The Spanish sky was a cloudless blue on this particular February afternoon.
A perfect day to practice my hostess skills. thought Ashelle. She took up her recently bought Tetsubin Tea Set, and left the Common Room. She walked down stairs and through corridors till she reached the Great Hall. She walked up to the very end of the Gryffindor table nearest the High Table and began to set up. She'd come down here because she thought she might have more guests than if she just waited in the Common Room.
Taking the set from the embroidered box it was kept in, Ashelle began to set it up. She first positioned the bamboo tea tray in the center of the table, then put the small cups down one at each end. there was four cups in the set but Ashelle wasn't sure if anyone was going to show up at all, and there for didn't want to seem presumptuous. She then put down the cast iron trivet in the middle, so that she didn't damage the bamboo tray with the hot tea pot. She then spoke to the table.
"A pitcher of filtered spring water, please." It took a moment, but the pitcher soon appeared on her right. Ashelle smiled, she hadn't been sure the house elves had spring water, but was glad that they did, the Tetsubin Tea Set's directions called for it in order to produce the 'purest tasting' tea. She then opened the small jar of Green Tea leaves and put some into the infuser basket, then placed the infuser basket into the teapot.
The directions said to never boil the water in the Tetsubin Pot it self, so Ashelle cast the heating spell on the water while it was in the pitcher instead. Once the water was hot enough, Ashelle carefully poured some into the tea pot and then placed the pot's cover on, and let the tea brew. While she waited she got out the sugar plate and placed sugar cubes in it, then ordered a very small pitcher of milk and some delicious tea foods.
All I can do is wait now, she thought. I hope someone besides me takes tea in the afternoons.
