Dale Arfen had been attending Firefox University for a year now. However, he was a bit of an enigma around the school. He kept out of site as much as he possibly could, sitting around in the dungeons playing with muggle devices or reading muggle books about dinosaurs. He did his best to stay out of other peoples' business. If he didn't know anyone, nobody would hate him for being muggle-born, and therefore, nobody would bother him.
That was why the boy had shown up in the feasting hall so early. He didn't want to be around other people, even though his goal when he first came here was to make friends.
He had brought his own breakfast, made up of food his rather wealthy muggle parents had sent by owl. Dale had told them he simply did not enjoy the food served at the school, and they agreed to send him food from home every week.
After sitting down at the deserted Ravenclaw table, Dale pulled a bowl, spoon, a small box of shredded wheat and milk which he had kept cold magically. He poured the cereal and milk into his bowl and started eating. Once he was finished, he could do more research on Dinosaurs and transfiguration so he could become the first ever dinosaur animagus, though he didn't seem to be making much progress.

As Chris wonders into the feasting hall and sits down at his table still groggy as he pulls out his wand and practices his Avis and Orchideous his two most favortie spells of all time as he shoots out flock after flock of birds into the sky watching them dance as he knows this room should still be empty. With the birds flying and the flowers appearing left and right Chris decides it is enough as he leaves realizing that he came a bit too early. Before he leaves he glances around the feasting hall making sure no one noticed his work, untill he saw the Ravenclaw student.
"Ah a new person to talk to," Chris says as he spots him eating some intresting food. So quickly, while carrying his notepad and quills holding it tightly agasint himself shielding it from the peering eyes of others he walks to the Ravenclaw table.
Being the social person that he is, Chris morphs into his golden hawk dropping his notepad and quills as he flies over to the table and slowly gliding down next to the boy as he morphs back.
"Hi," was all Chris said before he realized he dropped his stuff.

"My goodness whoever said mornings were retched was wrong!" Geldy exclaimed with a shining smile as she entered the feasting hall. She had yet to adorn her robes and so was dressed in a Pink t-shirt, blue jeans known in the muggle world as Wranglers, and her favorite shoes. A gold chain was looped neatly around her neck with a simple trinity symbol on it; a gift from Vivian before she'd left Avalon. Her hair was unbound and fell down her back and over her shoulders in wavy curls. She sat down at the Gryffindor table and poured a cup of something black and hot, praying it was coffee. Ever since she was a young girl, the ranch rules of getting up at the crack of dawn had kept her in full supply of hot black coffee at all times. She loved the feel of its warmth spreading thru her as she took a full sip of it. She relaxed back in her chair and closed her eyes.
When she had awoken that morning she had simply put on a soft glamour that required no make-up and had run her fingers thru her tousled hair. She was always languid and soft in the mornings. That was the main reason why she was her father's favorite ranch hand. Her mood never faltered and she was always relaxed. She tilted back her head a bit and closed her eyes. One booted foot was resting on the knee of her other leg and she cradled the hot coffee in her lap. A smile graced her pleasent face and she simply sat in pure serenity.

Dale felt instantly dismayed as he saw the magically conjured birds fly through the feasting hall. He recognized that sort of magic, and was therefore able to tell that another witch or wizard had entered. Apparently, he wasn't up early enough. He simply continued eating his cereal. With any luck, the student would just ignore him.
But Dale didn't have any luck. This other student seemed eager to talk. In response to the boy's greeting, Dale turned his head and eyes slightly and muttered a small, 'hey' in an indifferent and bland tone before he returned to his cereal.
Then a witch entered. His mood dimmed further, though he realized that if this kid realized that Dale wasn't worth talking to, he might go and talk to the witch, leaving Dale in peace. Why hadn't he realized? It didn't matter if a witch entered, because there was no way a girl would want to talk to him anyway. Suddenly feeling more cheerful, Dale poured more shredded wheat into the bowl that now held only milk left over from his first bowl and continued eating.

"He's no fun, no wonder Ravenclaws are given a bad name," Chris says as he walks away but secretly casts an orchideous leaving behind flowers as a sign of good faith as he leaves the boy to himself.
"Oooh a new person maybe she'll be of intrest," Chris says to himself as he morphs into his golden hawk and flies towards her while remeber to stop and bring his books and quills with him. As he reverts back midway he times it correctly landing on the chair next to her and shouts ORCHIDEOUS and AVIS, shooting flocks of birds up in the air flying around as they grab onto the flowers and gently lower them down onto the spot before her.
"So hello there how are you doing?" Chris asks the Gryffindor sitting in front of him as he does a muggle trick and pulls a flower from behind her ear and hands it to her in a loving gesture.

