Ever since Katana had been sorted into Hufflepuff, she looked worried. Could she find a friend that could keep her secret? She had to find a person tjhat she thought was trustworthy. But whom? She tried to speak but no words came out. She had to say something. " So, umm. Ummm." She couldn't bring herself to speak. I f she spoke, she might spill out her secret. ' Think of something else. Think of something else other than you beind an animaugus!' " So, how was your summer, guys?" Katana was beginning to feel squeamish. She had never really spoken to anyone other than Muggles for awhile. How was she supposed to act? Was that the right question? Would these people about to use a spell on her? She winced and braced herself for the worst. Nearby, she heard a female Slytherin call her a "Blood Traitor". They all joined in and chanted, "Blood traitor, blood traitor!" Katana felt tears rolling down her face. She then got up and ran away as fast as she could. she didn't know where she was going and it didn't matter to her. Nothing was worse to her than being called names, even if you didn't understand what they meant.

"Oi! You lot!" came an angry voice from the Hufflepuff table. Standing up was a young man of about 6'1" and he looked enraged when he heard the Slytherins picking on one of his own. Like a bear that had just woken up from hibernation, the Scot towered over the seated Slytherins and he was very tempted to crack some heads. Wasn't it enough that the Snakes already had enough students in their house? They just had to go and pick on the underdog: well bad luck for them cause this underdog wasn't some pansey. Pushing up the brim of his skipper's hat so he could get an eyeful of the pipsqueaks that mocked Hufflepuff's Honor, Frog glared down at them as if his gaze could melt steel.
"Right you lot. If I hear one more word out of you about 'Blood Traitors', then I'm not going ta be Mister Helpful. Oh no kiddies: it'll be you and me out on the Dueling Fields and then we'll see who's laughing at who! Now bug off or I'll deduct points from you lot." Oh Frog was still steaming at dealing with those rapscallions, but where had the girl that they were picking on gotten off to? He had seen her run away and knew the general direction, so he decided to go after her. As he was an older student, both being faster and knowing the school better, it didn't take him all that long to find the girl.
"Hey Lassie, where's the fire?" asked Frog in a kind voice as caught up to the girl. Noticing the tears on the girl's face, the grey-haired prefect dug into his back pocket in search of a hankerchief. "Ach little missy, those sods back there aren't going ta get anywhere in life making fun of you like that. Why I bet in 4 weeks time, we'll be the ones making fun of them when we outscore 'em. Ah! Here we are now: take this." Forgoil had found his hankerchief and offered it to the girl with his right hand.
"Now then let's wipe those tears away and save 'em for another day, hm? There's a bonnie lass," said Halifirien encouragingly, "Now then, what's you're name little missy?"

She laughed and said, " My name is Anastashia Katana. you can just call me Katana." She wiped away her tears and smiled at the prefect. She gazed at him, wondering what to say. " We are so going to beat them when the house points are counted! What's your name?" She wanted to know the name o0f this gentleman so she could thank him properly. " I'm not used to speaking to people other than the Muggles I live with so I might say the wrong thing at the wrong time. Or even try a highly- advanced spell once in a while. I was born into a Magical family and--" She had stop and try to remember. " Well, I can't remeber much because the Muggles lied about my family. They told me that magic is fake, my parents are on the other side of the world, looking for lost runes, and my sister is at a boarding school in Mexico. But I do remember something they told me. My dad said, Choose a different spell for every situation. I think he's right."

"It's a nice name you've got there, Katana," replied Forgoil as he watched her wipe those tears away. Smiling at her enthusiasm, the grey-haired Prefect continued, "Oh I don't doubt that we'll beat them: it's just that our front is much smaller than any of the other houses. I prefer to view Hufflepuff as an 'Exculsive Club' these days. But I am Forgoil Halifirien: it's a mouthful I know, but a lot of people just call me Frog for short. I don't mind it at all cause if some wise guy gets the nerve to make fun of it: I'm not going to hesitate in teaching him a valuable life lesson."
"It doesn't take a lot of time to get used to the new people that you're going to met here Katana: it just might take some time to fully understand what you are capable of. Knowing your limits and strengths is one of the most important things when you become a wizard. Because if you try a complicated spell that you don't really know or use frequently: you are taking a risk and that risk can be fatal sometimes," said Frog with a twinkle in his eyes, "And that's a wise thing that your father said: one should be able to have a whole arsenal of spells at one's disposal, but if you know a useful spell that can help out in multiple situations: I'd say go for."
"So what sort of things might interest you at our school Katana?"

