Monica entered the hall feeling very sleepy and not much refreshed from last night. That may have been do to the fact that she had slept at four o clock in the morning she would never know. She yawned into her sleeves as she sat down at the correct table but before she could do anything more, she fell asleep.
For a small girl, Daisy had a very large appetite. One of her first actions as a new arrival was to go to the Feasting Hall and fill her plate with goodies. In total, she downed 4 glasses of pumpkin juice, 3 fried eggs, and an entire plate of bacon. Then, since breakfast didn't typically come with dessert, she popped a lollipop into her mouth and made her way to leave.
As she did though, she spotted a girl sleeping at the Gryffindor table, and she wondered if the girl was new here too. Without further hesitation Daisy poked her in the side and giggled.
"Wake up sleepyhead! I'm Daisy. Who're you?" The small girl jittered a little bit on the spot in her oversized robes with the Hufflepuff crest embroidered on them.

"oh god" Monica got up as she thought it was a teacher she breathed a sigh of relief when she saw it was just a student. She smiled wearily. "hey i'm Monica O'Brian....um yea I'm new here got transferred from somewhere I cant think straight....how are you?" she asked.
Daisy smiled cheerfully at Monica after she got over her startlement. She hadn't meant to scare her, but it was no harm done so she might as well not worry about it.
"Welcome to Firefox!" Daisy exclaimed, then adding, "I'm wonderful," to respond to her question. All of her words were spoken around her lollipop, which she currently had jammed into her cheek, making her look somewhat like a chipmunk storing food in its cheeks.
"I'm new here too. What do you think of it?" All of a sudden, Daisy's face seemed to light up, and she realized it was rude to keep her lollipops all to herself if she had enough to share. She pulled a bunch out of her pocket in all different flavors.

"sure" said Monica more in a whisper but this is how she talked all the time she was never loud. She took one that looked like it could've been lemon or lime she would not know until she tasted it. She put it in her mouth and sucked it gently and than she realized it was neither but some kind of a weird flavor that she didnt know. Nevertheless it tasted good. She took the lollipop out of her mouth just enough to say. "I'm sorry I shouldnt have been sleeping...and besides i'm so glad you caught me and not a teacher...if it was my old school i'd be caned..."
Daisy smiled as Monica took one of the lollipops. She had always liked to give presents, even if they were as simple as a piece of candy: she loved to make people happy.
"Don't apologize!" Daisy exclaimed, looking taken aback for a second. It only took a moment before she was smiling again, and she giggled at her own silly actions.
"Don't worry about that here. There's nothing wrong with sleeping in the Great Hall, just as long as you don't miss any classes." Daisy had learned enough in her short stay here to know that people were relatively laid back. As long as you didn't cause trouble people generally liked you.

"Wow...people are laid back....trust me...you dont wanna know what my old school punishments were..." she moaned thinking about them. She showed Daisey her wrists which had a scar where the ropes had bound her. "i was tied up like this for three hours after class...I dozed off in the great hall...my uncle was NOT pleased"
Daisy gasped as she saw the scars. She couldn't believe there were schools that did things like that. It just wasn't very nice at all.
"That's horrible!" Daisy said, her grin fading for the first time. She put the lollipops back in her pocket, knowing that she would drop some if she were surprised again like that. Broken lollipops still tasted good, but they weren't as easy to eat.
"I'm glad I never went to a school like that. This is my first year." Daisy was quiet for a few moments, and her small, pale face was deep in thought.

"Dr. Bloor...I was an endowed...well still am but you call that witch here....yea I thought these stories were...myths and legends..." she took out five thick books entitled
Midnight for Charlie Bone Charlie Bone and the time twister Charlie Bone and the invisible Boy Charlie Bone and the castle of mirrors Charlie bone and the hidden king
"apparently not...I went to Bloors after I found out this wasnt true...I enjoy reading about them I never thought I would be one of them....very few people know I was in Bloor's...."
Daisy was confused for a moment. Monica hadn't always known that magic was real?
"I was raised in a wizarding family," she began, "so I always knew that there was magic and I was going to a school like this." The blonde girl looked very thoughtful. She didn't know that there were other people who hadn't grown up knowing what magic was.
"What's Bloor's?" she asked, slightly confused. She's never heard of such a place.

"well I THOUGHT...it was a fictional school made for the chidlren of the red king, endowed kids, kids with magical powers...well....yea....I thought thats what it was..turns out...it IS real and...well....I found that nasty shock when I was eleven...I could do things with a wand...and my uncle...who I didnt know at the time...visited me that night and sent me straight to Bloor's with him...."
"Wow," Daisy said, not sure of what else to say. She was still confused though, and she examined the books for any clues. They certainly didn't look like anything she had read when she was little. Perhaps they were muggle books.
"It's strange to hear that. I always knew people could do magic..." Once again Daisy looked as though she was pondering something. Then, she appeared to have a sudden epiphany.
"Do you mean you were raised by muggles?" Daisy was very curious indeed. She had never met a muggle born before, though her parents had told her about them. She had never really considered them much really. They seemed like just another story that she heard, like the tales of Beedle the Bard.

"yup muggle born I was raised by muggles although...they werent my birth parenrts...speaking of my birth parents I dont think they're around anymore...my uncle said that they were...gone...and my cousin agrees with him...they're father and son I dont expect them to think any different....but there were some upside to this you know...I could....um...do stuff that muggle kids do...soccer...basketball, bowling, you know...I also learned to do first aid and cook normally....Bloor's its like a magnet school...."
"Huh..." Daisy said, a little confused. She had no idea what soccer, basketball, or bowling was, though she figured they were both sports like quidditch. She understood cooking and first aid, at least, though she couldn't imagine doing it without magic. Her house was equipped with self-stirring pans and ovens that were controlled by the flick of a wand.
"I've never heard of soccer, or basketball. Are they like quidditch? Quidditch is a lot of fun to watch, but my doctor says I'm now allowed to play." Daisy wasn't terribly saddened by that though. She had never been terribly coordinated. She was much better at doing school work.
"How do you cook and heal wounds without magic? I've never heard of people doing it that way. I guess muggles would have to though, considering they can't do magic..."
Meeting Monica was very interesting indeed. She was already learning a lot.

"Well I've got balls to show you if you want they're in my common room if you wait here I can just go and pick them up" the girl left and ran to the doors of the great hall. She ran to the dormtories to fetch the basketball and the soccer ball. She didnt have her bowling ball with her though. She came back with one in each hand. She tossed the basketball to Dasiey while bouncing the soccer ball gently there was no one around so she couldnt hit anoyne else. "Basketball...like quaffals....you throw them to each other...and...score...." she said with a laugh.