She walked in hoping to see her own kind.. Her appearance was almost... Slutty in a way. She was wearing a black and Blue Mini-skirt with a yet again more Black with blue jean jacket and a shirt and bra underneath. She had on a pair of boots.. Lacey and black. She walked over and sat on the other side of Chris with a tiny smirk on her face. She looked over watching flowers being lowered... If there was one thing she did like of not dark and mysterious it was flowers. Especially Yellow Roses. "Wow..." She whispered to her self..
She leaned back a minute and the sat upright again. She looked at the grand table... it was covered with flowery designs of center pieces. She smiled to see Yellow Roses in the assoetment. She took one out and put it to her nose to smell it... "Ahh.." She smiled as if she wasn't a slytherin, but a happy Gryffindor...
OOC: Pie??? why do you have Pie on your characters Profile? The Ravenclaw..
Geldy was a bit startled from her relaxed position as the Slytherin boy announced so joyously his arrival. She smiled at him and laughed when he pulled a daisy from behind her ear, placing it in front of her. "Well hello yourself." She said taking the flower and tucking it behind her ear. It made a classy hair bob. "It's a lovely flower, and my favorite to boot." Her smile was soft and her eyes glittered with merriment. "What brings you over here?" When she had settled to a sitting upright position once more, the Slytherin girl, Madaline came to sit across from the boy. This girl was everywhere! And her attire was rediculous! Geldy stifled a groan of displeasure but chose to ignore the girl. She was rude, crude, and had really rubbed Geldy the wrong way.
Apparently, Dale's plan had worked. The cheery boy had left, and had gone to talk to the Gryffindor witch. Now Dale could finish his cereal in peace. Upon finishing the shredded wheat, he drained the bowl of the milk that remained before waving his wand, drying the bowl and spoon. He then stood up, and with a few more waves and flicks of his wand, the chair he sat in positioned itself neatly under the table, his backpack opened widely, allowing the former contents to float back inside. Dale had already turned around to head for the door as he waved his wand casually and the backpack lifted itself off of the table and began following him. As Dale stretched his left arm out, one of the straps of his backpack slid itself over to Dale's shoulder. He then slid the his right arm through the other strap before pocketing his wand. It was a trick Dale had been practicing for months, and he got it almost right, though his backpack was upside down.
As he began to take his leave, Dale noticed the other student who had entered the feasting hall, as well as the way she was dressed. As he walked, his gaze was diverted toward her, though he tried not to look as though he was staring at her. Unfortunately, Dale's failure to pay attention resulted in the stubbing of the middle toe of his right foot on one of the other tables. He was not wearing shoes, and he had already stubbed that particular toe earlier in the week.
'Ow!' he shouted as his misadventure caused him to tumble face first into the floor. He was now lying flat on his stomach, his toe sore and the wind knocked out of him. Moreover, he had made himself look stupid in front of other people. Their attention would very likely be drawn toward him.
OOC: NO! Not "Pie", "PI"
How DARE YOU dishonour the name of Pi?!?

She looked over at him, she couldn't help but laugh a bit. So she walked over.. "Walk much??" She giggled and tried to help him up.. "So.. do you stare at all Girls?? Slytherins maybe?? I don't know... but it was kinda creepy..." She snickered... "I am Madaline..." She smiled sweetly, and offered him to join her... "Would you like to join me... for a good breakfast and maybe... talk??"
OOC: Oh, why that does indeed tickle my fancy! yeah duh.. it is Pi.... me being a math geek I should know... OOPS..
A girl was talking to him. Not something he was used to, and something that sent Dale's senses somewhere else. He looked over to the relative direction of the source of the voice. His eyes at a low level, the only things he could see were legs. He quickly looked down, then up at the voice's face. He accepted her help in standing up.
Dale suddenly felt more awkward than he usually did while he was near girls. She had noticed him looking at her. He would need to think of a way of avoiding that subject. He thought of modifying her memory, but that was extreme, and he didn't know how to do that anyway. He would have to use his cleverness to talk his way out of this, which was very difficult when his airways forbade him of that.
More surprising yet, she offered to eat breakfast and...talk to him. Since when did anyone want to do something like that with Dale? Dale had almost never known himself to talk just for the sake of talking.
He had already eaten, and still couldn't talk. He merely shrugged
OOC: By the way, there's a mean mean blocky v.v thing here that changes 'l0l's into 'Oh, why that does indeed tickle my fancy'.
OOC again: And apparently there's ANOTHER one that doesn't let me say 'sensor' unless I spell it incorrectly ><

"Okay... suit yourself.." She laughed.. she was happy and inviting because she had a yellow rose in her hand and still had that scent. If she hadn't... god knows she would have laughed as hard as she could then Hex him just to torture him. She walked back to the table and sat down smiling. Wait a minut... you stupid flower.. She laughed in her mind. I was supposed to be mean... Ugh... She started at the food in the center of the table. Eeew.... that looks like... Puke... She looked back over to the guy she had helped.. He is gonna think I am Crazy.... Oh well.. She smiled reaching for her wand and Whispering "Serpensortia" She laughed as the snake slithered toward him.
OOC: yeah... Oh, why that does indeed tickle my fancy! or l o l