Charlotte's brows rose as she heard the chanting coming from the Slytherin table. Now there was an uncommon one she hadn't heard in a long time. Blood traitor? "Please," Charlotte sighed, rolling her eyes as she prodded the food on her plate. Could they really not come up with soemthing more original, though.
When Forgoil got up from where he was seated a bit along, a smile crossed the brunette's face. At least it was somebody different for him to get mad at. She wasn't complaining about that one bit. Besides, the mockery was being directed at a First year... might toughen her up a b... oh gods she was crying.
Averting brown eyes, to make as though she hadn't seen what had happened, Charl went back to her meal and intended to get out of the Hall as soon as possible.

((Short post, sorry. I come in peace, Hufflepuffs.))
From the Ravenclaw table, Conor heard some Slytherins chanting names at a tearful girl at the Hufflepuff table. Although he was not a Hufflepuff, he could not help but to help a sad person.
Hurrying over to the Hufflepuff table, he wondered how they would welcome him. Would they think naught of him, or would they welcome him?
These were all the scenarios he thought of as he raced towards the Hufflepuff table, looking to counsel a troubled student.

"Man these housemates of mine are rather unintelligent, wasting precious time chanting out blood traitor when they could use that time to help elevate my plans," Chris thought to himself as he jumped ontop his table and shouted, "Shut the fu..." that was when he realized he was in school so he quickly added, "heck up!"
As Chris gazed out at the table they all turned and beamed a look of distaste as he quickly mummered, "Muffliato," and added, "fellow slytherins, you must be more tactful in your sayings regardless, do not make a scene in this area for we are under close watch and most of us don't want to be watched closer for many of us have other surprises in store for these filthy people, but remember the best way to get back at someone is not through pain and suffering, but to kill them with kindness."
Hoping that he could quickly change the mind of the young hufflepuff not all slytherins are evil on the outside Chris runs up to her and offers his apologies and said, "You know we're all not that bad on the outside." As he stood there waiting for a response.

Hahaha now my rise to greatness will surely come slowly and wisely as I Chris Stran leads his path
Addison smirked as she quietly started her chant. "Blood traitor...." Letting her smirk slip into a smile, she gradually rose her voice as her fellow Slytherins joined in. The poor pathetic girl was nearly in tears, which was giving her quite a bit of enjoyment. She quickly stopped the chanting though as Forgoil stood up and cast his gaze toward her.
"Right you lot. If I hear one more word out of you about 'Blood Traitors', then I'm not going ta be Mister Helpful. Oh no kiddies: it'll be you and me out on the Dueling Fields and then we'll see who's laughing at who! Now bug off or I'll deduct points from you lot."
As soon as he had turned his back to follow the silly first year out, Addison rolled her eyes in disgust....... 'Thinks he's a big man, eh?' she thought to herself. 'Ooooo. Big guy with a badge!'...... Her spiteful thoughts were abruptly disrupted as a fellow Slytherin named Chris began scolding her and her group. Once again she began rolling her eyes as he went on about 'killing them with kindness' and other rubbish. As he ran from the table she couldn't help but mutter "Pansy...." under her breath, before she went back to eating.
Willow had watched the chaos insue with slowly building anger. Taking out her wand, the first year approached the Slytherin table. "What do you have against Hufflepuffs?" Willow snapped, coming up behind Addison suddenly. "She got into the school too didn't she?"
Being muggle-born, Willow was especially irritable about these threats to Katana. Willow continued to glare at Addison, waiting for an answer from the Slytherin girl. "You think you're so big, picking on another when you can't find anything better to do? Oh, that's SO impressive," Willow snarled at her, gripping her wand tightly. She couldn't help it, not really. The taunts had riled her up, and she had been steaming for a way to vent out her frustration on the slytherins. Now was a more perfect time than any.
