy, how long've you been here for? It's only my first year, and my Sis'll be following behind me next."

"This will be my second year here, but I've spent three years in another school," Jeremy replied. The truth was he had spent three years at four different schools. Jeremy had never found his niche or a purpose at a different school, but this school was different. Even though he wasn't the most sociable in this school, he felt accepted and even wanted. Jeremy believed that feeling wanted is the best feeling in the world, right next to finding true love.
"The first year is always the toughest. But you seem to be fitting in well, so I think you'll have no problems," the blond told Blaze. Jeremy's first year was filled with humility, awkwardness, and a little bit of painfulness, and nothing else.
"So, are you into all sports or just extreme sports?" he asked Blaze. Jeremy was into every sport ever created, which was one reason why he joined the Quidditch team. Quidditch easily became one of his favorite sports, mostly because of the skill needed to play it, but nothing could top American Football.

"Pretty much for me, I'm a Boarder by heart. If there's a wall, I can ride it, and if there's a rail, I can grind it. I can sorta fly, but Quidditch as a full-out sport goes to my Sis. Breeze can fly circles around me."
Blaze said, scarfing down two more pieces of bread. Damnnn that stuff was good! He'd barely noticed the other things around, he was so concentrated on it.
"Watch, next year you'll have someone to look out for. Breeze'll kick someone's arsekavitz to get on the team."

Jeremy appreciated Blaze's attitude about skateboarding. It seems he is very passionate about skateboarding, which is awesome. You should always love what you do Jeremy thought to himself. He looked around at the other food laid across the table, but he was already stuffed on bread.
"I don't think your sister has to try too hard to get on the team. I honestly haven't witnessed a game that a team had their whole team," truthfully said Jeremy. The blond wasn't that great at Quidditch, but he still enjoyed it. "I'm not much of a skater, I can ollie and that's about it," Jeremy said.
"So, have you had the chance to visit any place here? Like Drakborough, the Nymph Woods, or anything?"
Post by Terra Karsa on Aug 4, 2007 17:06:32 GMT -5
"Well, if your team can wait a year, I'm sure Breeze'll be ready to join. Probably flying around right now practicing. As for your boarding, it's not that bad. Most people don't make it that far."
Blaze said, shrugging his shoulders. It'd taken him a while to learn all the stuff he knew. Eh, at least he beat his sister in something.
"No, I haven't been out of the school yet. Still trying to learn my way all around. I'll probably be out and around later."
"Good, we need people to join the Quidditch team, mostly if they are talented," Jeremy told Blaze. Blaze's comment was sort of true that most people can't even ollie. In Jeremy's old town, there was two others kids that owned a skateboard, but only one of them knew how to use it. Then again, his home town was quite small, so it had less of a chance to have a good skateboarder.
"If you decide to go out of the school, you'll probably want to visit Drakborough. It has a few a shops, and a few places to hang out," Jeremy told Blaze. The blond actually only had been there once or twice. He visited the Prank Shop once, which is now closed due to the death of it's owner. The other time he was there, he obtained an owl from a weird kid, which brought Jeremy to his next question, "Do you have any pets?"

Blaze was starting to smile more and more as Jeremy spoke. However, when he asked if he had any pets, he started to laugh, covering his face. Once he'd calmed down, he simply said
"Look at your plate."
On said plate was a bright-red squirrel, with an orange streak going through it's tail. It was currently nibbling on Jeremy's bread. Looking over at Jeremy, it stuck out it's tongue, making a face, before trying to drag it back towards Blaze, who was trying hard not to burst out laughing again.
"That's Chitter for you. Real original name, huh?"

Jeremy laughed at the sight of the Squirrel eating what remained left of his food. The blond didn't mind because he was full, and even if he wasn't, there was enough food for an army left unclaimed "Yeah, I guess that is original," Jeremy replied, still with a grin on his face. Jeremy's attic used to be inhabited by squirrels, so he had gotten sick of them, but Chitter was a refreshing change, even though he did just took some of his food.
"I have an old owl," Jeremy said. The sad part was that he had forgot the name of his pet, who he basically neglected. The only time he ever saw his owl was when he fed him. "His name is Sam, I think," he said. One reason why he couldn't remember was because he didn't pick the name, the kid who gave him the owl did.
He always thought about heading down to the pet shop, to get an animal he could enjoy, and spend time with, but he doesn't know if he would have the money. Jeremy had a few galleons and that's about it. I probably should find a place to work at in Drakborough, Jeremy told himself. He used to help run the gas station his father owned back at home, so work wouldn't be that much of a hassle.

"He's a neat little guy. Pretty cheeky too. Not your average squriell by a long shot."
Blaze said, patting the little squriell on the top of the head, who turned, actually saluted, and then dropped the bread, scurrying up his arm, and resting on top of his head. An interesting little thing indeed. And then Blaze couldn't help but snort as Jeremy said the name of his pet.
"You mean you can't remember the name of your own pet? A hand-me-down?"
"Well I did received this owl from this estranged kid in the town of Drakborough. I didn't even wanted it, he forced gave it to me," Jeremy told Blaze. Even though it sounded strange, it was the truth. "Oh, Samus, his name is Samus!" loudly said Jeremy as he remembered his owl's name. He was a little embarrassed that he just yelled loudly.
"His name is Samus," Jeremy said again, but this time his voice was quiet.
"I've had him for a little more than a year. How long have you had Chitter?" Jeremy asked. The bond between Blaze and his squirrel seemed fairy-tale like. Never had Jeremy had the luxury of having such a close companion. The blond grabbed an apple that wasn't far from him. He eyed Chipper, making sure if it tried anything, he'll notice. Jeremy took a decent sized bite from the delicious green apple.