"WHOA WHOA WHOA, WAIT A MINTUE!," Chris shouts as he stands up, "I wanna play too." With that he gathers his stuff once again while pulling the Gryffindor girl of whom he has yet to know her name. Huffing and puffing he made his way to where the ravenclaw boy and slytherin girl were sitting.
Looking at the slytherin girl he notices that she looks like she's in a stage of befuddlement and say looking back onto the table he had neatly decorated he notices that the flowers and says aloud, "Umm I don't know if you know, but these are just reglar flowers they aren't bewitched at all," Chris says laughing as he shouts, "ORCHIDEOUS," and hands the slytherin girl a boquet of flowers.
"By the way my name is Chris," he says as he offers his hand to the ravenclaw and slytherin, " and this person next to me I still have no idea." He says chuckling as he points to the gryffindor whom has yet to tell him her name.
Simply amazed at both of these beauties Chris stands there wait for an answer as he orders his birds to sing a beautiful song like non other, hoping he could try to impress one of them and prehaps make the ravenclaw boy talk to him.
Hahaha now my rise to greatness will surely come slowly and wisely as I Chris Stran leads his path
Geldy laughed delightedly at the Slytherin boy's exciting manner. He was entertaining beyond compare and she adored his little tricks. Realizing she had indeed been rude and not introduced herself, Geldy stuck out her hand. "Geldaline Rayanne. But you may call me Geldy." The boy shook her hand and proceeded to try to woo her and Madaline with the birds song. She smiled brightly and whistled a light lilting tune, bringing one particular little fella to rest on her wrist. "Hello darling little one." She said lovingly as she stroked his head. The bird twittered in happiness and curved his head into her palm. Geldy had always had a way with animals. She was incredibly kind and loved them all so much. Perhaps that was why she had been sent such a powerful spirit guide. Letting the slight creature free to fly once more she looked back to the group. "Exactly what game are we playing here?"
Dale Arfen regained his breath as the girl walked away. He was about to leave, but he heard an unfamiliar incantation, and noticed the conjured serpent making its way toward him. He stared at it briefly, shook the hand of the other boy out of politeness, though not taking his gaze off of the snake, then drew his wand.
The boy merely made a small gesture with his wand and wordlessly cast a levitation charm. The snake rose up into the air, curved away from Dale. It descended after nearly hitting the ceiling, then hit the floor, vanishing with a small poof.
Now turning his head slightly toward the Gryffindor girl, Dale began to answer her question with his own interpretation of things. "Apparently one where we send vicious snakes after each other for fun," he said in a bitter tone. He was no longer nervous about being near two girls, and talking to them, but quite irritated at the one for sending the snake after him, and almost equally irritated and the boy who had taken it so lightly.
He wanted to get even now. He was not good at hexes or jinxes, but if he could apply it correctly, his aptitude in transfiguration and charms might be of help. He began fidgeting with his wand, twirling and tossing it harmlessly. The tip if his wand moving in several directions, until it pointed pointed to the Slytherin girl's feet. Disguising his the necessarily wand movements with his fidgeting, her boots were transformed into iron. I split second later, his wand once again pointed to the girl's feet, and he wordlessly cast a charm to make boots feel heavier. It would now be almost impossible to remove her self from the position she was in until Dale removed it, it wore off or she removed it, though if all had gone well, she wouldn't recognize the magic he had used, and more importantly, he could leave the great hall before she noticed.
He began to walk away, still fidgeting with his wand feeling bitter. He hoped he would never have to see this girl again.

She saw him bring up a boquet of yellow Roses.. "Wow..!" She smiled and accepted the Graciously. "Aww... how sweet... Yellow Roses" She smiled brightly. "My favorite." She took a smell of them then looked up upon the beautiful birds. She looked back down to him and Smiled.. "Chris? I am Madaline, but, you can call me Madd.."
She trailed off Noticing Geldy again. "Oh... hi.. I am really sorry about earlier..." She spoke again then went back to Chris.. "Maddie.." She smiled and offered him a seat.. "Uh... I didn't know we were playing a game??" She wondered about as to what he was refering to. "But... if it was who can Woo... the girl... I guess it goes to Chris..." She smiled as she sat back down.
She tried to move after seeing his wand move... "Uh.... What is this!" She pulled her wand and pointed to her feet. "Deletrius" She said with a mild angered tone. She set the Roses on the table so she would not mess them up. She pointed her wand at Dale and spoke again. "Incendio" she said pointing to his feet... Her feet were heavy his were going to be put to fire... what could be more... fair than that?
